Eps. 34 Failed to Meet

The next day at the office, Niky sat in his chair staring blankly at his laptop screen. He was still reminded of the Dream Fantasy rides that turned out to belong to Wardana.

“It turns out that Wardana can develop his business out of town as my father left..” Inner Niky with a hateful gaze.

“I have to successfully work on this Wonderland project to tackle the bastard man expanding his business area.” he muttered again who felt his body was hot and his blood was boiling just by remembering his name.

Joey who was next to Niky noticed the man from time to time increasingly looking serious, even now more serious than he was.

“Niky... what do you think ?” ask Joey to the guy.

Niky turned and looked at Joey.

“I'm thinking about my job Joey.. I haven't managed to find investors for the Wonderland.” project Niky replied explaining what he had in mind to his co-workers.

“The Wonderland project is hard, you shouldn't have accepted it as your first assignment...” said Joey who felt sorry for Niky who looked depressed with the heavy workload he was currently in charge.

“I know it... but it never hurts me to try it before giving up.” Niky said to Joey with a small smile and then returned to staring at the laptop screen after nothing they discussed anymore.

It looks like Niky reopened the report he has made and revised in some parts after seeing the Fantasy Dream ride yesterday. He changed the concept and re-segmented the Wonderland Wahana project in hopes of rivaling Fantasy Dream.

Moments later after finishing revising his report he re-opened the data of investors in the previous Wonderland project.

“Huft... It looks like it will be the same reaction of other investors if I have not got one investor. That means I have to make Aurora group want to invest in this project whatever the way.” inner Niky while exhaling breath that feels heavy.

The man seemed to sit quietly while holding a pen to support his head.

“I have to find a way for Aurora group to invest in this project...but what is ??” his mind again while thinking hard to find a solution to his problem.

Niky seemed brain-twisting and there was no word to give up on him even though he had not found the right solution to his problem.

“I should follow up Aurora Group first until I find a way out.” Niky muttered after finding a dead end.

He opened his bag and looked for Aurora Group business cards that he had taken when he first went there.

“This is it...” said Niky softly when he managed to find a business card from his bag and put it on the table.

The man saw the phone on his desk and picked it up and put it back.

“I must not hesitate I should try it..” he said encouraging himself. Niky then picked up the phone in front of him and dialed the Aurora Group number and a few moments later the phone was connected.

“Halo Aurora Group company, can anyone help ?” Niky looked after the phone hooked up and his hands trembled slightly.

“Ya I'm Niky from Atmaja Group.. Can I connect to Sisca's mother ?” reply Niky on the phone.

“Good...please wait a minute.” replied the clerk on the phone and connected the phone to Sisca.

“tut-tut-tut...” The phone starts connecting to Sisca and Niky tries to regulate his emotions to stay calm.

“Halo...” says Sisca on the phone.

“Nona Sisca today is there any time.. I want to meet you for a while.” replied Niky where the phone is.

“Oh Niky.. Sorry today I still have a meeting maybe tomorrow when my schedule is empty you can meet me.” Sisca replied from the phone.

“Alright then miss Sisca thank you. See you tomorrow.” Niky replied from the phone and then ended the call after nothing was talked about anymore.

“You still don't give up either apparently.. indeed young people are more excited than people who are more senior.” muttered Sisca then looked back at the pile of documents on her desk and put her signature there.

“Alright I think I should take advantage of the opportunity I get tomorrow. I can't waste it.” said Niky Lirih who looked excited again and smiled after Sisca agreed to meet with him tomorrow.

“tak Niky flicked his fingers back on the keyboard and typed in a new proposal to show Sisca.

The next day, it was still early in the morning after being absent from Niky's office to get out of the room and drive his white maserati to Aurora Group.

Arriving there he sat waiting on the chair after the receptionist asked him to wait a while.

“tick... tack...” hours continued to toll and did not feel it had been three hours he waited in the company lobby but the woman he was waiting for did not come out or see him.

“How is this... why hasn't the woman met me either..?” niky's mind was getting restless and tired of waiting there.

“Thirty minutes more.. after that I will leave here because it is time to rest.” muttered Niky who felt patient and repeatedly stared at the wall clock in the company.

Thirty minutes later Niky decided to get out of there. He immediately slid his white maserati and slid down the streets in annoyance.

“tap... tap Sisca looked out and down the stairs leading to the lobby. But there was no Niky waiting for him.

“Where are the guests who have an appointment to meet me?” said Sisca approached the reception officer and asked him.

“Sorry bu Sisca.. Guests waiting for Mom just came out.” replied the receptionist to the woman.

Sisca quickly walks out of the company to look for Niky, but she goes back inside again after not finding the man anywhere.

The next day Niky tries to come to Aurora Group to meet Sisca, but again he fails to meet the woman.

Niky had been trying to see Sisca for a week, but he never once saw her out of her room or called her.

Until one day on holiday Niky did not return home to gather with his family, but he remained in the city where he worked because he felt tired. He decided to go to the park there and then he went home.

“tap... tap Niky walked into a park in the city to breathe fresh air wearing casual clothes and glasses and hats as accessories.

After a long walk and circling the park, he sat on a chair near the fountain pool while drinking a bottle of mineral water he held to replace the sweat that poured out on his body.

From a distance there was a woman who ran after her poodle dog. The dog ran and stopped around where Niky was sitting.

“Pearl.... wait !” shouted a woman who seemed to have difficulty running because she was wearing high-heels chasing her dog.

Niky felt someone playing around his feet and felt a soft feather sweep over his legs.

“Whose dog is this ?” he muttered when he saw his feet and there was a poodle there. He picked up the dog and took it back to the chair waiting for the owner to come looking for it.

“Ah... Pearl... are you there..?” said the woman when she found her poodle and was with a man.

Seeing a woman who came to him and saw the dog he held Niky was standing.

“You...” said Niky surprised to see the woman standing in front of him was Sisca. Niky took off his glasses and handed him the poodle he held. And Sisca looked surprised when she saw the man who managed to find his dog turned out to be Niky.
