CHAPTER 49 Dinner

Three years later

A beautiful girl walked so gracefully into the company engaged in the field of IT Solution named Vera Solution. The company located in the United States is only 2 years old since its establishment.

"Good morning, Miss Rachel," said a handsome man with long hair and a beautiful woman.

"Good morning Morgan, Lucy, what's our schedule today, Lucy?" a 22-year-old woman named Rachelia Edward asked her secretary, Lucy.

Since the mission was successful three years ago, now Rachel and Edward decided to move to the United States to start a new life while building a new business. Although initially difficult and many challenges, finally the company that uses his mother's name now managed to become one of the IT solution companies whose products are always in demand by many other companies.

"Alright, thank you Lucy," replied Rachel.

"Oh yes, miss, tonight, you want to have dinner with the lady at Emerald's restaurant" Morgan added.

"Ouh, well, that means my agenda today is just that right?" rachel asked, Lucy and Morgan nodded compactly.

Rachel also began to do the agenda one by one so smoothly, that it did not feel even night to pick up.

"Miss, sir is waiting at the restaurant." Morgan reminded Rachel who was still busy tidying up her desk.

"Alright, come on," Rachel replied as she walked vigorously ahead of Morgan.

Morgan is currently Rachel's personal assistant, so no matter where Rachel goes she will come along, unless it's a very personal thing or Rachel herself asks her not to.

"We have arrived miss" Morgan said after perfectly parking his car in the parking lot of the luxury restaurant.

"Follow dinner with us Morgan, you haven't had dinner yet, have you?" take Rachel.

"I had dinner last night, miss, after all there is something personal that you want to talk about with the lady in 4 eyes" Morgan subtly refused.

"All right, I understand." Rachel then got out of the car and walked inside the restaurant looking for the VIP room where her father was currently waiting for her.

"Dad." said Rachel as she opened the door to the room.

"Rachel, you've come at last, sit down baby, you're hungry" Edward said.

"Waaah.. Lots of food, and all of it Rachel's favorite food," exclaimed Rachel enthusiastically looking at her favorite food neatly lined up on the table.

"Of course, dear, I have prepared all this specifically for you" Edward said smiling happily at his beloved daughter. "Oh yeah, this is for you, dad's special, Happy Birthday my little girl," Edward continued as he thrust a small gift box toward Rachel.

"Waaah.. Thank you so much dad." Rachel's eyes glazed over with Edward's gifts and congratulations. "Oh yeah, Rachel is no longer a little girl, why do you always call me little girl?" ask Rachel.

Hearing Edward's words, Rachel's tears that had been pooled in her eyes immediately spilled onto her reddish-white cheeks. Without speaking, Rachel immediately rushed to hug Edward and cried when she was in his arms.

After a few minutes of spending time shedding affection between father and son, they began to enjoy the food.

"Oh yes Rachel, you are 22 years old now, are you still not interested in marriage or even just having a lover?" edward asked, he was surprised by his daughter who had never been close to any man except Morgan, even if it was only a matter of work. Although there are many men who want to make Rachel his lover, but Rachel always refuses.

"Dad, Rachel used to say that Rachel didn't want to have a relationship other than marriage. But for now Rachel has not thought about the direction of marriage because of the many men who came, Rachel has not found one that really seriously wants to get married," replied Rachel.

"If you haven't found a serious man who wants to get married, how about you offer someone to you, I'm sure this guy is serious and ready to marry you?" edward asked with a serious face.

Rachel who was still enjoying her favorite food suddenly stopped eating it. "Who's dad?" ask Rachel.

"He's a good, loyal man, he's been around you all this time" Edward said, raising his eyebrows.

Rachel furrowed her brows, "always being around me? Who's dad?" rachel asked and drank a glass of water.

"Who else, Morgan," replied Edward casually making Rachel instantly cough with choking tears with perfectly patterned eyes.

"What's? Morgan?" rachel repeated with the same expression.

"Yes, why? Is not he handsome, he is also 32 years old, a very mature age to get married is not it?"

"But dad, Morgan's Rachel already thinks like a sister herself."

"Didn't you have feelings for her after all this time you were with her?"

"No dad, Rachel knows what it's like to be around Rachel's loved ones, Rachel's heart is pounding, and that's never Rachel's feeling around Morgan."

Edward exhaled, to be honest he really liked if Rachel married Morgan, but he realized that the one who will undergo this marriage is Rachel so Rachel has more right to decide.

"Wait a minute, you said that you know what it's like when you love someone, have you ever loved someone before?" edward asked then, making Rachel suddenly stunned, he did not expect that the answer he gave to his father would be a boomerang for him.

"Eh that.. Anu's.. Anu.." Rachel stuttered like she did not know what to talk about at this moment.

"Anu.. Anu's.. Whahuh? be honest with father" urged Edward who began to be curious.

"Yes dad, Rachel used to be in love with someone" replied Rachel who now turned lethargic.

"Who is that, baby? Do you still love him now?" ask Edward again.

Edward's last question managed to make Rachel stunned, her tongue immediately seemed unable to answer. Rachel herself did not know how her heart was at the moment. He used to think that when he moved to America, he could slowly forget his first love, but when asked about his current feelings, he was still unable to answer it.
