Philip glanced at him calmly and expressionlessly.
Kyle looked at Philip, obviously unhappy. This fellow looked so normal, how could he be so calm? How interesting!
"Bro, can you pay three hundred thousand?" Kyle was not a gangster who had just started attacking for no apparent reason. Three hundred thousand was a huge sum for a normal person. Kyle felt that a man like Philip would never be able to afford this amount, but he still had to ask. Diplomacy before violence.
"Sorry, but he's breaking the red light and must take full responsibility. What's more, we didn't really hit each other" Philip said calmly.
Jacob pointed at Philip and roared furiously, "Does that mean you won't pay?"
Philip looked at him calmly, not answering.
Kyle frowned slightly, turned his gaze to Harley who was crushed on the ground and said, "Bro, three thousand is not too expensive. Just one foot."
This is a threat. Philip's gaze turned cold as a glint appeared in his eyes.
As the heir to an elite family, was three hundred thousand that important to him? That doesn't. But, he could not allow himself to be taken advantage of.
"What if I say I don't have money?" Philip replied.
A group of bikers laughed out loud as they looked at Philip as if he was an idiot.
Kyle rubbed his nose before draping his arm around Philip's shoulder, giving him a brash smile. "Uncle, do you know who I am? I'm Kyle Lyon from Lord North Street. Everyone showed respect to me by calling me 'Brother Kyle'. It doesn't make sense if you don't compensate one today."
Kyle was amused. This was the first time he had met such a foolish man. Is his head made of iron? Or does he think he's a honey badger? How funny!
"Brother Kyle, just look at his clothes, and you can tell that he's broke."
"This idiot might not even know what a Harley is, hahaha!"
"Uncle, quickly call someone to bring you some money. Our brother Kyle doesn't hold back." The biker troupe constantly booed. The girls crossed their arms with angry expressions while the men leaned on their bicycles, smoking.
Lynn was among the group, watching coldly. She leaned on one of the girls who was wearing tight leather pants and a cut camisole.
"He's my cousin's brother-in-law, wretched scum who lives under my cousin's expense." Lynn suddenly interjected, saying this like it made her seem superior.
"Damn, the man who was nurtured! Uncle, you have enough skills. Why don't you teach us?" Some bikers started to scramble again.
Kyle held back a laugh and shook his head. He scoffs at men who rely on women the most. "So, what's your decision, Uncle?" ask Kyle. He grinned and was ready to get physical.
Philip remained silent without saying a word. A mental calculation tells him it's time.
Suddenly, Philip's pupils constricted as he saw a large number of red-colored scooters speeding from afar!
"Why are there so many couriers?" Without knowing who was shouting, everyone turned to look.
The sight of red scooters, red helmets, and red vests filled their eyes. Not just ten units. The entire intersection was filled with a fleet of red shipping services! There are almost fifty units! Scooters immediately surrounded this entire area.
"Damn! What gives? They're all cheap scooters!" shout Jacob. He then turned to Philip and asked, "Did you call them?"
Philip nodded. "Yes." Yeah."
"Ha ha ha!" There was a burst of laughter.
"You think calling a bunch of delivery guys would be useful?" Jacob laughed out loud as he belittled.
Kyle was too lazy to even ridicule him, only shaking his head. Is this guy really an idiot? To actually have the guts to do such an embarrassing thing. Is this a popular method today? To call the delivery service to save yourself. Thats cute.
Lynn was among the biker team. When he saw this scene, he could not help but laugh. This cousin-in-law's sister is too much. How could his cousin fall in love with such a man? He is rubbish!
Just then, from among the shipping fleet, Agnes came out in a black skirt suit. Under the headlights of the scooter, he walked towards Philip.
Philip just gave her a signal with his eyes and Agnes understood. Philip had explicitly told him earlier that his identity would not be revealed. This guy is really low profile.
Agnes then turned to face Kyle and his group, saying casually, "I'm manager Philip. If you have a problem with him, you can talk to me."
Kyle's eyes scanned Agnes from top to bottom. This woman is so beautiful. She was better than the young girls around her.
"Okay, I'll talk to you then" Kyle replied happily. "Three hundred thousand. Once we get the money, he can go."
Police report? Kyle immediately frowned.
Police are the most troublesome existence for motorcycle gangs. What happened tonight was mostly Jacob's fault. If they make a police report, he won't have it well. The most important thing is Kyle didn't take out his SIM today.
"Darling, the conversation didn't go like this. That's too insincere." Kyle's expression darkened. The people behind him started cracking their knuckles.
However, as they took a step forward, the delivery men with red vests around them rolled up their sleeves furiously, ready to deal a blow. How can they still negotiate? That was ten people versus over forty oily adult men. There is nothing left to negotiate!
Kyle knew that this situation was not favorable for him. He gritted his teeth and said, "Good. You win in numbers. Let's go." He then led his group to their modified bike and left.
While they were still in sight, Kyle raised his middle finger towards Philip. Lynn looked at Philip with a cold gaze, even more resentful of him. What is he arrogant about? An annoying delivery guy like him actually needs a woman to fight for his honor. Serving him properly to be a nurtured person for the rest of his life!
After the motorcycle gang disappeared in the distance, Agnes finally heaved a sigh of relief. He turned to ask respectfully, "Boss, are you okay?"
A crowd of brothers began to chim in to ask about his health as well.
"I'm fine, I'm fine, you can go back now" Philip said.
After confirming that Philip was fine, Agnes led the team away.
The crisis passed as quickly as it came. Philip got on his bike and returned to the hospital. Wynn came to the hospital that night and slept with Mila after refreshing herself. Philip, instead, sat on a long bench outside the ward to pass the night.
***
Today is Charles Johnston's birthday. After thinking about it, Philip decided to make a trip. As for his birthday present, Philip had brought a Chinese painting, which Russell had given him. Russell was a well-known collector domestically, so the paintings from him were definitely original and could be sold for a high price.
However, Philip knew that whatever gift he brought, it would still be scorned. But he doesn't mind it. It was just a sign of his respect.
At the entrance of Virtuous Court, where Wynn had said to meet, the beautiful silhouette of a woman standing beside the door, was clearly anxious.
Wynn Johnston specifically wore a long black dress today with hair combed up. She looks beautiful and elegant. But, this woman was cold to Philip.
Philip walked lazily, and teased, "Hey, are you waiting for me?"
Wynn frowned and looked at Philip with a look of disdain. "Did you bring a gift for my father?"
Philip showed her the long gift box in his hand. "Yes I did it."
Wynn did not even bother looking and simply turned to step into the restaurant in his high heels. He had to beg his father for a long time before he was allowed to take Philip.
"Once we get inside, don't say anything in a hurry. Many of my family members and my father's friends are here today, and if they say anything about you, just hold it. You only need to remember one thing today, which is to apologize to my parents. If you can do that, I won't divorce you" urged Wynn.
Philip chuckled, not remembering his words. If the old man knew his identity, he might be so frightened that he would come out to receive it at the door.
Seeing Philip remain silent, Wynn looked back and glared at him, asking sternly, "Do you understand?"
"Understand me" replied Philip.
When the two of them entered the private room, Johnston's family and Charles' friends had already gathered. It lives inside.
"Look who's here, Johnston's amazing beauty."
"Wynn, you're late today, so you should drink as punishment."
"Sister Wynn, sit with me."
The crowd excitedly greeted Wynn and completely ignored Philip who was following behind him. He regretted coming now.
Although Philip was used to the Johnston family being cold to him, being ostracized in public was still irritating.
Charles Johnston and his wife, Martha Yates, were sitting at the end of the table, talking cheerfully to the people around them. However, when they saw Philip, Charles gave a cold snort before ignoring him altogether.
This son-in-law is too embarrassing. Not only are there family members here today, but also her friends. If it wasn't for his daughter, Charles would never have let Philip step in.
Just then, the door of the private room was pushed open again and a well-dressed man in a branded full suit stood at the door.
Philip had seen this man once or twice before. The man came from a rich family. His family has a strong background and is an influential group in Riverdale City. This man had also been chasing Wynn for a long time.
