THE LORD OF THE OTHER WORLD

THE LORD OF THE OTHER WORLD
Chapter 40: Black Wing Clash

At that moment the wind blew, accompanied by a faint pounding of sand covering the view of the shadow creatures. They had prepared and formed a formation. The shadow creatures had dispersed and taken command among the survivors. The captives decided to join the battlefield, not least the group of elves who had been subject to orders.

From a distance, just eight hundred meters above the sky, Samantha, relying on her vision, realized that a swarm of black-winged figures were moving closer to them. The vision had only appeared at a glance, not even two seconds, and everything had returned to normal.

Then, Samantha said with a tone full of calmness.

"They're coming, get ready."

"They really came to die? Goody! Very good!" said Becky.

Then Becky excitedly summoned her deadly sickle weapon from the void space. He smiled in a strange way and his face looked very sad. The atmosphere of madness he emitted also frightened the survivors within his own squad. His scythe was large and looked very sharp. It intimidates anyone who sees. Not a few of those in the front squad also thought Becky might be more frightening than the wild stars they will fight. They even started to worry that while fighting later, he would go crazy and misidentify them as comrades on the same side. However, it was fortunate that being behind that vicious figure, a more graceful figure and having a much calmer demeanor, started walking closer to him. The figure then stood beside Becky and sighed. Before finally warning her sister not to lose her mind and finish off all the enemies she meets. After all, it was necessary in the battle to leave some of the enemy's sides to become prisoners of war.

"Violet, Scott, do it now" Samantha said as she predicted the enemy had entered the attack range.

The two figures who were at the very back of it also received his instructions. Soon the two begin to rely on each other's abilities. They both work in a team that supports each other. Scott unrolled the scroll from his storage containing a painting seal. Simultaneously, Violet then relied on her unique abilities, making a thought connection into Scott's painting seal and then reciting a high-level spell.

The innate ability of both of them really amazed those who had just witnessed it for the first time. A unique ability that even the elves agreed to acknowledge the prowess of the two. A successful combination created quite a terrifying battleground vibe!

In just a few seconds, a shadow projection emanating from the result of Scott's image and the recitation of the spell realized by Violet, appeared above the ceiling and carried an oppressive aura! The enormous black-coloured shadow fiercely pulled out his arrow weapon that emitted black smoke, blazing, like a fire that was inserted at every touch of his arrow.

The black shadow figure took its position, pulled the bow arrows and prepared to shoot. It only takes one command from Violet and she's about to jump on it. It all depends on the will. When Samantha returned to give the command, only then did Violet raise her hand and drop it forward.

A slightly loud thump was heard followed by a very strong surge of wind. The arrow that was blazing with black flames had just been fired towards the incoming enemy. The target from the direction of the arrow was actually aimed at a swarm of black sky sea that was moving closer towards them.

"Who was that just passing by!"

"They can call the god of death? How awful!" Many of those who saw the attack trembled clumsily under the extremely domineering might. Among them were even grateful in the heart that figures like Violet and Scott who created the shadow were on their side.

Especially after seeing what happened next. The dense black plume of smoke that filled the sky in the enemy stronghold then collided with the arrow that the great shadow had just released. A great explosion! The sky that was originally covered with a swarm of black entities was now starting to gradually turn brighter.

"Great!"

A hint of awe emanated from the few survivors who were watching. The initial attack turned out to have given more courage that this war will be won by their side. The fighting spirit in their stronghold also surged just because of the opening attack which the shadow creatures thought was something trivial.

"I don't think that the two kids have started to show off their skills. Although the attack was not strong, I have to admit that it was a success to give the impression of the survivors who saw it" Becca said.

"Not bad, both have done their duty well." Samantha slightly smiled as she realized that such a blunt attack was even effective at destroying the enemy line troops that had previously moved closer by crossing the ceiling.

"They're weak opponents?" Becky who was originally enthusiastic was now a little upset because she realized the same thing as what Samantha thought.
