THE LORD OF THE OTHER WORLD

THE LORD OF THE OTHER WORLD
Chapter 29: The Assault

Switch elsewhere, precisely in a six affiliated kingdom in the northern continent. Silence enveloped the meeting meeting hall when a bodyguard suddenly barged in without permission first. The bodyguard ran in haste and immediately took a half- prostrate position before the king. Panic mixed with nervousness appeared in the dull look of his face, immediately making the audience who watched from the side also wonder, what really happened so that the soldier was so scared?

Sitting on his throne, King Salomon who looked straight at the soldier in confusion immediately hinted at Ugo, whose royal adviser to represent him asked. Sigap received the king's glance, Ugo immediately reprimanded and asked the soldier with a tone of dislike. However, the attitude of the soldier just now was very disrespectful, he had presumptuously barged into the meeting hall and disrupted the important meeting attended by the king.

"Your Majesty the King, I have just received a letter from the head of the six squad soldiers who are serving in the western residential district of the capital. In the letter it is said that not long ago, about three hours ago, a strange phenomenon appeared in some residents who lived in the area. The crime rate suddenly soared, among the most cases are theft, kidnapping, and even murder."

"What about the perpetrators, has anyone been caught?"

"Until now we have arrested eight perpetrators of the crime, only, Your Honor, this ...."

"Tell me clearly, what's up?"

For a moment the Guard fell silent and put on an ugly expression, as if he was very sorry for having to reveal this bad news directly to the king. However, a few seconds later, the three-pulan man immediately established himself and answered the question.

"Your Majesty, I am very sorry to inform you that all the perpetrators of this crime have died completely. As soon as these perpetrators began to be interrogated by prison officials, they did not know why they had suddenly blown themselves up. Until now no one knows the cause of the incident because there is absolutely no trigger or irregularity at the time of the examination process."

"How can you?" The king stared in wonder as he frowned as soon as he finished hearing the confession of the soldier. Then, it did not take long for him to recover in his calm condition.

"Your Majesty, please allow me to see it directly. Having just heard some of the features the bodyguard had told me, here I suspect that the perpetrators should be unconscious, or perhaps more precisely under the influence of a spell that could control their bodies and minds like walking dolls."

"You better not take my words lightly, Arad. You know clearly how dangerous it would be if it were true that any of the forbidden spells we know ourselves could have done damage to previous wars" Toban said in a dislike tone, he threw an annoyed look towards the bearded man opposite him.

On the contrary, Arad who got a reprimand from his colleague could only smile a little, as if not putting eyes on Toban's words.

"Aren't you making up too much? Have you forgotten that we are currently dealing with a conflict with the beasts? Could have been an intruder who meant here one of them." The rancid-faced old man then turned his head and looked towards the king's throne, then continued his words, "Your Highness, those wild beasts have already started to take action, it's time we don't act passively on the surface, or they'll step on this kingdom even more."

"No, I think it's too early to get dragged into a conflict with an outsider. We should wait first and see the results of the performance of the great kingdoms and empires in dealing with the invasion of the beasts. In addition, I also agree with what Toban voiced, I myself realize that there is some sort of resemblance to how the perpetrators blew themselves up. Thinking that one of the conditions of activating the forbidden spell was limited to the distance of the location around, here I'm pretty sure that the intruder hasn't left the capital and is still blending in among the residents, then secretly using them from the shadows," said one of the top men who was standing right on Toban's left. His name was Grus, he was also one of the upper echelons of the kingdom who served in defense matters, along with Toban and one other.

As the king sighed, his gaze turned back to one of his princes, then he nodded and began saying, "Alright, I allow you to go and see him firsthand. It's just that I ordered you to be more careful. Bring along some experts just in case."

"Thank you, Your Majesty." Toban walked forward before the king, then lowered his head while bending one of his hands in front of his chest. "Then I beg you to start preparing everything."

The King nodded, without replying with words. Toban then turned around and intended to walk away from the meeting room. However, just as everyone thought that the topic of the conversation was over there, suddenly the large door opened and immediately a few figures with alluring looks walked leisurely into the hall. This scene clearly made shock in the hearts of anyone present, not least the king's adviser who usually kept his calm.

"No one leaves this room." One of the figures who had just come was wearing a trivial expression, while embracing his great sickle weapon that emitted a cold aura.
