"Dim what's up? Why are you panicking?" Baskoro asked as he approached. He stared in wonder at his best friend who was still glued with a fixed view on the screen of his phone. Looks like Naura cut off their phone connection.
In Baskoro's heart rattled in wonder. The girl was endlessly disturbing the calmness of the friend. He can be sure if Naura is back to throwing a tantrum. Clearly, he heard for himself how Dimas had just cursed.
"Mara, Bas–" Dimas exhaled heavily and then rubbed his face rough. It was as if he could no longer continue his words.
Seeing Dimas look heavy stress makes Baskoro more curious. He moved closer to Dimas and rubbed the man's back slowly as a form of attention.
"Take it easy, Dim. The story is slow," he said soothingly. But Dimas shook his head with an attitude that was difficult to explain. The man really looked panicked.
Baskoro did not want to further damage the mood of his best friend by continuing to urge him. He chose silence, giving Dimas time to think clearly in an emergency.
"Gue has to save Amara now before it's too late, Bas." Dimas said after a while trying to calm down. He looked seriously at Baskoro and spoke steadily.
Baskoro did not have time to answer, he had moved to take the keys of his car lying on the table.
Baskoro watched Dimas' movements in astonishment, then a moment later he exclaimed at Dimas after realizing something.
"Eh, Dim, wait! How am I going?"
"Lo continue all our work, Bas. Sorry, I believe everything is the same." Dimas who had gone a few steps took the time to answer.
"And I just let you fight alone, did you?" Baskoro was silent for a moment to observe Dimas' expression, then resumed his speech in an annoyed tone. "What kind of "friend am I! No, Dim. I have to go wherever you go."
Without waiting for Dimas' approval, Baskoro hurriedly prepared himself. Closed up and grabbed his laptop and rushed after Dimas.
Dimas who initially looks not calm now looks a little sparkling hearing the speech of his best friend.
"Thanks, Car. Lo emang my best friend," he said happy to mix haru.
"Friends are that, Dim," Baskoro replied as he patted Dimas on the shoulder.
Baskoro then took over the wheel of Dimas and drove the car at a fast speed. The journey that should take approximately two hours is now only taken for one and a half hours.
Previously, Baskoro had asked his case when he was on his way.
"From the video I saw, Amara was in the middle of a riot, Bus. I don't know how it happened to the point that Amara could be there" Dimas replied with an uneasy mind.
"the mess? How can? Not that Amara's at the charity event at the hospital where she works, huh?"
"Yes. Amara was on the show. But I just sent Amara to see there's a big demo around there!" Dimas exhaled a rough breath and then threw his face towards the window. Then he muttered too. "Gue was sure, Naura designed it all for Amara."
"Patience, Dim. Amara is a smart woman. I'm sure he can get out of an unsafe situation."
"Gue hope so too, Bas. But I'm really worried. The violent protesters each equip themselves with weaponry. Someone brought a machete. Someone's got celurit." Suddenly Dimas' eyes glazed over. Then he spoke with a vibrating tone. "Gue can't take a shadow if it reaches Ama–"
"Dim!" cut Baskoro. "Don't think bad first! Suggest your mind with something good. If you need to pray, let Amara be safe there."
Baskoro gasped Dimas shed tears. The man was silent while staring outwards. Both of his hands were also clenched. For as long as he knew, this was the first time Dimas had cried over a woman with his wits. He could feel the sadness his friend was experiencing. Baskoro also sees the sincerity of Dimas' love for Amara. Indeed, the man had his own way of showing his love.
Damage happens everywhere. A car that was burned in the middle of the road. Then then a thick red stain scattered on the road.
The blood? Oh no!
That bloodstain made Dimas even more panicked. He walked to and fro in a confused and almost desperate manner. Sometimes he screams the name of his beloved wife.
"Mara! Where are you, honey!"
Silent. There is no lawfulness. And that made Dimas' chest feel even more tight.
Baskoro who was trying to search elsewhere also returned empty-handed. He ran away in a hurry and approached Dimas who was kneeling in the middle of the road. Again he found Dimas' face full of sadness.
"Dim, how?" ask carefully. Dimas answered with a head. The man was still looking at the bloodstains in front of him.
"Dim, it's not Amara's blood."
Dimas gasped. He then looked at Baskoro with a glimmer of hope in his eyeballs. Baskoro's words may be true. The panic and fear of loss made him feel lost. He thought it was Amara's blood just because when VC was with Naura Amara was standing there.
Immediately Dimas rose up with a burning spirit.
"Gue has to see Amara."
"Good." Baskoro said proudly.
Dimas then took the phone out of his pocket and contacted someone.
"Whose phone?" baskoro asked curiously when Dimas stuck the flat object into his ear.
"Naura. He's the one who causes the problems, he's the one who has to solve the problems." Dimas spoke with a fiery tone. Baskoro could clearly see the glint of vengeance on the two gallant men's netra.
Shortly thereafter the connection was connected. A female voice that Dimas knew very well was finally heard greeting weakly.
"Hello Dimas."
"Same me, where are you now!" No more tenderness for a snake woman like Naura. They even grit their teeth when speaking.
"I-I was in a box car by the side of the road. With Amara. We're locked inside."
Dimas can't even describe how he feels right now. His body lost power. The joints feel weak. It would have been almost unsteady had Baskoro not held it back to give it strength.
Dimas can no longer even shed tears. Fear has taken over his entire soul. Letting Amara be alone with Naura? It was the same as giving up Amara's life.
He could no longer imagine how Naura would be able to freely judge his wife. He knew very well how reckless Naura was. Naura is a snake woman who is willing to do everything she can just for satisfaction.
With a red face extinguished with anger, he gave a firm word to Baskoro.
"Take a crowbar in the car!"
