The Rescue of the Beloved

Carin City is located not far from Moon City. Just like Moon City, Carin City is also close to Deuz River. The normal distance from Moon City to Carin City is a 4 day ride on horseback.

Daru and Xavier are currently in Carin City after a few minutes of traveling on the Griffon. Daru was slightly nauseous after coming down from the back of Griffon Xavier. How not? The animal is too fast!

"You all right?" xavier asked in a mocking tone.

"Don't mind me" said Daru, covering his mouth with his right hand.

"Let's go to a lonely place, I'll hide you." Xavier and Daru break into a small alley and begin their plan.

"It has. Only I can see you. Other people won't even be able to see your stuff" Xavier said after completing a stealth spell for Daru.

Daru was completely amazed by magic. Just this time he felt a magic spell envelop his body. When Daru tried to look at his hand, his hand was translucent. He also tried to pull out a plasma match from the dimensional ring and the match was also translucent.

"Are you sure no one can break through your stealth magic?" ask Daru.

"I want you to talk as loud as I touch you, you can make fun of me in front of them, I need a little diversion. And give me a sign that all the higher-ups are present" Daru whispered after seeing the waiter who escorted the two of them out of the room.

Xavier nodded in understanding and returned to his calm position.

Shortly after, the Gloria Nobles Family Clerk entered the room one by one. Daru saw that nine people in the same clothes had entered the room.

Xavier nodded once again giving a sign that all the Gloria Family Elders had been present.

"So what can we help you with, Mr Xavier?" ask Verness Gloria.

Daru patted Xavier on the shoulder and prepared to light a match as Xavier increased the volume.

"There was an artifact left by my teacher and it happened to be on Sarren Hill. The stupid Daru didn't tell me where it was before he breathed his last," Xavier said with a loud enough volume, giving Daru a chance to light the incense. He walked slowly around the people to spread the scent of incense.

"So you want us to look for him there? Of course Mr. Xavier, tent-" Suddenly Verness Gloria stopped her words and expression blankly.

Xavier furrowed his brows in astonishment at Verness Gloria's sudden change in attitude. As Xavier swept his gaze over everyone, he was even more shocked because everyone had the same expression as Verness. Xavier's expression of astonishment was split apart from smelling the scent that brought calmness, leaving him speechless like the others.

"Successfully?" murmured Daru after seeing the facial changes of everyone.

"Stand up" said Daru trying to give the order.

Everyone including Xavier stood up.

It's stunning! said Daru in heart.

"Xavier, unleash my stealth magic" Daru orders Xavier.

Xavier extended his hand towards Daru and in just a moment, Daru became visible again.

Daru walked up to the higher-ups of the Gloria Family and placed a piece of blood contract letter in front of each person. Afterwards, Daru said, "Except Xavier, injure your thumbs and stress it on the blood contract in front of each of you! Say 'I agree to this contract' now!"

They all carried out the order without any complaints at all, making Daru excited.

"I agree to this blood contract." Everyone except Xavier and Daru said simultaneously. Suddenly the blood contract sheet gave off a red glow.

"What's going on?" vernes Gloria said as she endured the pain that slowly disappeared after she undoed her intention to scream.

The expressions of the nine Gloria Family Elders became even worse, they began to regret having touched the Lion's tail.

Verness suddenly recalled something and looked at Xavier.

Frey is still in the basement of the Gloria Family. The lower room had a wall made of irregular stone with minimal light. Currently he was still under the influence of paralysis magic. She kept shedding her tears, not because of her crippling condition, but because she was worried if Daru came to save her.

The masked man with the head of a crow was aware that Frey was crying.

Then suddenly, Frey hears a voice from someone she loves very much.

Frey could only hear and try to guess what had just happened. He could not move his entire limbs, so he could not move his head to look at Daru.

"Xavier, how long is the effect of your paralyzing magic?" ask Daru to Xavier.

"Xavier, give me a blood contract," Daru's plea to Xavier.

Xavier hands Daru a blood contract out of curiosity as to what Daru will do.

Daru accepted the blood contract and placed it next to the masked man.

"Sign and I will give a lighter sentence" Daru told the masked man.

The masked man began to think about what kind of punishment he would receive if he did not sign the slave blood contract.

"If you don't sign it, I'll break all the bones in your body and I'll throw you into the Dark Plain" Daru threatened.

The masked man was frightened after hearing the word Dark Plain. Only people who were not afraid of death would dare to set foot on the Dark Plain.

"I'll sign him" said the masked man in fear.

He immediately dripped his blood and said, "I agree to this blood contract."

As before, the blood contract sheet gave off a red-colored radiance and slowly dimmed before the rays were completely extinguished.

Daru took the blood contract and said to Xavier "Use the magic of paralysis on him."

Xavier said nothing and obeyed Daru's words. After the masked man was incapacitated, Daru said, "With the blood contract, I order you to ... stand up!"
