CHAPTER 48 Mission Successfully!

The night is getting late, but some people seem to be still busy with their mission. Even until 03:00 in the morning, Rachel and Calvin are still awake on the bike.

After a long journey of 40 minutes, now they arrive at the dock, Rena and some of her colleagues have apparently been waiting for Rachel's arrival since.

“Rachel” calls Rena in a slightly quiet voice while approaching Rachel and Calvin who are still on the bike.

“Rena?” rachel said, getting off the bike with Calvin. “How? You found Damon?” continues asking.

“Yes, Damon was on that ship, we saw him talking to someone,” Rena replied as she pointed towards a ship.

Rachel nodded. “Do you have a plan, Rena?” ask Rachel.

“Yes, we will secretly board the ship disguised as another passenger, and we will ambush her when she is off guard,” Rena replied.

“Did Damon not have armed bodyguards? I suspect they are in hiding, while monitoring Damon,” Rachel said.

“True, it could have happened, that's why we are always on standby with our weapons. Oh yeah, Rachel, Calvin, can you use a gun?” ask Rena.

“Yes I can,” replied Rachel and Calvin simultaneously. “Can civilians like us use it?” rachel asked.

“Of course you can use it in a state of urgency for self-defense, but do not kill, you understand what I mean right?” ask Rena.

“I understand,” replied Rachel.

They begin to execute their plans, while Rachel and Calvin stay behind to monitor if Damon escapes from the ship.

A few minutes passed now, the atmosphere of the ship still looks calm, but in the next minute began to hear the sound of gunfire inside the ship. Apparently, Damon had indeed prepared his men with full weapons to protect him.

Moments later, Damon is currently surrounded by 3 of his men who are ready to shoot if anyone threatens. They got off the ship quickly.

“Calvin, stay here and take care of me, I'll be there against them,” Rachel said.

“But Ra...” Calvin did not continue his words as Rachel had left without waiting for a response from Calvin.

With stealth, Rachel approaches them to prevent them if only they would escape to another ship. And sure enough, Damon was now about to board another ship but was unsuccessful when Rena shot one of his men in the arm. Shooting again occurred between 2 of Damon's men with Rena and his team.

When Rena's son and his team are busy shooting with Damon's men, Damon takes advantage of the situation by trying to run to another place, but he does not know that the action was monitored by Rachel. Damon continued to run away, even now he was almost out of the dock area, but his steps stopped when Rachel intercepted him from the front.

“Sorry Mr. Damon, you better turn yourself in to the police,” Rachel said.

“Here you are Rachel, move aside from you, don't block my way,” Damon then push Rachel until she is a little shrewd but Calvin immediately comes to hold her body.

“So you brought my daddy into this underground world?” cetus Calvin stared at Damon.

“You're a child of Darold who doesn't want to join us in the underground worldwell,” Damon said making Rachel surprised while looking at Calvin. “I never forced your father, I only offered him an advantage, he was too crazy treasure to follow me,” Damon continued.

Calvin's jaw immediately hardened with both hands now firmly clenched. Calvin, who now began to get carried away with emotions after hearing Damon's words about his father, was about to throw his punch, but Rachel immediately held back her arm while looking at Calvin and shook her head.

“Don't do that, let Rena do her job,” said Rachel softly, making Calvin's gaze start to wistfully, slowly his fist squeezed.

Shortly after, Rena came with her partner. “Catch him!” rena's orders to her friend. Damon could not move anymore, he could only surrender when his hands were in handcuffs.

“Mission succeeded! Thank you for your help,” muttered Rena then shook the hands of Rachel and Calvin.

 

 

“How is your father?” rachel asked to open the conversation.

“He's in a coma,” Calvin answered briefly.

“I'm sorry for that, I hope your father can recover soon,” said Rachel honestly. 

Shortly after, Calvin's phone rang, causing Calvin to pull over his motor first to pick up the phone.

“Halo, what's up Boy?” calvin asked Boy who was currently looking after his father.

“Come here soon, your daddy is critical,” exclaimed Boy in a worried-sounding voice.

“What?” peekik Calvin then immediately forwarded his motorbike towards the hospital.

“What's Calvin?” asked Rachel who was surprised because the road to her house was now passed by Calvin just like that.

“Calvin?” rachel repeated her name because Calvin did not respond to her, but his efforts were futile, Calvin still did not respond to her.

Calvin's motor speed split the still not crowded road, until finally they arrived at a hospital. Rachel hesitates to enter the hospital, but seeing Calvin run away in a hurry makes her curious so she runs a little further behind Calvin.

Calvin now arrives in front of a VIP room where his father is being cared for. Rossa and Boy have been waiting for him since.

"What happened to daddy?" calvin asked with a worried face.

"The condition is critical, son, is currently being handled by a doctor" Rossa replied.

Hearing that, Calvin sat down while pulling his own hair feeling frustrated.

Rachel who saw Calvin's anger could only pray from afar, she was about to turn around to go home, but suddenly the sound of the door of the room opening made her step stop.

"How's my daddy's condition doctor? She's okay, right?" calvin frowned at the doctor who had just walked out of the room with several nurses.

"Sir Darold was critical, but thank God he is much better now" replied the doctor and left.

Calvin who got the news immediately felt relieved, his heart was overwhelmed with fear when he heard the news of the father critically, he was afraid he could not meet his father again.

As a child who grew up in the care of a father, made Calvin so fond of Darold, and he could not deny that even though many times he was disappointed by his father's 'cruel' actions to others, including lying to her and separating her from her mother. Darold is cruel when dealing with other people outside, but his cruel attitude is never brought home to his son, even a little skin Calvin never hit by Darold.

While Rachel, who had been monitoring them from afar, began to understand what was happening, she was inexplicably grateful to learn that Darold had come out of his critical period. He slowly turned around, then left the hospital without Calvin's knowledge.

Calvin who had just realized about Rachel immediately looked in all directions looking for the figure of the beautiful woman, but he never found.

"You looking for someone Calvin?" ask Rossa who saw Calvin's gurgle.

"Yes mom, I was here with Rachel after catching Damon, but I forgot about her for thinking too much about daddy since then" replied Calvin.

"Find him, maybe he's still around here" exclaimed Rossa, making Calvin nod and run to find Rachel.

But unfortunately, even out of the hospital Calvin did not find the girl.

"Maybe he's home, I'm sorry I didn't take you home and I'll see you, Rachel," she said, then returned to the hospital. She doesn't know when she'll see Rachel.

"Hopefully one day we may meet again, in a state where there is no more wall to stand in our way" Calvin said.
