Roseland, Lilbert Village. December 1499.
Elie was crying. Sofia had already completely disappeared from before his eyes. There's no sign of her existence. Elie had run very fast down the beach, but found nothing.
After it was almost dark, Elie walked quickly to Mr. Gerald's house. He was like a possessed man shouting very loudly in front of his house.
"Sir...."
"Mr Gerald...!!!"
"Open door! Or I'll scream louder! Mr Gerald!!!"
Duk!
Duk!
Duk!
Duk!
Duk!
Elie kicked the door hard.
Gerald would not open the door to his house. Actually, he did not want to deal with Elie anymore, because since this afternoon Elie continued to lampoon him with various questions.
"Where's Miss!"
"Tell me!"
"I'm sorry to let Miss be alone with you!"
"I'll chase him even to the end of the world!!" Elie was shouting very loudly.
"I don't know!"
"You saw it for yourself!"
"He was taken by that goddamn pirate!"
"Whose pirates??" Elie asked impatiently.
"Look Captain Hades."
A bomb like that went off in Elie's head. Body shaken. He just fell.
Captain Hades' name was ringing in his head. He can't move. Elie kept on recalling every rumor she had ever heard.
Torture, rape, murder. Elie could not remember every single detail anymore. He sobbed, imagining his young Miss on a ship full of vile pirates. In the middle of nowhere.
Elie's coming home. The house looks different. It doesn't seem comfortable anymore. He was confused, frustrated, not knowing how to deal with tomorrow. Face Mr. Jasper and face Mrs Rossie later.
All the servants were confused, they did not know what to do. Elie wants to get back to Roseland. But, he recalled his young Miss's message.
"Miss will come back tomorrow or the day after tomorrow..." Mumbled.
All the servants gathered in the middle hall, including the chariot driver.
"How is Elie?"
"We'll wait for Miss, Miss says we'll be back." Answer Elie as she is.
"When is Miss back?"
"Sokay or the day after tomorrow we have to wait and believe." Elie tried to calm down.
"If the day after tomorrow doesn't exist?" Someone's getting anxious.
"We must continue to pray!!!" Elie had started to waver, she could no longer hold back her tears.
I don't know who started it, everyone was crying.
"We have to believe, we will wait for one Sunday, then 2 Weeks, then 3 Weeks. Then after that we'll go back to Roseland if Miss still hasn't come back."
"We have to be sure Miss will be fine."
Elie ended her words, then went into Miss Sofia's room.
Elie stared at a painting still covered in white cloth. He opened it, and the face of a handsome man Elie had seen in Roseland, Richi.
"Miss, what should I do now?" Elie sits looking at Richi's still-imperfect painting.
That day everyone was overwhelmed with grief. The house that has always been cheerful turned into a gloomy one since Sofia's departure.
The first day without Sofia was very long. No one talks all day, everyone busies themselves with obscure work.
Elie walks around Lilbert Village, hoping to find Sofia standing on the beach, but Sofia is nowhere.
The second day was still the same, several servants accompanied Elie around Lilbert Village, still hoping to find Sofia waiting on the beach, but Sofia was not there.
They have been doing the same thing for a week. However, it produces nothing.
Everyone is getting desperate. They asked all the villagers. But no one ever returned after meeting the pirates. Their hope was like being blown away by a very strong wind just like that.
All the servants gathered in the hall. Elie wanted to hear their advice. He does not want to make decisions alone.
"Does everybody have an idea? Or plans? Just tell me? Really, I can't think straight." Elie lowered her head.
"Elie, what if we tell the real Miss' identity?" One of the servants gave a proposal.
"You mean?" Elie was confused.
"Don't Mr Gerald not know that Miss Sofia is the Princess of Lord Marquess Jasper?" The waiter explained.
"Well..."
"Could he help?" Elie asked back.
"Maybe Elie. Who does not know the Lord? Everyone knows Mr. Jasper in this country." The waiter was more convinced.
"All right, I'll see him. It's been a very tough week for us."
"May Mr. Gerald listen to me. But, I must bring something that can make him believe. Yesterday I was screaming like crazy in front of his house. Gosh.." Elie regretted what she did a week ago.
The next day Elie rushes to Mr. Gerald's house.
Tok
Tok
Tok
Elie knocked on the door politely. Someone opened it from within a moment later.
"Who are you looking for?" Greet someone in a typical waiter outfit.
"Ah, I would like to meet Mr. Gerald." replied Elie.
"Mr Gerald just left.."
"Go? Go where?" Elie could not hide her curiosity.
"He said he was going to Roseland."
"When will he come back?" Elie's getting impatient.
The waiter was confused to see Elie's suspicious behavior.
"Ah, forgive me.." Elie said back in a polite tone.
"Maybe about a week." The waiter answered tightly.
"Tell the truth! When's he coming back?" Elie could no longer control her emotions.
"You better go, before I call the guards."
Braaak!!!
The waiter closed the door violently.
"God! It sucks him!" Elie cursed in annoyance.
As her ultimate goal is not met, inevitably, Elie returns home with empty hopes. He could not hide the sad look on his face, all the servants knew without asking.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Gerald's not home. Had it been yesterday I would have gone straight away and not delayed it." Elie was about to cry, before a loud clap landed right on her back.
"Miss is fine!" Olin's roommate Elie hugged her tightly.
"I always pray.." Elie hugged Olin tightly.
After another week of being passed by Elie and the rest of the servants without the slightest spirit, finally came the time for Elie to return to Mr. Gerald's house.
He had already composed words that were worthy enough to say.
"Elie, don't be emotional. You must be patient and remember our ultimate purpose." Olin reminded Elie before she left.
"All right.."
Elie is escorted by a horse-drawn carriage coach to get there faster. When Mr. Gerald's house arrived, Mr. Gerald had just arrived at his doorstep, and entered the house. Elie wasted no time, he got off the horse carriage at full speed and ran while calling Mr. Gerald by name.
"Tuuuuan Geraaaa...."
"Mr Geraaaaaald..."
Elie's voice was so loud, that even Gerald who was inside the house heard it.
"Geez!"
"What do you want now?"
Elie adjusted her breathing, she almost fell down from kicking some quite large pebbles. Elie was out of breath from running while screaming. He was unable to say a word other than the sound of heavy breathing.
Hosh
Hosh
Hosh
"Quick say! Or I'll come in and kick you out!"
"Tuunggu.." Elie tried to catch her breath as quickly as possible.
"Aging, Esme is actually Sofia Esmeralda." Elie doesn't want to waste time.
"What's? Whatchu mean?" Mr. Gerald doesn't seem to believe it.
"Miss Esme is Sofia Esmeralda, daughter of Marquess Jasper." Elie's words made Gerald's countenance change.
"Say it again!"
"Esme is Sofia Esmeralda the daughter of Marquess Jasper." Elie shows a picture of Mr. Jasper and Ms. Sofia that she always carries in her clothes.

Instantly Gerald's countenance changed, becoming like someone Elie didn't know. Elie could not guess what he was thinking.
"Yeah..."
"It's my lucky day!" Mumbled Mr. Gerald.
"You're gonna help find Miss?" Elie looks excited.
"Finding Sofia Esmeralda? Of course." Mr. Gerald went into the house without seeing Elie who was still having trouble breathing.
