Chapter 29. New Plan

Chapter 29

"Look, what are they carrying?" gaby asked and made his three friends to pay attention to the object carried by being carried together.

"Ladders? What did they bring that for?" asked Hilda dumbfounded.

The zombies came in droves to the fortress where the residents are still healthy. They brought a ladder to climb so that they could climb into the fortress.

"We should attack immediately before they do their goal!" lewis's orders.

Boom up! Boom up! Boom up! Boom up!

Graaaaw! Graaaaw! Graaaaw!

The four teenagers immediately bombed the zombies that were walking quickly towards them. Almost half of it turned to ashes. 

"Strike again!" shouts Armando.

Booms! Boom up!

They launched a backlash and the zombies turned to ashes. However, there are still zombies that survived the explosion of the JN23 bomb. They ran towards the fort. Unlike earlier when in the middle of the city who immediately ran to save themselves from a bomb attack, the, this time the zombies continued to run towards the fortress as if there was something they wanted inside this fortress.

Dor's! Dor's! Dor's!

Lewis and Armando fire on the remaining zombies with JN23 bullets. The four teenagers replaced the attack method by shooting at the creature because of their scattered positions.

"Have they finished?" asked Gaby who looked exhausted.

"Until when does this keep happening. It feels better if we all leave this island," continued Hilda who felt fed up with the situation on Artac Island.

Not getting any help from the central government. People who are constantly turning into zombies. They must daily exterminate these creatures by fighting all night.

"Patience. It's all gonna be over soon. It's not that on this part of the island there are no more zombies. They were gathered in one place and somehow they all came here. This makes it easier for us to wipe out all the zombies in one place" Lewis replied and was justified by Armando.

Zombies are no longer seen in their territory. Not long after that, the military forces entered the fort. They told Mayor Adams Smith what had happened to them.

"We also experienced the same as you. How did this happen? They hid in a large group and then moved to a point" the military team chief said.

"I want to ask if any of you have ever come into contact with the sap from the trunk of the tree “itu”?" ask the other military.

"What does this have to do with the sap of the tree “itu” with the gathering of zombies?" ask Aron curiously.

"I'm sorry Mr. Aron. I accidentally stumbled on the foot of the table where the sap was stored. Unintentionally there was a little liquid that was spilled. Then, I wipe using a handkerchief. When I was patrolling the place I went to was a lot of zombies. It was as if they had gathered to attack me. Meanwhile, the place visited by friends there is not a single zombie" said the military team leader.

"We're all fighting zombies. Since our weaponry was depleted, we decided to go back first to bring more weaponry. When we ran away in the car they ran after us. I accidentally dropped the handkerchief I had used to wipe away the sap. It turned out that my handkerchief turned blackish-yellow. I don't know why I threw that handkerchief out the window. It turns out that the zombies are fighting over the handkerchief and are not chasing us anymore" continued the military team leader.

Everyone who was there was surprised. They also thought why it could all happen.

"How about we do a test with that liquid sap somewhere? Will the zombies come in droves?" Aiden gave me an idea.

"There's no harm in trying. The weapons we have are many. There's still an hour until the sun comes up. So, are we doing that now, or tonight?" Aron agrees with Aiden.

They also deliberated and decided to start doing the strategy later after sunset. However, now it was not just the four teenagers and the military team that intervened against the zombies. Residents will also be involved in carrying out attacks on the fort.

Lewis and Armando walk through the streets of El Dorado. They tried to lure the zombies that were on the subway tracks. They drip the liquid on a piece of cloth, then he glue the object to stick on the floor. They wanted to try to put the liquid in a small container, but Aron forbade it. Because after testing the rats that were turned into zombies. The liquid could make the zombies even stronger and savage. 

"Look, they're starting to come!" whispered Armando while pointing with his lips.

Lewis continued to pay attention to the circumstances around where the trap was laid. The zombies sprang up by running or walking fast. It turned out that many zombies had come to the point where the cloth was laid. 

Without wasting any time Lewis and Armando bombed them all and turned to ashes. Their feed really worked. Then they went back to the lab and told me what had happened.

After resting enough everyone was now getting ready at their respective posts. There are ten points where deliberately made bait storage. They've put it all down before the sun goes down. Of course for the zombies to come straight to those points as soon as the time enters the night.

Aron and the others also managed to make 500 more JN23 bombs from dawn until afternoon. This is just in case they are afraid that their weapons will run out, while the enemy is still there. 

"Are you ready?" ask Mayor Adams Smith who will lead the citizens to fight the zombies.

"We're ready!" answer them with passion.
