The Charm of the Pirate

The Charm of the Pirate
The Duke Of Roseland

Roseland, Royal Palace. December 1499.

Richard Dexter, he's the Duke of the Roseland. A high-class noble who could not be compared to other nobles. She is the granddaughter of Queen Roseland herself.

Richard was a true nobleman, he had the talent of being a leader. There's nothing he can't do. Riding, archery, hunting, shooting and other difficult things he easily mastered at a young age.

His presence always made others curious. No one knows for sure the Duke's whereabouts. Reportedly he could suddenly disappear and appear anywhere at the same time. Whether it's a story or reality, no one knows it.

"I'm very amused tonight." The queen patted his back strongly.

"You can deceive others with your appearance, Grandma, but your power doubts all the white hair that is already visible on top of your head."

Queen Roseland laughed heartily at the words of her only granddaughter.

"You should be here more often than not, than with."

"But I like it, you know." Richard took a chair and gave it to the Queen.

"of course. You prefer him to me. It feels so lonely."

"So who is this girl?"

"Are you getting interested now?"

"I'm just surprised."

"I didn't think he'd do anything like that."

"That's why you should be here more often."

"Now everyone is saying that you're an old Duke." The queen laughed again very loudly. He kept imagining what people were saying about his old grandson.

"God, I feel sorry for not introducing you in a way more, more what her name is.." The queen remembered the next sentence slowly.

"more honorable?"

"Well, there it is."

"But how did you get there?"

"Actually I'll meet you at that time. But, the woman quickly pulled my hand away."

"A very interesting coincidence."

"I don't feel that way." Richard raised both his shoulders at the same time.

"Where are you going after this?"

"I will visit the nearby villages first. Then comb the village that is more remote."

"How long does it take this time?"

"Maybe about 1 to 2 weeks."

"After that?"

"You know where I'm going to be." Richard showed off his neat and clean rows of teeth.

"Hmmm..." The queen shook her head.

"Do you still suspect your uncle?" He looked at his grandson sharply.

"Of course." Richard didn't say anything more.

Both of Richard's parents had died in accidents. The horse-drawn carriage that they were riding fell into the abyss. No one knows for sure how this happened. Richard was 13 years old, this was the 7th year of the death of his parents.

"Rest for the moment."

"Your room hasn't been filled in for a long time." The queen hugged Richard tightly.

Richard kissed her on the cheek, then left her.

The room he hadn't been to for a long time, was probably about 1 year or 2 years. Richard hadn't counted in a long time. At first it was only a few days, then a few weeks, after that it was a few months and it didn't feel like it was almost 2 years.

The room was very spacious only to be inhabited by one person, with a dominating golden color. On the wall hang paintings that are very expensive, some Persian carpets and urns of historical relics. All of this was her grandmother. There was not a single valuable item in his eyes, except the portrait of his Father and Mother neatly lined up on his desk.

Richard kept the mask he used tonight. The mask is black, the only mask that only covers the top and is black. He still remembered the woman who suddenly kissed him, the woman wearing a copper mask, with a nude fur on top.

"The old granny must have been so happy to see me humiliated like that."

"It's lucky this time to have a party with a mask." Mumbled.

Richard took off his clothes, then replaced them with a white shirt and black pants, he climbed on his bed that looked very comfortable.

"I haven't slept in a comfortable place like this in a long time."

Smelled a faint scent of lavender from the top of his bedsheet.

"Grandmother has not changed."

Lavender is the favorite flower of her mother Richard, the late Princess Catherine.

"This place is too comfortable for me. I'm afraid I'll have a nightmare if I feel this way too long."

Not long after, Richard's eyes were closed, and his mind flew far across the dimension.

The next day, Richard had prepared in his riding clothes. He always chose his horse named Kid. His skin was jet-black, his body was full of strong muscles as it often ran across the vast plains. Her hair was long and soft, as Kid was specially always cared for by the stables guards.

"How are you doing today?" Richard asked Joss the stables guard.

"He's very excited sir.."

Joss, open the door quickly.

Not long after, Richard climbed on top of Kid's body and quickly drove off.

The sound of the footsteps of the horse hit the ground strongly, Joss looked from inside the stables with a look of admiration.

"Master is indeed the best horse controller."

At first no one was able to tame Kid. Because he was a wild horse that found the kingdom was rampaging in the land owned by farmers.

However, Richard could easily control it, even a few hours after Kid was transferred to the royal stables.

Everyone was stunned and felt great admiration for the young Duke.

Richard returned after about an hour of riding. His face was full of sweat, but it did not diminish his good looks in the slightest. The sweat ran down his neck. Displaying clear colored water grains.

His entire clothes were wet, he casually undressed on top, some of the maids who had accidentally passed by could not let the beautiful scenery in front of him pass by. They were silent as if they were watching a show.

His white skin turned brownish due to too frequent exposure to the sun. Decorated with flat and strong abdominal muscles make all women who look at him want to touch it greedily, not least with men, but with men, they were very envious of the Duke's body shape that looked strong and beautiful.

"Where's Grandma?" Richard asked Joss who was staring at his stomach.

"Well.."

"Your Majesty is talking to some of the people above you." Joss was so embarrassed that Richard caught her.

Richard handed Kid's harness, then ran through the bush.

After cleaning up, Richard went to see his grandmother who was talking to someone.

"grandmother.."

"Ah, Richard. Come here."

Richard entered the room leisurely.

"Sit down.."

"Include me, this is Mr. Marquess Jasper. Jasper's my grandson, Richard."

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Richard." Jasper smiled at the handsome young man sitting in front of him.

"Jasper, he's a Duke I told you about a while ago."

The clueless Richard simply kept silent and tried to smile.

"Well.."

"So the old Duke's news is a lie?"

The Queen laughed out loud at Marquess Jasper's words.

"God Jasper.. I can't make your only daughter marry an old man."

"Grandmother, what does that mean?" Richard was getting confused, He raised both eyebrows.

"He's the woman's father who suddenly kissed you Richard." The queen patted Richard's thigh.

Richard was shocked to hear his grandmother's words. He looked at the curious face of Marquess Jasper.

"There is no way Your Majesty.."

"How could Sofia kiss the Young Master?" Jasper was confused by what Her Majesty the Queen said.

"That's right Jasper, I saw it clearly from the top of the podium."

The young Duke did not show any expression, Jasper could not guess what he was thinking.

"Then, where is Sofia?" The queen asked out of curiosity.

"Ah, I'm punishing him Your Majesty."

"He's not in Roseland right now."

After quite some time, their chatter ended because Marquess Jasper still had to finish some of her work.

"I'll be gone in the afternoon.." Richard started the conversation.

"Ah, of course you just want to say goodbye." The Queen's face looks sad.

"I love you.." Richard said as he hugged his Grandma gently.

"Be careful Richard."

"So that woman's name is Sofia?"

"Yes." Yeah."
