CHAPTER 52 The Four Eyes

Shally's wedding tonight was so festive that it didn't feel like the time was 11 p.m.

"Morgan, it looks like we have to go home, I'll say goodbye to Shally first, you wait for me in the car" Rachel said.

"Well, miss," replied Morgan and they parted ways.

Rachel began to go towards Shally who currently seemed to be talking to a man who only had his back visible.

"Shally, I want to go home" Rachel said, making Shally turn to her.

"Ah, you came in time, I want to introduce you to my cousin," replied Shally then turned the body of the man before her to turn towards Rachel, "introduce, this is my cousin Calvin," he continued so enthusiastically.

Calvin and Rachel's heart immediately pounded when the net they met each other, after 3 years, now they are reunited unexpectedly.

"Rachel," said Rachel introducing herself as she extended her hand.

Calvin furrowed his eyebrows confused by Rachel's attitude that was like being theatrical did not recognize him, in addition to the first time, Rachel reached out to him, even though as long as she knew him, Rachel reached out to him, Rachel never once wanted to come into contact with him.

"Calvin," said Calvin then, grabbing Rachel's hand. Long enough for Calvin to shake Rachel's hand, he wanted to see how Rachel reacted as she shook her hand for a long time. And sure enough, Rachel looked so uncomfortable as she was about to take off her hand and Calvin held her back.

"Oh yeah Rachel, where's your boyfriend?" shally's question instantly stunned Calvin and let go of Rachel's hand.

"Oh in-he was in the car waiting for me, I went home firstwell, bye," said Rachel then hurried away leaving Shally and Calvin who were now staring softly at her.

Meanwhile, Rachel, who was in the car, was silent when Morgan began driving her car home.

His hands clasped each other and he put the two hands together on his chest which until now still felt pounding violently. The atmosphere in the car was quite silent, Morgan who saw Rachel's slightly different attitude could only be silent and did not want to comment on it because he already knew what answer he would receive like that time, "no papa", a common answer that women often say when they are not okay.

Until they don't feel their car reaches Rachel's yard.

"Dad I came home" said Rachel when she found her father sitting watching TV in the living room.

"How's the party, baby" asked Edward.

"Room and Festive" said Rachel and sat her ass on the sofa right next to Edward.

"What's wrong? Does your chest hurt?" edward asked when he saw Rachel still faithfully holding her chest that was still slightly pounding.

"Eh no father, Rachel is just tired," replied Rachel who was also very tired.

"Oh rest then dear," cried Edward as he looked back at the TV screen in front of him, but Rachel did not respond.

"Rachel?" repeated Edward while looking at his daughter who now had a soft snoring sound.

"Jeez this kid," muttered Edward shaking his head. He also lifted the body of Rachel ala bridal style and took her to Rachel's room in white.

"Hopefully you will meet a man who is able to make your father calm when you are by his side" Edward said after putting Rachel's body slowly on the bed and then peeking at her forehead.

One week later

Darold's condition is not getting better, he even seems to be getting more frequent headaches.

"Doctor, what happened to daddy?" calvin asked the doctor who had just checked on Darold.

"After we had a CT scan, there was a brain hemorrhage in Mr. Darold's head. This bleeding occurs suddenly in the brain tissue due to rupture of blood vessels that may be caused by structural weakness of the blood vessel wall" explains the doctor.

"Then what should we do Doc? Please save my daddy" asked Calvin with a face that looked so anxious.

"Given that Mr. Darold's brain hemorrhage was severe enough and had already pressured his brain, then we will take the surgery step. This brain hemorrhage surgery is done to decompose blood that blocks and presses the brain" said the doctor.

"Will daddy heal after that surgery?" ask Calvin.

"We are doctors, we can only do our best, about the end result we just pray," he said.

Calvin bowed lethargic. He was very worried about his father's condition. Even now he was just pacing around alone outside Darold's room. He clearly knows, at the age of his father who is increasingly spelled out at dusk, taking surgery certainly has a big risk. However, if left alone, Darold will be tormented and can return to a coma, or worse, Darold could have died.

"Calvin, what's wrong? How was the doctor's examination?" rossa asked who was going out to look for Calvin but instead found her son was pacing in front of the room.

"Mom, daddy,"

"Yes, what's wrong with your daddy?"

"Daddy has a brain hemorrhage again, and must be operated immediately,"

Rossa was surprised to hear his son's words. "Calvin, calm down." said Rossa with a sad face looking at her son who was so frustrated.

"The doctor must have considered all the possibilities so that he took the surgery," said Rossa again trying to calm Calvin.

"We just pray, may the operation be smooth, and your daddy be healed," said Rossa then embraced Calvin.

A few hours passed, and now it was time for Darold to be taken to the operating room.

"Suster, before I get there, please let me have a one-on-one conversation with my son" Darold pinta, made the two sisters who were about to take him nod and called out to Calvin who was outside the room.

Shortly thereafter, Calvin entered the room. "Daddy?"

"Calvin come here, someone wants daddy to say."

"Why not wait until the daddy surgery is over, so that the daddy has no trouble talking while enduring the pain in the daddy's head."

"It's important, that in the surgery later it's daddy's head, daddy's afraid they're erasing daddy's memory of what daddy wants to tell you," janda Darold smiled slightly but only briefly because of his aching head.

"Dad, please don't joke like that" Calvin said.

"Calvin, daddy wants to make sure of something, please answer honestly," Darold said.

"What is dad?"

"Do you really love Rachelia Edward?"

Calvin was silent for a moment, only to recall that Darold had come to his senses after he had told him the secret.

"I'm sorry Calvin dad,"

"Daddy doesn't need your apology, daddy just wants you to answer my honest daddy question,"

"Yes dad, Calvin loves her," Calvin replied at last, looking down in lethargy.

"Since when?"

"Since he was still using the name Michel,"

"Where is he now?"

"Calvin doesn't know where he is now,"

"Why don't you look for him? You stupid kid!" cetus Darold's.

Hearing Darold's words, Calvin immediately raised his face to look at his father's bead, "A-what does daddy mean?"

"If you love him, you should look for him and pursue his love, don't be a daddy-like person blinded by prestige and ultimately regretted it later in life" Darold said.

"Didn't that time daddy keep me close to him because he's got daddy caught?"

"That was when daddy's heart was still hard as a stone, but since he fell into a coma, for some reason daddy's heart seemed to soften," said Darold then turned his face because he did not want to be seen by Calvin in a state of teary eyes.

Coma for 3 years made Darold realize his mistake, added Calvin who every day invited him to speak with positive talks.

Calvin fell silent after hearing Darold's words. There was a sense of happiness in his heart right now that he could not describe in words.

"Dad, thank you very much" said Calvin, then hugged Darold's body.

"Oh yeah, where's your mommy?"

"Mommy's outside, what does Calvin want to call it?"

"There's no need, just say my apology to him for all my wrongdoings all along."

"Why daddy didn't tell mommy straight away,"

"Shut up, and do your daddy's orders," said Darold made Calvin giggle at the wrong face of his father's behavior.

"Oh yes, one more thing, if you meet Rachel later, please sincerely apologize to her" Darold said.

"Dad, get well soon, and tell Rachel everything straight," said Calvin, but Darold no longer responded because of the pain in his head that made him unconscious.

"Daddy?"
