The Charm of the Pirate

The Charm of the Pirate
Dockside

Ports, Roseland. February 1500.

The Marine ship boarded by Sofia and Elie will arrive at the dock soon.

They will arrive within 1 hour if the wind blows strongly towards the North.

During Elie's sleep in the Cabin, Sofia spends her time with Captain Clark on the Bridge. He learned how to control the ship, getting to know the important parts of the ship and a great place to see the scenery as a whole.

And now, here he is. On the top deck, or the 4th floor. Marine ships are indeed more modern than sailor ships or Pirate ships. So no wonder the equipment looks more sophisticated.

Sofia liked the place she was lying in at the moment. Captain Clark lent her a folding chair, so Sofia could relax even if only for a moment.

He looked at the scene in front of him without a hitch. His mind flew across the vastness of the ocean. Through the sky and wander above.

"Where is Richi now?"

"What meda?"

"I'm starting to miss him.."

There was a sound of people climbing the stairs in a hurry, Elie dizzy looking for Sofia to and fro. He searched all parts of the ship, but could not find them. Luckily, one of the soldiers sees the confused Elie, and leads her to Sofia.

"Gosh, Miss..."

"I'm looking for you, but I can't find you anywhere.."

There was no response from Sofia.

"Miss..!"

"Miss Sofia!"

Sofia was surprised to hear someone call her, then looked towards Elie who was already standing behind her.

"Elie?"

"I've called you a few times.."

"Is my voice not heard?"

"Well.."

"I'm sorry, Elie.." Sofia rubbed the hair blocking her view.

"What are you doing here??" Elie looked around and there was no one here but the two of them.

"Captain lent me this place.."

"Is this place not beautiful?"

Elie looked once more, she frowned not understanding.

"There's nothing here, miss.."

Sofia laughed out loud at Elie's reply.

"sure.."

"There's nothing, Elie.." Sofia shook her head.

"I don't understand..."

"That's it.."

"You don't have to understand, Elie.."

"Well.."

"Come here.."

"What's up, Miss?" Elie walked over.

"Is there nothing you want to tell me?"

"What is it?"

"Like lunch?" Sofia raised both her hands.

At first Elie frowned because she did not understand, but over time her cheeks turned red like overripe tomatoes.

"What's Elie doing?"

"You seem to be hiding something.." Sofia looked at Elie.

Elie took a few steps back and almost fell down.

"Tell me.."

"I won't be angry.." Sofia shrugged both of her shoulders.

"Really?"

"Really, Miss?"

"Yes.."

"After all, I'm a little curious about what's going on."

Elie walked over and squatted down beside Sofia.

"Miss.."

"Don't be upset, OK?"

Sofia nodded in agreement.

"Captain Clark invited me to lunch.."

"He's a little pushy.."

"And I can't refuse it.."

"Hmmm.."

"Then.."

"I don't understand what the purpose is.."

"Could he ask me to bring Miss closer to him?"

"It's not like that Elie, you know better than me.." Sofia breathed out her breath.

"But.."

"I'm a nobody, Miss..."

"Who said you're nobody?"

"You are my family!"

"I will give you a big dowry for your future husband!" Sofia crossed her arms.

Elie was moved by Sofia's words, She couldn't help but hug Sofia tightly.

"You're too kind, Miss.."

"You're too close, Elie.."

"Jeez, I'm short of breath.."

Elie laughed at the expression of her troubled young Miss.

"Well.."

"Maybe you like it?"

Elie covered her already hot face.

"Elie?"

"Really?"

Elie nodded her head.

"God..."

"Since when??"

"Maybe.."

"From the first time I met you, miss.."

"Why don't you tell me anything?"

"Because..."

"At that time I just wanted to find you, Miss.."

Sofia pulls Elie into her arms.

"You always think of me.."

"Thank you, Elie.."

"Miss, I'm short of breath.." Elie tries to relax Sofia's embrace.

The Marine ship docked to the dock safely. The boisterous sound made Sofia feel nauseous. He sat in the cabin waiting for everyone to come down first. Elie tidied up the things they brought quickly.

"Miss, I'm Clark.."

Sofia opened the door quickly.

"Everyone's down, you can get out now..."

"Well.."

"Thank you, Captain.."

"Together, Lady.."

"I'm glad I can help you.."

"Well.."

"Elie seems to like you. You can smile now.."

"Really Lady?"

"Yes.."

"Go to the Mansion if you're not busy.."

"I'll do it! Soon!" Captain Clark couldn't stop smiling.

Sofia follows Captain Clark, and Elie follows behind her.

"Sophia..."

"Sophia...!!!"

There was the sound of someone shouting his name from the direction of the pier. Her voice sounded very familiar in Sofia's ear. He looked around and found a middle-aged man waving his hands towards him.

"Dad?"

Sofia quickly runs, passes Captain Clark and jumps the stairs, almost slipping Sofia. However, He doesn't care. He just wanted to hug his father, Marquess Jasper.

Marquess Jasper smiled very happily. He could not wait to embrace his daughter.

"Sophia.."

"My daughter.." Tears flowed from Marquess Jasper's pelvis as Sofia hugged him tightly.

"Dad..."

"I miss you.." Sofia was crying like a child in her father's arms.

Elie was still standing on the boat, she covered her face, unable to see the heartwarming encounter.

"I'm sorry, Dad.."

"I'm sorry.."

Sofia's tears continued to flow like a river. Repeatedly Marquess Jasper rubbed her cheeks, but was constantly wet with tears.

"Don't cry again my daughter, you'll be sick.."

"Let's go home.." Marquess Jasper clasped her daughter's hand tightly.

Someone patted Elie's shoulder from behind, Elie was shocked and almost fell down, but a burly hand saved her.

"Are you okay, Miss?"

"Captain Clark?"

"Many times I call you.."

"Yet you're busy thinking of something.."

"Well.."

"I'm sorry.."

"I'm so happy to see Miss and Mr. Jasper regroup.."

"I understand..."

"I'm sorry for making you surprised.."

"No, thank you for helping me.."

Captain Clark rubbed his hair back.

"Together, Miss.."

"It seems you've been left behind by the horse-drawn carriage.."

"Will Miss be pleased if I take you home?"

Elie looked confused. On the one hand he's happy that Captain Clark is paying attention to him. However, He did not wish to trouble her with such a trivial matter.

"Sir, you better rest..."

"Also Mr. Jasper's Mansion is quite far away from here.."

"Is that what you're worried about?"

"I'm exhausted?"

Elie nodded in shame.

"No problem, Miss.."

"I can take you.."

"You better not refuse."

"Let's.."

Captain Clark was carrying the things Elie was carrying. He was carrying a heavy bag like he was carrying a feather. Elie was very hard to lift.

"Give me the suitcase.."

"But you've brought the bag, sir.."

"Not a problem.."

Captain Clark carries a suitcase in his right hand, and a large bag in his left.

Elie smiled shyly at the sight of a man who was willing to take pains for her. His heart was very happy, He could not hide his pleasure.

"You're smiling..." Captain Clark looked at Elie.

"No.." Elie rubbed quickly both of her cheeks raised.

"You can't hide that red color, miss.."

"What does it look like?"

Captain Clark raised both eyebrows.

Elie was so embarrassed, he walked ahead of Captain Clark quickly and half-run.
