Eps. 3 Faded Smiles

Twenty minutes later Niky arrived at the airport. He got out of the car with a suitcase.

“I will miss this place..” murmured back to look back and stopped briefly staring around then walked back while dragging his luggage with a heavy heart.

Ten minutes later Niky was on the plane. His mind was still chaotic and chaotic unable to think clearly after returning to the memory of what his father had said before. He also chose to close his eyes for a moment so that his mind was not complicated.

The next two hours the man woke up and stared at the watch in his hand which showed at 01:00 in the morning.

The next four hours Niky arrived at the airport in Indonesia. He was the last passenger to get off the plane after other passengers disembarked earlier than him.

The man dragged some of his luggage out of the airport. He looked around which still looked a little dark and spread his gaze around looking for someone.

“Kakk... Brother Niky here... !!” shouted a girl in her 18s calling out to her from a distance while waving at her.

“Fiona.. !” niky shouted back at his sister as he walked towards the exit where his sister was.

“Kakak.. I miss you very much.” said the girl then hugged her brother whom she had not seen for a long time. Meanwhile, Niky hugged his sister because he also felt missed her.

“How are the pictures of father and others ?” asked Niky after taking off his sister's hug.

“Huft... about it later I will tell you when I get home. Now let's go home first, sister.” reply the girl while helping her brother bring in some of his luggage to the car.

“Let me drive.” said Niky asking his sister to move seats. Fiona immediately got down again from the car and moved to the next seat. Niky rides after Fiona is already sitting next to him.

Niky takes over the wheel and the car slides from the airport to his house.

Along the way, the man saw the streets on his left and right as much had changed and there were also many new buildings that he had never seen.

“Now the area is getting crowded huh..” he said while looking at his brother who looks sad. Fiona simply nodded and smiled looking at her brother.

“Fiona how is your school, do you also want to continue your studies to Australia or to America after this ?” he stopped at a red light.

“For now it is impossible because the financial condition of the father is not fit.” replied the girl explained to her brother with a sad look.

“Tell me what really happened ?” ask Niky back who is increasingly confused because someone wants to tell him.

“We have arrived..” said Niky turn off the car engine and get out of the car with Fiona.

Hearing the sound of a car entering the house, a boy came out of the house and approached the two of them.

“Sister Niky and sister Fiona are back.” said the 15-year-old boy approached the two of them.

“Where is father and mother ?” niky asked his sister while rubbing Devan's hair.

“There is inside sis...” answers which immediately looks moody after hearing the question.

Devan then pulls Niky's hand and invites him inside.

“Dad... mother... I'm home.. !” niky shouted as he entered the house. But the atmosphere of the house looks quiet and quiet.

“Niky... You're home, son ?” asked her mother after waking up and hugged her directly.

Her mother wiped her tears and stood up and took her out of the room after seeing her husband who was still asleep.

Niky sits next to his mother and waits for a story from her. The mother looked back to shed her tears as she was about to start telling stories.
