Dimas immediately threw his body onto the sofa as soon as he got home that afternoon. He let out a tired breath before then taking off the suit and loosening the tie that felt stifling his neck.
Amara who was arranging dishes at the dining table and knew the arrival of Dimas immediately rushed to approach. However, when he reached the doorway that connects directly between the dining room and the living room, he suddenly hesitated and chose to stop there.
From where she stood, Amara could clearly capture how tired Dimas' face looked. The man leaned his head, while his eyes closed tightly.
Seeing that made Amara confused what to do. Willing to approach and pay attention as usual, but he doubted Dimas would accept it with a warm attitude as usual anyway. However, even if he acts ignorant and pretends not to care, he will feel tormented to see the man distraught alone.
Amara took a deep breath to neutralize the feeling. He weighed in for a moment, before then deciding to actually approach Dimas. Stupid with what the man's response will be like, what matters is that he has tried, right?
"Mas, can I make you some coffee?" asked Amara as soon as her position was close to Dimas. Now he stood three steps away, and was staring at Dimas who opened his eyes as soon as he heard his voice.
"Can, deh. The usual, yes."
Amara nodded, then rushed to the kitchen. While Dimas who is now alone again closed his eyes and just opened when Amara came and put a coffee cup with a jar containing snacks in front of him.
"This is the coffee, Mas. There are potato chips for snacks as well. Or maybe Mas Dimas wants me to make some popcorn?" tanya Amara offers.
Dimas shook his head while changing his sitting position. "No, Mar. That's enough, though."
"Okay." Amara nodded in understanding. He was silent for a moment. Looking at the silent Dimas while playing his phone, he thought the man did not need his whereabouts anymore. It was clear that he decided to leave rather than remain there but was not considered to exist.
"Mar, where are you going?"
Amara stopped when she heard Dimas calling her.
"You go to the kitchen, Mas. Wash the dishes," she replied honestly with her index finger pointing towards the kitchen.
"Here first, dong .. my temenin." Dimas hit the empty sofa softly beside him, hinting for Amara to take it on immediately.
Amara is flabbergasted. Dimas' treatment towards him this time was completely unexpected. He had thought Dimas would be angry because he was still carried away by the incident. However, in fact, the man actually whined for company. But even so, Amara remained obedient by following the wishes of Dimas with a sincere and happy feeling.
Dimas noticed Amara's movements ranging from the girl walking closer, sitting next to him to how his sudden awkward attitude changes like never before. A smile was drawn on Dimas' lips as he floated a question sentence.
"Well, is it so stiff?"
"Huh?" Amara is flabbergasted. He looked at Dimas with a plain face and slightly agape lips. However, seeing how Dimas' relaxed expression while smiling at him made him inevitably smile while shaking his head. "No pa-pa, I'm kok."
"Related?"
"Hu'um." Amara nodded convincingly.
"Gue thought you were still thinking about it," guessed Dimas who was immediately asserted by Amara.
"Hehe, yes. But a little, anyway. I'm afraid Mas Dimas is frustrated."
Dimas suddenly heard that. He had thought that Amara would be angry because he was accused of being reckless. But the girl was actually worried about him.
"Lo's there, Mar," Dimas said in a laugh. "Lo's afraid I'm gonna hang myself, heum?"
"Ih, what the hell is Dimas? Yes not as much as it is, kali," denied Amara while turning the eyeball.
"Yes, just one time." Dimas chimed in with a relaxed tone and a fluffy smile. However, Amara knew that the man was mocking her.
Not intending to chimed in, Amara chose silence to avoid debate.
for s5aat, the atmosphere of the middle room was quiet when the couple were both silent. Still with awkward expressions, Dimas and Amara were both thinking about the right topic of conversation to melt the atmosphere.
"Mar, Juan how are you?"
"Ohuk!" Amara who was sipping coffee suddenly coughed because she heard the name Juan Dimas said. He hurriedly put down his cup, then patted his chest hoping to make his throat relieved.
Dimas who saw Amara feeling tormented moved quickly to pat the girl on the back to give help. Frowning, he spoke in a reminiscent tone.
"If drink carefully, times Mar .... Gosah hastily chased by ghosts. I am worried that someone will ask for it too. I have my own coffee, too."
"Who's in a hurry, anyway? His name is also choking. It's not intentional."
Dimas again chuckled to see Amara seem to grunt annoyed when responding to his words. Though his intention was only joking to melt the atmosphere, uh it turns out Amara was even offended. Just hurry Dimas clarified what he meant.
"Yes, yes, I understand. Gosah got angry too, kali. I'm just Juan. I haven't hurt much about him in a long time. He's all right, isn't he?"
Amara was silent as she stared at Dimas's face. The man was also looking at her expectantly, as if looking forward to her answer. Just hurry Amara cleared his throat, pretending to cough while throwing a look in the other direction to avoid being met with Dimas.
"Yes. He's doing fine." In a slow tone Amara answered Dimas's question. The girl also pretended to be busy patting her chest, acting like she was trying to make her throat comfortable which was tormented by choking earlier.
Dimas who was sitting next to him could only frown at the unusual attitude of his wife. However, he chose to ignore it and believe it just like that. He focused instead on his wife's discomfort.
Surprised, Amara tiptoed and turned to Dimas as she felt a touch. Sure enough, apparently the man's hand rubbed his back full of tenderness.
Amara was astonished at the attentive attitude Dimas showed. His heart was pounding and almost brought a feeling. Just hurry up to dispel this unnatural feeling by shifting the body a little away and trying to behave normally.
"I'm not pa-pa, Mom. Oh yes, Ma'am Naura how. Is he still angry with you?" Amara changed the subject by asking Naura. Not just pleasantries, but he really wanted to know about the girl.
Removing his hand from Amara's back, Dimas smiled happily.
"Thank God he's not angry after I give you understanding, Mar."
"Alhamdulillah, I'm with you, Mas." Amara smiled happily without making up.
"Thank you, Mar. I explained at length to him, let him understand. Love can be love, but don't be blind. We're not married yet, so we shouldn't be living. As long as you know, Mar, before Mama came we also discussed this problem, time. But that's it, Naura is stiff. He immediately misunderstood my good intentions. There's also a good thing Mama came, so I don't have to bother thinking about the idea to remove Naura from here for the common good."
Amara nodded her head in understanding of Dimas' words. At least he did not intend to come to talk, just position himself as a listener.
"But yes, Mar. Because of this my relationship with Mama so stiffened. Mama's gonna apologize to me, right?"
Smiling softly, Amara involuntarily moved hand rubbing the back of the hand Dimas intended to give support.
"Mama is a good mother. He must have apologized as long as Mas Dimas himself wanted to apologize. Mas Dimas is lucky to still have a complete parent and such attention. What am I the orphan, Mom."
Dimas was flabbergasted to hear Amara's words. The girl put her hands together on her thighs, then reviewed the smile before finally lowering her head. Dimas knew, it was not a happy smile, but rather a bitter smile that implied a wound.
Ah, suddenly Dimas felt pity. At least he had no intention of reminding Amara of his old wounds. Because the girl was so considerate, she became out of control and poured out her feelings.
"Mar ...." Dimas held Amara's hand. "Sorry, yes. I made you sad. Swear, I didn't intentionally," he said in a regretful tone.
"No pa-pa, Mom. I don't feel sad. I just remember their attention. It's just a memory I have, so as much as I can never forget. And to you, cherish them while there is still yes. Don't be as sorry as I am now."
Dimas only fell silent in response to Amara's words. He looked at the smiling girl carefully, then threw his face away while snoring softly.
"If Naura's attitude is the same as that of lo gini, Mar. I'm sure you won't mind marrying Naura" she complained later.
"That means it's Mas Dimas' job to guide Mbak Naura until Mama wants to accept. If it really is love, Mas Dimas must accept him as he is and try to improve his bad attitude."
"But the thing is Naura is a hard person to tell, Mar. It's hard anyway. Naura is ambitious. He can do anything to get what he wants. Just so you know, as long as I'm dating him, Naura has already trashed all the girls who tried to get me."
"Well! Rounded out–" Amara did not dare to continue his words. He only closed his mouth slightly agape using the palm of his hand, while his eyes were round when he thought of something.
As if knowing what Amara was currently thinking, Dimas hurriedly explained in order to kill the wild mind of his wife.
"Hey, think of the distance. I mean, by being cleared, that Naura threatened all those girls to stay away from me. Don't misunderstand me, yeah. He's never done more than that, just relax."
Amara sumpat sighed in relief. "Ow, Mum, Mum. I thought I was .. hehehe, sorry." Amara grinned while pointing two fingers.
"She's a reckless girl. But what else, the man I love." Dimas poked his lips while staring at Amara. While the girl could only smile bitterly in response.
The worst heartbreak I experience is when the person I love actually says to love others in plain sight. Moreover, he was legally a husband. Not just as a girlfriend, but just as a friend. And the deepest heartache I think is when it comes to pretending to be okay while honestly this heart is fragile.
"Mar, I'm gonna take a shower. It's this hot body. Oh yes, thanks for understanding you all this time." Dimas patted Amara's shoulder slowly, which immediately became the antidote for the girl's heart.
"Together, my mother."
Dimas who had risen suddenly stopped his steps when he remembered something. He turned around and looked at Amara, who was looking at him at the moment, too, but she raised her eyebrows in exchange for a question.
"How's your room?"
"Yes it's still locked. Kan Mama deliberately brought home the key," answered Amara honestly, then clenched her lips and puffed her cheeks.
Amel did deliberately do that after moving all of Amara's belongings to Dimas' room. He did it himself as if he was not tired.
Dimas could only smile wryly aware of the mother's absurd attitude. Because he felt bad, he sat back down and apologized to Amara completely from the heart.
"I'm sorry for my attitude all this time, Mar. I know, you must be uncomfortable."
Amara just smiled stiffly in response. If the man knew if he was happy to be his mother's daughter-in-law ....
"Gini aja's. Let you sleep in my room, while I sleep outside."
"Mas, can't do that, dong. Mas Dimas was expelled from his own room! I slept on the couch in front of the TV, yeah. I like it."
"No, no! Can't do that. Women should sleep in the room, not outside. Where do I take me as a man if you just sleep outside! Don't argue!" said Dimas who saw Amara.
Inevitably Amara suddenly locked his mouth tightly. Free things like this should also be confused.
"Mas Dimas doesn't need to sleep outside, huh. I forgot I'd have night duty in a minute. So for the next week, I'm gonna sleep in the hospital."
"Huh?" Dimas' mouth involuntarily gaped slightly. Somehow, hearing Amara's confession earlier he became unwilling.
