THE LORD OF THE OTHER WORLD

THE LORD OF THE OTHER WORLD
Chapter 2: Magic Weapons

"... According to the information gathered by our investigation department regarding the condition of the central region, it is likely that the secret invitation letter sent by the adventurer association to all corners of the continent is true. Basically they sent out invitations to every great adventurer guild that was in the third level of the empire or affiliated kingdoms and above. Regarding the reason behind it all, our department is still in the stage of further investigation."

"After noticing the bad stratagem played by the people from the sacred temple, it was true that the adventurer association had finally started to move." In a soft voice Mavis muttered after listening to the explanation reported by Hanes.

"Just after I remembered how the influence of the adventurer association in the central continent was greater than that of the holy temple, why didn't they just go flat? Actually what caused the adventurer association to become insecure in the presence of the sacred temple? To the point of having to invite adventurers scattered all over the continent to gather strength together."

"Your Majesty, let me express my opinion."

Mavis nodded as she saw Reene walking forward from the front row. Three years had passed and now the young man looked much more mature with the whiskers and thin beard he had. Even though his carrying seemed calmer and charismatic on the surface, he was indeed worthy of inheriting the ability of the father who was an imperial advisor before.

"According to my view on the matter, what they are trying to do is minimize the losses when they start fighting against the holy temple. Your Majesty, I feel that this time the association has been correct in making a decision. With the gathering of experts from all over the continent's landmass, it would provide additional strength on their side. Especially with some pseudo-power that has been acquired by the holy temple over the past three years, the position of the two sides today can be said to be balanced."

"Indeed your words have a point, the power of the holy temple has greatly increased."

After a few moments Mavis pondered, putting a little worry on the kingdom that became the residence of his entire family. Sending off an entire adventurer was akin to lowering half of the might of a kingdom or empire. Mavis hoped that the father would not accept the invitation and would not need to participate in the current dispute between the adventurer association and the sacred temple.

Not long after this young emperor also regained his senses and immediately dismissed all his baldness. After all, from the beginning, he was determined to try to stay focused only on the interests of his empire. Mavis let out a heavy sigh before finally continuing the discussion of the meeting, moving on to the next topic, she directed her gaze towards the dwarf figure dressed in leather.

The old man from the dwarf race also advanced from within the ranks, then gave a gesture of respect before answering the emperor's question. "According to His Majesty's request, we will complete the order within the remaining period of time, which is three days from now" said Houdabor with his flat face.

Seemed as usual he spoke with a very stiff nature and seemed to disrespect the emperor. But be it Mavis or others, none of them thought Houdabor was being disrespectful. They had basically known the dwarf's personality very well. Although on the surface he looks like that, but actually he really admires the emperor from the bottom of his heart. He's just not very good at expressing himself. Even when mentioning among his own race, Houdabor is one that is difficult in terms of getting along.

"This is good news for the imperial soldiers! After the first production is completed, immediately distribute everything to the rear line soldiers. I want everyone to change their bows into that sophisticated magical weapon, with the aim of saving on spending budget because there is no need to make more arrows" Mavis said with a satisfied smile. Unlike the others, none of them really knew about the intended development of magical weapons. Only Mavis and the dwarf craftsmen knew. Hence they could only resign themselves, nod awkwardly, and hope for someone to explain immediately about the weapon-making information.

"Your Excellency please rest assured, our research department will soon distribute everything once completed at the final stage of work." Houdabor remained silent after his previous words. He put on a complicated face as if there was something he wanted to ask, but he still hesitated. In the end, Mavis caught a strange gurgle from him and decided to ask.

"Houdabor, is there something you want to say again?"

"Your Majesty, what will the weapon be called?" Houdabor.

"Magic gun." Mavis replied to him while throwing a proud look.

In fact, Mavis only describes the outline design of the weapon, such as how the shape and technical of the weapon can shoot bullets stored in it. Only he was truly unexpected, his slight understanding of firearms in his previous world could be used in this place after undergoing many adjustments. The gun was no longer loaded with bullets, but the natural spirit that was collected and stored on the weapon, using advanced methods created by the dwarf craftsmen.
