Chapter 3. Zombie Attack Towards the City Center

Chapter 3

Lewis pushed the chair towards the zombie that was about to attack him. The zombie nail clawed the young man's hand until it hurt fried the claw.

"Dad, do something!" pinta Lewis with a face of panic and fear. He was afraid that he would also turn into a zombie due to the scratch of the barusa

The young man did not know what to do at the moment. His father was also out of bullets. The zombie lunged at Lewis' body and tried to bite him. However, he tried to fight back and the zombies managed to bite his palm.

Lewis was scared to death when he saw his hand bitten. Aron took the chair and then hit it on the zombie head with all his might until it bounced and then pulled the child's hand.

"We're out of this room. Come on!" take Aron with you while you unlock. Then get out of that room.

Lewis, who was still afraid of turning into a zombie, was shocked again when he saw the scars and bites were gone and not used.

'Why? What happened to my body? I'm not gonna turn into a zombie, am I?' inner Lewis.

They both ran down the hall. Near the elevator there are zombies, then both of them decided to go down the stairs. The only way to get out of the building is by secret passage like they went in there last night.

"Dad, I'm tired" Lewis said with a hunting breath and a body full of sweat.

"We just got off one floor. There are still seven stairs that we have to lower," said Aron while dragging his son's hand.

Lewis no longer had the energy to die. For him it was no different to die from exhaustion running with a zombie bite.

Grprr! Grprr!

Just about to descend the stairs to the third floor, there were already zombies attacking them. Lewis' body could no longer be forced to move. He has reached his limit.

Lewis and Aron move backwards because they have to pay attention to the motion of the zombie. 

Grprr! Grprr!

Now they're stuck in the window. If only they had the guts, then without waiting for long would have jumped through that window. The two people were resigned at this time there were five zombies besieging. The frightened faces of the two people were so clear.

"Dad." Lewis spoke with a soft. The young man was really scared.

Actually Aron is no less afraid of his son. Now whatever they are going to do will not be able to survive this zombie attack, unless there is a miracle.

Grprr! Grprr!

The five zombies had approached and stayed two meters away separating the two fathers and sons with these monstrous creatures.

Graaaaw! Graaaaw!

Zombies screamed in pain as their bodies were exposed to the incoming sunlight through the window. The body of the creature that was exposed to the light became smoky. They retreated away from Aron and Lewis.

The two men stared in wonder at the zombies who suddenly went away with a staggering run. This way their lives can still be saved.

"They're why, Dad?" lewis asked still with an astonished expression.

"Don't know. There must be something that makes them like that" replied Aron looking a little relieved.

"Are they so out of fear of the sun?" lewis asked, remembering the bodies of the zombies were emitting smoke when exposed to sunlight through the window.

Aron thought the same. He felt that the creature was weak to the sunlight.

Graaaaw! Graaaaw! Graaaaw!

There was a loud noise outside the building. Lewis and Aron saw the professor zombie that was dropped by Aron last night was floundering on the grass with smoke and turned into ash and then blown away by the wind.

Both Lewis and Aron were stunned to see the scene below. They watched how the zombie was destroyed and finally turned into ashes under the direct sunlight.

"Dad, we need to get out of here and while there's sunlight" Lewis said.

"Yes, you're right" Aron replied.

Lewis and Aron came out the window with a hose. They don't want to take the risk of encountering a zombie if they go down the elevator or the stairs.

Lewis and Aron were shocked that the video of the cctv they sent to the military and the city government of El Dorado was now broadcast to the public. Of course this will provoke the fear and panic of the citizens of the city. 

"They should have acted quickly while the zombies were still gathered in the laboratory building and had not spread to the city" Aron said with annoyance.

"Did you guys do some dangerous research to make a human turn into a zombie?" ask Mary astonished. Because the place is not to change or research a species of living things. 

The three Walker family members were discussing. How could something like this happen and how could it be destroyed by sunlight.

During the day the sound of sirens filled the city of El Dorado. The residents became frightened, many people chose to leave the small island. There are also those who choose to hide in the basement. Self-service stores are heavily invaded by residents who want to stock up on food as long as they hide. Only a few people do not care much about this situation. They believe the military will be able to fight the zombies.

Mayor Adams Smith urged people not to leave their homes after sunset as long as the city remains unstable. He also contacted the central government to provide military power and equipment assistance, as well as plenty of food for stock so that residents would not go hungry while they were hiding.

A sergeant and several members of the military broke into the Geophysical laboratory complex. Their mistake was to damage the gate. Though Aron has told the entrance to the place and do not let any zombies out of the laboratory fortress. Now the towering and sturdy gate was damaged after it was destroyed by a bomb. Geophysical laboratory security level is sophisticated so that it cannot be infiltrated by just anyone.

Military forces entered the laboratory room through the main entrance. Again they smashed the door to get into the building. Their arrival was immediately greeted by three zombies in laboratory security uniforms. The military fired at the creature with advanced bullets. However, they can still attack back. It was not until one hour one company of military forces that it all turned into zombies.

The sun has sunk in the western horizon, the zombies are now wandering out of the laboratory building and through the gate to the residential area. People who do not know that many zombies have entered the city center have been attacked and they turned into similar creatures.

Now the state of the suburb of El Dorado which is several kilometers from the location of the Geophysical laboratory is gripping. Many people tried to escape and hide. After getting an attack, the number of zombies grew more and more and they moved continuously towards the center of the city. 

"Armando, let's get out of here!" shouted a middle-aged man.

"Where are we going, Dad?" armando asked, a dashing young man and a taekwondo athlete.

"We went to Maria's house. He has a strong banker in his house" replied Aiden, a colleague of Maria who works as a scientist in the field of biochemistry.

Once out of the house, there were already many zombies hanging around. The creature ran towards the father and son. 

"Quick get in the car!" shout Aiden.

Grprr! Grprr!

There are two zombies near the car and ready to attack Aiden and Armando. Both of them ran away from the creature. The two men are now surrounded by neighbors who have turned into zombies.

"What should we do now?" armando asked his father.

"We have to fight. Is there a weapon that can fight them?" Aiden answered in panic.

Armando saw a car belonging to the military. He ran there and pulled his father's hand. He wished there were weapons there.

"There's a hand bomb, Dad," Armando said.

More and more zombie hordes surrounded them. Without a second thought, Armando threw the bomb at the creature.

Duars!

The bomb exploded and several zombies were burned by the huge flames.

"It wasn't an explosive bomb. It's a fire bomb" Aiden said

Graaaaw! Graaaaw! Graaaaw!

The zombies that were enveloped by the flames let out a loud sound and they turned into ashes after the flames died. Neither Armando nor Aiden believed what they saw.

"They were reduced to ashes after burning" Aiden murmured.

"Be–nar, Dad," replied Armando who was still in a state of shock.

Grprr! Grprr!

"Dad, they're still there!" armando shouted as he looked at the back.
