Chapter 44: Scarlett vs. Emma

"Emma you don't have to apologize with a cocky woman like her,"

"He must apologize and admit his mistake. Because I'm the victim here" Scarlett said.

"It's not just him, it's you too" Scarlett said of Emma's friends.

"That's arrogant. We better get out of here. There is no meaning in serving a woman like her" Sofia said, taking Emma and her other friends away. Scarlett clenched her hand. Angry at having defamed him. Emma even put her winning smile on front of her. Unaccepting, Scarlett doused them with a drink from the late table to her left.

"You're impudent" said Sofia angrily, as she approached Scarlett and slapped her.

"How dare you," Scarlett held her right cheek that Sofia slapped.

"I'll show you what a slap really looks like" Scarlett said with fiery eyes.

"Plak.plak.." The loud slap hit Sofia's face.

"Stop there stupid." said Scarlett pointed to Sofia's friend who was going against her. Instantly the woman shrieked at the sharp gaze from Scarlett.

"You fools are so. Emma's only using you as her tool. Look, he doesn't even dare to fight me. He doesn't want to be blamed. You were made a scapegoat by her," Scarlett said staring at Emma's disdain.

Suddenly the atmosphere became silent as Frank and Alden walked into the cafeteria.

"Good day, Mr. Frank" said the employee, lowering his head. As usual, Frank just kept quiet, passed them by.

"What's going on there?" alden asked curiously looking at the crowd.

"I know why you asked me. Are you getting senile. I just came here too" Frank told Alden.

"Isn't that Scarlett," Alden said reflexively to get Frank to approach the crowd. Alden followed Frank from behind.

"What happened," Frank said with his cold aura that terrified everyone. Frank sees Scarlett looking messy. His gaze turned to Emma and her two wet friends.

"Ck. look at that face. Basic two-faced," Scarlett's lips stared at Emma's face. Scarlett was so fed up with that woman. He was sure that after this he would pretend again, to seek Frank's sympathy.

"Sir Frank, I accidentally knocked your secretary down. I apologized to him. I know it was my fault" Emma put on her sad face. Some people were surprised when Emma called Scarlett Frank's secretary. They just found out the face of their new secretary.

"Emma apologized, and Scarlett doused her with water instead. We were also watered down for thinking we were deliberately supporting Emma to make her fall. Emma was unintentional. We saw it for ourselves" Sofia said in defence of Emma.

"He even slapped me sir," Sofia said.

"That's because your mouth is too presumptuous" Scarlett's chiming made everyone look at her. What the woman was not afraid of was their boss who was currently displaying his cold and furious aura.

"They did it intentionally. Emma stuck out her leg as I passed by, sir," Scarlett's defense against her. It's good they cornered him.

"I was unintentionally sir, my legs did feel sore. I did a little stretching and didn't know Scarlett was going to pass by at the time" Emma said, bowing her head.

"Hey, obviously you did it on purpose considering you didn't like me in the first place" Scarlett said.

"What do you mean Scarlett. Ak___" Emma pursed her lips when she saw Frank raising one hand, hinting to keep her quiet.

"Alden. take care of this mess. I don't want anything like this to happen again in my company" Frank ordered. Alden then nodded.

"You" said Frank, staring at Scarlett.

"Follow me!" frank's orders then go. Scarlett walked up to the man from behind.
