CHAPTER 59 Calvin Like A Crazy Man

"Why are you looking at me like that? Is there something strange on my face after last night's incident?" calvin asked because he had been stared at by Rachel.

"No, I'm just checking your honesty" Rachel replied, turning her gaze away.

"Hey, do I look like a lying person" Calvin asked.

"No idea" Rachel replied without looking at Calvin.

"Calvin, thank God you finally came to your senses as well" said Rossa, who had just arrived after returning home to take a bath and change clothes. "How are you doing, baby?" rossa asked as she walked towards him.

"Calvin's fine, mom," Calvin replied, looking at Rossa and turning to Rachel.

"Because Calvin's situation is better, and you have come, I let him go home first" said Rachel then turned around to go home.

"Wait for Rachel" exclaimed Calvin, "do you not want to take care of me any longer?" ask Calvin then.

Rachel's footsteps stopped, she turned to Calvin and Rossa, "sorry, your mommy has come, and you're doing better, there's no reason for me to stay," rachel answered and walked out of the room.

Calvin who saw Rachel's body missing behind the door could only exhale it violently.

"Patience dear, if he is destined for you, then you will definitely unite," said Rossa rubbed Calvin's arm to calm Calvin.

"Yes mom" replied Calvin lethargic.

Rachel has now arrived at her adoptive parents' house.

"Mama?" call Rachel when she sees Nola in the kitchen.

"Yes, you just got home? How's your friend doing?" ask Nola.

"Yes ma, Rachel just got home, thank God things are better, ma. Oh yeah, where's dad?" ask Rachel after she's been looking for her dad.

"Let's see, dad and papa you suddenly left without saying anything to mama, oh yeah, stay here longer, mama wants to take you for a walk."

"Sorry ma, Rachel can't stay long because Rachel has an important meeting tomorrow, and Rachel has to get ready to go home right now, noon, the plane that Rachel will be flying on."

"Calvin, Mommy wants to go to the minimarket ahead there for a while, there's something mommy should buy, you don't papa right mommy stay? Just for a moment," said Rossa immediately disperse the reverie Calvin.

"Oh yes, ma'am, Calvin is not a child, if there is anything, Calvin can immediately call the nurse," replied Calvin slightly laughing.

"Well, then mama's gone firstwell" said Rossa then out of the room leaving Calvin alone.

Shortly after, the sound of knocking on the door was heard from outside.

"Lord" said Calvin stammered and soon rose from his sleep, though his stomach ached upon awakening, but Calvin tried hard to hold it.

"How are you doing?" ask Robert who is walking closer to Edward.

"It's better, sir," Calvin replied awkwardly.

"Where's Rachel?" ask Edward flatly.

"Rachel came home this morning, sir," Calvin replied, making Edward nod.

"You know what I came here for?" ask Edward.

"No sir" replied Calvin.

"Well, I'm here to talk to you seriously about my daughter" Edward said.

"Please sir" Calvin.

"Do you love Rachel?"

"Yes sir, I love Rachel."

"Since when?"

"Since Rachel still uses Michel."

"How much do you love him?"

Calvin was silent for a moment, when asked about it, Calvin himself was unable to describe in words how much he loved Rachel, whom he knew, from the past until this moment, her love for Rachel never changed.

"If asked about this, to be honest, I can't answer, but maybe this wound in my stomach could be proof of how much love I have for her, even if life is at stake, I'm ready."

Edward paused for a moment, "all right, let's prove the truth of your words" Edward said, then pulled out a gun from his pants pocket and pointed it at Calvin's head.

Calvin was certainly very surprised, but he slowly closed his eyes without putting up any resistance or even giving any defense. He thought maybe this way the mistakes his father had made could he redeem without leaving any more grudges.

Edward smiled in a slant before turning the gun away from Calvin's head.

"Basic stupid! If you let yourself die, then who will look after my daughter?" edward immediately opened Calvin's eyes, for a moment he digested what Edward had just said.

"What do you mean, sir?" ask Calvin who wants to make sure Edward means.

"Gosh you, I really don't understand what Rachel likes about you until she's willing to take care of you all night so she doesn't want to come home with me" Edward said, making Robert smile.

"Have you blessed my relationship with Rachel?" ask Calvin again.

"What do you mean relationship? Rachel is not a girl who wants to be in a relationship with a man other than a marriage relationship" Edward said.

"Okay, sir, I will marry Rachel soon" Calvin replied with a happy smile that could not escape his face.

"Hurry to propose to her, if you're slow to act, I'll find another man to marry Rachel" Edward threatened.

"Okay, sir, I'm going to go propose to him right away" said Calvin, then he was about to pull out the hose of the infusion but Robert immediately restrained him.

"Geez, you're so innocent, if you force yourself to leave now, and then you die in the middle of the road, of course Mr. Edward's mission to find Rachel another man will be done faster," sela Robert made Calvin grin stupidly while scratching his head that did not itch.

"Thank you so much sir, once I'm healed I'll go straight to Rachel" said Calvin, looking down, "then do you approve of me marrying Rachel means you've forgiven my father too?" continues asking.

"Regarding that I still think, I cannot forgive your father easily, for every time I remember his name I immediately cried out to my late wife" replied Edward lethargic.

"Hopefully one day you can forgive my father, sir," Calvin said.

After Edward and Robert's departure, Calvin continued to smile, and he even now seemed like a madman who smiled to himself without cause.

"I had to call Rachel, "her monologue immediately took her phone and dialed Rachel's number, but after several attempts, instead of Rachel's voice, she heard, but the voice of the operator who said that Rachel's phone is not active.

Note: Author wants to explain the use of father and papa calls, father is Rachel's call to Edward, and papa is Rachel's call to Robert. So the two words were indeed the author used to indicate two different people.
