The First Heir (First Heir)

The First Heir (First Heir)
chapter 30

Philip entered Audi and continued to discuss Mila's condition with Henry. Henry had already researched Mila's condition for half a month now, and the success rate he could obtain was 80%! That means a very high chance of total recovery!

They went to the hospital to see Wynn. He was now safe but still unconscious from shock.

Right after Philip left the hospital entrance with Henry, Keagan, and Theo in tow, he received a call from his father-in-law.

Charles was furious as he shouted, "Philip! Where did you run? Where's the painting I told you to deliver?"

The slap! Philip patted his forehead then remembered that he had left the house this morning to deliver the painting to the Civil Gallery. How could he forget? Without thinking anymore, Philip quickly said, "Send me to Southville Street."

Theo immediately went up to open his Benz door, letting Philip in. Henry and Keagan wanted to get Philip into their own car, but they were not as fast as Theo.

"Let's follow them" said Henry.

Shortly thereafter, five Audi followed behind Benz as they made their way to an old residential area on Southville Street.

The car did not stop in front of the house because Martha was at home. Philip told the car to stop somewhere else then he ran to the old house and knocked. "Mom, I'm here to paint."

Martha opened the door with a pouting and scolding expression, "Where did you run? Are you trying to make me send you the painting yourself? I don't even know what you're doing with your life. You only know how to slack off."

As Philip listened to Martha's harsh words, he simply smiled in embarrassment and continued to apologize. He picked up a gift box ready to put on the coffee table and rushed out the door. Behind her, her mother-in-law kept reprimanding, "Why did my daughter even marry such a bad piece of trash! He must be cursed by bad luck!"

Martha's voice could be heard around the end of the road. The mouths of Theo, Henry, and Keagan, who had been standing beside their car, twitched. This mother-in-law is too much. But, why would Mr Clarke tolerate it when he was so strong in reality?

"The Ke Civil Gallery. You can stop following me. If there's anything, we'll talk tomorrow." Philip looked at Henry and the others who still seemed to want to follow him.

After Philip got in, the car drove to the Civil Gallery.

Back at the gallery, all the decorations were ready and the place was filled with distinguished guests. Everything was going well except for the main hall where the crowd was waiting with dark expressions. Among them was Charles Johnston who was very upset. He put his hands behind him as he said, "This philip really can't do anything right. He couldn't even deliver the painting properly after being told to!"

The exhibition had already begun, but the most important part, Friendship in the Spring Mountains by Tang Bohu, had yet to arrive. This confused Charles!

Aiden stood beside Charles, unable to hide the grin on his face as he said, "Uncle Johnston, I think Philip is blatantly disrespecting you. It was a very important exhibition, but he was late. Wasn't he just trying to humiliate you? You?" This kid is really terrible! He tried to make the situation worse even at a time like this.

"Hmmm!" Charles grunting. "I don't have a daughter-in-law like her!"

The people inside the gallery were mostly art collectors as well, and they became impatient while talking.

"Charles, we're all here because of your invitation, but what do you have to show us? Where's the painting?"

"You're not sincere with us. Or maybe you don't really have Friendship in the Spring Mountains and are just trying to bully us."

"The other things here aren't much, and we're just waiting for this painting. Tell us how much longer we have to wait."

When everyone was agitated, Charles could only smile and apologize. "That's coming soon, my daughter-in-law is on her way." This fucking philip! After the expo ends, I'll have Wynn divorce her!

"Hehe, Charles, didn't you ask your stupid son-in-law to send the painting to disgrace the artwork?" Among the crowd, a bald middle-aged man began to mock.

He was Charles' rival, Benjamin Money. They are in the same department in their working days and always quarrel with each other.

Rumors of Charles' son-in-law as wretched trash had already spread throughout their circle, and the people would gossip at most slowly. But for Benjamin to put it on the table and ridicule it in front of everyone was already outrageous.

Just then, Philip arrived at the outer area of the Civil Gallery in Theo's car. As soon as he made sure that no one around recognized him, he went out and rushed to the gallery.

Theo had also waited for a while before entering the gallery by pretending to visit the place as he followed Philip.

With the gift box under his arm, Philip dashed into the number one exhibition hall in Area C.

As soon as he appeared at the entrance of the gallery, Aiden who had sharp eyes exclaimed, "Philip is here!" After shouting, he rushed over and took the painting out of Philip's hand and reprimanded, "Philip, what took you so long just to deliver the painting? You didn't go and mess with a woman, did you?"

Aiden had seen Philip get into Anna's car with his own eyes, so he deliberately said this out loud.
