Chapter 22. Enter the Dungeon Again

Chapter 22

Lewis and his three friends enter the Dungeon through the Geophysics laboratory. How surprised they were when they got in there. The forest was almost covered by the vines. Even the flowers are blooming a lot. The four teenagers were confused as to which way to walk. 

"We're through here!" take Lewis when you see there's still a road on the right.

"Have we cut down this tree?" armando asked as he pulled the strong trunk of the tree that was creeping nearby.

"We should also examine the trunk of this tree. Who knows if there is liquid like the corpse flower and can be used as medicine or weapons to defeat zombies" replied Gaby who tried to cut the plant stem.

After successfully cutting the stem came out a white-colored liquid. Then, Gaby poked it and the liquid felt sticky like sap. The skin of the girl's fingers became flushed and felt hot. He rubbed his finger on the ground to remove the liquid.

"What is the sap of this tree?" hilda asked as she watched the liquid dripping from the trunk and falling to the ground. 

The sap hit the grass and turned to wither. The four teenagers were flabbergasted to see that. This tree is very dangerous. Not only the flowers, but the resulting sap is equally dangerous.

"Can this sap be used as a weapon to fight zombies?" ask Gaby.

"Where do I know. But it doesn't hurt if we take a little sample and get it checked in the lab" Lewis replied.

Lewis took a little of that liquid and put it in a special tube. After that, they continued their journey to find carrion flowers. The situation in the forest began to darken because the vines had begun to cover the towering trees. Not to mention from the flowers, many are spouting viral powder that can make animals turn savage and humans become zombies.

They meet a group of giant monkeys who are fighting each other. The animals are acting very wild. They attack the opponent until they bleed because of mutual claws and bite also release each other's bodies. 

"We should hurry to find the corpse flower. We don't know what time it is in the world" Lewis said, so his friends would hurry and ignore unnecessary circumstances.

The four teenagers had to race against time. They spread their eyes all over to look for carrion flowers.

After a long walk Hilda saw there was a carcass flower that was quite large. Smaller than the flowers from yesterday.

"It can take both of us" said Hilda and Gaby.

The flowers they carry using a portable wheel board, which can be disassembled. They deliberately carried such tools because the size of the carcass flower was large and very difficult as well as heavy.

"Hi, I'll be there for a second!" Lewis pointed towards 10 o'clock because there were some trees there that were not wrapped around by the vines.

Lewis's eyes immediately sparkled. He rediscovered a carcass flower that was twice the size of the corpse flower found by Hilda earlier. 

Lewis and Armando rushed to cut the flower and split it in half so that it was not difficult when carrying it later. They put the corpse flower on a trolley board and tied it tightly.

It turned out that on the way home they had to deal with many animals that had turned into savages. Now the situation is getting more precarious because all the animals are attacking simultaneously.
