Amara walks casually across a row of medical housing services at the hospital where she works while enjoying the fresh morning air.
Amara has not been too familiar yet at work, considering only a week ago he moved here. He also did not know the neighbors too much. Maybe just a few names that he had memorized out of his head.
That afternoon at the hospital.
The sound of ambulance sirens entering the hospital lobby spontaneously created the panic of the medical personnel on duty today.
The ambulance was carrying a single man who was injured in a severe head wound that was drenched in blood.
As soon as the ambulance stopped, the male nurses immediately prepared a push gurney and deftly moved the limp body.
Decitan wheels that collide with the floor coloring the hospital corridor. The sound of a step was accompanied when the nurses ran because they did not want to waste time pushing the gurney towards the IGD room to perform first aid measures.
Doctors and nurses are so good at their jobs. They are trained for this, so that when needed, each can put themselves in charge.
Every time the car siren sounds, it begins to bustle in the IGD room as medics work hand in hand to start the rescue action.
Touching blood has become an everyday food. Many accident patients who proceed to the operating table. They often even see patients passing through death saccharatul in plain sight.
"The romance quickly clears the wound on the patient's head!" Doctor Khanza orders Amara who is already sterile.
"Good Doc." Amara replied firmly, then deftly started her task very carefully.
While cleaning the blood, Amara occasionally stared at the face of the patient who looked still conscious. He was severely injured but still survived with his consciousness.
Stopping the activity, Amara then shifted closer to the face of his patient. "Sir, can you hear me?" her tanyanya softly with a tone full of worry. But no, there is no answer.
"He's still conscious?" doctor Khanza asked as he walked closer.
"Yes Doc, but he didn't answer my question. He also just kept quiet like he didn't feel any pain."
"She will be transferred to the operating room as soon as her preparations are complete." After saying that, Doctor Khanza left Amara.
Amara swept a gauze soaked with alcohol water on the patient's temples. Although drenched in blood, but he can be sure if the age of the patient is still young.
Amara was shocked as the man grabbed her hand and grasped it very tightly. He rounded his eyes in shock. Attempting to pull and release his hand was futile. "Sir, is there anything you want to say?" Amara deliberately asked, maybe the patient could still be invited to communicate. But the man refused to open his mouth.
Simultaneously, Doctor Khanza appeared with other nurses to prepare for the transfer of patients to the operating room.
"Mara, let go of your hand" doctor Khanza ordered. His eyes looked at the hands of Amara and the patient who were linked to each other. "You're interrupting our work."
Amara nodded quickly. "But it's not me holding it Doc. The doctor saw, "Amara showed me her hand that was hard to take off. "He who won't take my hand off."
Doctor Khanza observed the patient with a wrinkled forehead. He then looked at the medics one by one with a confused face. "What's wrong with him?"
Everyone in the room shook their heads. No one can give an answer.
"Doctor, it looks like there's something she wants to say" Amara said breaking the silence until everyone turned their eyes to her full of question marks. Immediately Amara seemed clumsy to be the center of attention. He laughed awkwardly and said, "What I see is that, Doc."
Doctor Khanza sighed softly, then returned the view on the patient's body. "Quick move him. We need to get surgery done immediately." Doctor Khanza said firmly give orders.
"But Doc, how am I?" tanya Amara could not cover the nervousness.
"How else, you should come to the operating room if he won't let go of your hand." Doctor Khanza answered lightly as he passed away ahead.
Amara had no other choice. He immediately nodded obediently as he said, "Okay, Doctor."
Finally, the operation was successful in making the team of doctors who worked could breathe freely. Including Amara. But this man had to be moved to the hospital intensively considering his condition is not so good.
Staring at the two hands that were still in chains, Doctor Khanza who put two hands in the pocket of the white suit could only sigh while shaking his head. "What's wrong with you guys?"
"Nothing, Doctor. I've even seen it now,"
"Then how could he hold your hand like that?"
"Where do I know ,,," replied Amara half annoyed, her face looking very tired. "Maybe Doctor Khanza can help?"
"good. There's no harm in trying again, is there." Doctor Khanza tried to separate the hands of the two, but it was not easy to make him give up. Although some male paramedics also helped, there were no results either. Instead, Amara's hand became more painful because it was too forced.
"You really don't know him? From the identity card found, this patient is named Dimas." Doctor Khanza is still trying to make sure. Amara who really does not know can only shake weakly.
The atmosphere returned to silence with all pairs of eyes fixed on the hand.
"Did his family know he had an accident?" amara asked everyone in the room. "Why hasn't there been any family coming?"
"When contacted, his parents said he was abroad. They're putting their son in on us." Doctor Haris who had been silent since then now opened his voice to give an answer.
"Are there no other family members?"
"Some," replied Dr. Haris, raising her shoulders. The young, medium-statured doctor stepped closer to the bed and then observed the patient. He was silent for a moment, then looked at Amara. "Mara, why don't you just try talking in her ear. Who knows if he can hear and let go of your hand." Proposition later.
Everyone looked at each other before then smiling widely, and simultaneously staring at Amara demandingly.
Again Amara suddenly clumsy when the center of attention. As a new person, what else can he do other than do whatever he is told, anyway for his benefit as well. "Ah yes, yes.why not try it, right?"
Amara then bent down to bring her lips closer to the patient's ear. "Mr Dimas, please rest comfortably, yes. Mr. Dimas need not worry, all of us here will take good care of you. Every day I come to visit you. So please, let go of my hand now."
Everyone looks at each other when the patient's body doesn't react. Even the hand was getting stronger gripping Amara's fingers.
The team of doctors who performed the operation felt something strange about this patient. How could the person who was still affected on the dope reaction be grasping that strong.
"Haha! Like not making sodara-sodara!" Haris's laughter boomed in the silence. "It looks like you're too slow when you whisper it. Try to talk louder. Or if it is necessary to shout loudly," his message with irritated teeth gritted.
"Hey, don't be so reckless!" sahut doctor Khanza. "I don't think yelling is an effective way. He's new to surgery, it could interfere with his recovery process. Wouldn't it be better to whisper warm words to her? Maybe she thinks Amara is her lover."
Amara suddenly rounded her eyes of disbelief. "Whispering friendly Doctor? Me?" he asked while pointing to himself.
"My yes time. Yes you are, you are!" Doctor Haris said lightly. "That is your hand, Amara." The white man looked at Amara while narrowing his eyes. "Or don't you really want to stay here ,,,?" the accusation is suspicious.
"Doctor don't ngaco, yeah! Of course, no!" Amara said upset, while the doctor Haris actually laughed amusedly.
Doctor Khanza glanced at the clock on his wrist, then looked back at Amara. "It's getting late, Amara. Don't we need to take a quick break and save some energy for tomorrow? Come on, do whatever you can to get away from him."
"But, what should I say, Doctor?"
"Take it that you are seducing your lover" replied Doctor Khanza lightly.
But the problem is that I never had sex with the doctor's man, I was veiled, inner Amara. He was still silent and seemed to think. One by one the doctors and friends who are still waiting for a decision from him. Their faces look very tired after struggling with this daily routine.
Amara sighed softly. Although initially he seemed hesitant, but finally he steadily bent again and brought his lips closer to the patient's ear.
