Murder on Sarren Hill

"That's your head?" ask Frey scared.

"Similar enough, right? With this, I wish they were fooled." Daru rested his head against Frey's thigh.

"I want to close Sarren Hill tomorrow, just think of it as a vacation for all of you" Daru added.

"You want me to spread the news of your death too?" frey asked after realizing Daru's plan.

"No, with my head as proof, the one who wants me dead will just believe me. Just close the portal and don't let anyone in."

"Then, what are your plans after that?" ask Frey again.

"I'll" Daru's words were cut off because he heard the knocking sound of the door.

"Boss, someone claimed to have accepted your invitation. But he didn't mention her name." The voice behind the door was that of Shera.

Shera immediately went down to the upper first floor to pick up Daru's guests.

The man still maintained his expression and sat in front of Daru.

"I'm sure, you're the one the Black Crow called out to, right?" ask Daru.

The man nodded his head as a sign that Daru was right.

The man nodded once more.

"Do you want to take the money?" asked Daru with a big smile.

For the first time, the man changed his expression, his eyebrows raised for a moment before being sewn into one.

"You want me to kill you?" The man asked in an extremely hoarse voice, like the sound coming out of a bloodthirsty monster.

Daru was a little surprised at the man's voice, but he immediately returned to his consciousness and said, "No, I just asked. Do you want that money or not?"

"Yes, if it can be obtained without having to kill you, I will." The man really could not guess what was on Daru's mind.

Daru took out a black bundle that contained a clone of his head and threw it towards the man.

"Give it to the person who wants me dead, and I'll make sure you get your pay" Daru said.

The man was curious and opened the package.

"Hows it? You want the money?" ask Daru once more.

"Sure-sure!" shouted the man with a little hoarse.

"Then meet Mr. Klein with that head. Tell him that I asked him to see Dante tomorrow and say that I have died with that head as proof. For the things that happen next, I'll take care of them." Daru explained with incredible calm.

"I'll do it!" yelled at the man again.

"Share the gift of my head with the other person that the Black Crow met earlier. You can go now" said Daru.

The man nodded and walked towards the door to immediately do his job.

Daru's shout made the man stop his steps and look at Daru curiously.

"I love the leaks for you. No hit man can break into my shop except the Black Crow. I'm sure your identity is known to the guards, so, when you get out of this room, my guards will attack you" Daru told a lie.

The man gulped his saliva in fear because he knew the terrifying power that the Sarren Hill guards had.

Meanwhile on the top first floor, Rena was very enthusiastic about the task she was going to do. Not only Rena, Rei and Gordon who were guarding beside the portal also showed an enthusiastic expression.

When the two men were close enough to the portal, Rei and Gordon smiled before pulling their swords. Rei and Gordon darted from the front while Rena was at the back, the man was surrounded.

"Shadow magic of the seventh form, smelting." The man said it before patting both his hands. Suddenly, his body disappeared and left only a shadow that was on the ground.

"I almost forgot that this magic doesn't include stealth magic. I have to get out now!" the man shouted before his shadow moved swiftly towards the portal.

Upon arriving at the portal, the man returned to his original form and brandished his middle finger towards Rena and the others before disappearing.

"Dream!" Suddenly a scream was heard from inside the shop.

Moments before the hit man disappeared.

Frey was putting the items he had picked up from the lower second floor in the display case. While he was focused on doing his job, he heard Rena yell while she pointed her sword at a man running from the upper second floor.

Starting already? thought Frey.

As Rena chased the man outside the shop, Frey put on a panicked expression and ran towards the upper second floor. The panic of Frey's face is realized by everyone there, only to make them wonder what is going on, including Shera, Sylph, and Ged who do not know Daru's scheme.

Frey arrived on the upper second floor, after making sure no one was following him, he opened the door and found Daru sitting with a flat expression while inserting his little finger into one of his nostrils.

"Scream," whispered Daru very quietly.

Frey understood what Daru meant, and he shouted, "Daru!"

Frey's screams made the entire store full of excitement. Everyone began to combine guesses and draw very clear conclusions.

"The man who ran earlier killed Lord Daru?" say one customer.

Everyone is excited because what the customer is saying really makes sense.

"Get out of the store now!" shera shouted before rushing towards the upper second floor.

All the customers were a little reluctant to leave the store because they wanted to see Daru's condition, but because they knew the sadness that was emanating from Shera's face, they chose to leave.

Sylph and Ged caught up with Shera after making sure all the customers had left. When the two of them were almost at the door of the upper second floor room, they saw Shera being coveted in front of the door.

"Boss!" shera shouted with sadness.

Sylph and Ged immediately approached the door of the room on the upper second floor and saw Daru's body in Frey's arms with blood-like red patches.

The two of them also shouted and in panic, they approached Daru's body.

As they approached, they smelled a familiar smell to them, like the smell of wood but it was very fragrant.

"It's a healing potion" Daru said before rising to his feet.

"Eh?" Shera, Sylph, and Ged are shocked after seeing Daru who turns out to be fine.

"I'm just fishing for your screams. That way, a lot of people will think I'm dead. For the next time, you three put on a sad face and tell everyone to leave Sarren Hill because there is a problem" said Daru.

"But ..., why Boss?" shera asked confusedly.

"You'll find out later, just do it" Daru replied

The three of them nodded and went to carry out their duties.
