The four men went to the village, leaving Arlin there to stay on guard. Upon arriving, Daru's gaze turned ugly, as if he had seen something very, very sad.

Daru looked at the village as nothing more than a slum with several buildings that were on the verge of collapse. Daru also saw that the villagers were not humans, but rather elves, dwarf humans, and half-animal humans. The residents had blank stares as if they had no life. However, their gazes sparkled when they saw a human walking beside their master, Sergio.

The residents immediately knelt down with joyful expressions, and some even stuck their foreheads to the ground crying.

"Tuffa and Dior, you go. I want to talk to Daru in the meeting room" Sergio said.

"Good, Master!"

Sergio escorts Daru to a building that is better than any other building. When the two of them entered, Daru was surprised to see a pile of fruits and meat that looked ripe on the table.

"It's a banquet for you, eat it" Sergio said, pointing to the pile.

"I'm sorry, I hate this" Daru said before stepping out of the room, leaving Sergio still smiling with relief.

I really did not choose you wrong, Daru, Sergio said in his heart.

When Daru was already outside the building he shouted, "You guys who can hear me, gather!"

All the residents who heard and realized that the one calling them was Daru immediately gathered and knelt before him.

"Don't be a stupid creature!" Daru took out the table and all the food he had taken before. He said, "Eat."

The residents kneeling before Daru exchanged glances before one of the old elves said, "Pardon us, sir. We dare not eat the banquet Mr."

Daru then picked up an apple and said, "I thank you guys for the banquet and thank you for it. I don't like eating alone. So take your food at the table and eat with me."

The residents exchanged glances once again, they absolutely could not eat the banquet they had prepared for their savior, Daru.

Just as the remark was a huge blow to the residents there, they all prostrated themselves, stuck their foreheads on the ground and shouted, "Please don't go, Master!"

"Then eat. That's easy, right?" said Daru while smiling.

They also slowly took the food on the table and ate it greedily, leaving no food there.

Daru with an apple in his hand went back into the building, meeting Sergio.

"Hahh, they are so stubborn," Daru murmured after entering the building.

"They're not like people who are too selfish" said Sergio who was sitting in a chair not far from the door.

Daru approached Sergio and sat down in front of him, saying, "So, tell me about what happened 100 years ago, your origins, and why you called me into this world."
