Sofia's Ignorance

The Ocean, Inside the Pirate Ship. December 1499.

Great waves are constantly rolling. A huge, dark brown wave struck Sofia, millions of gallons of seawater hitting her body in an instant, leaving thousands of grains of sand all over her body.

Sofia kicked her leg to take a breath, but it was all in vain when her whole body was swallowed round by a black and deep trough.

He began to shout, but the salty and murky seawater entered his nose and throat quickly, his breath choked, now He could no longer see the blue sky.

Sofia woke up with cold sweat all over her body, she still felt pain while taking a breath. The fear felt in dreams is still felt today. The thick blanket almost fell to the floor, her lower body exposed just like that, Sofia still did not care.

He looked around, grateful that it was all just a nightmare. However, his relief was only for a moment, now he remembered where he was. Sofia holds back her tears from falling, she begins to miss her Father, Elie and Roseland.

A bitter reality began to approach him. She starts biting on the tip of her nails, which Sofia does when she's nervous and thinking hard.

How can he get off this pirate ship. How can he survive without any shortage of body parts. How can he return as soon as possible and meet his father. Sofia thought hard.

He tried to get out of bed carefully, learning from the mistakes he had made before. Sofia doesn't know where and what time it is. He tried to stick an ear to the wooden wall and steal the conversation.

Sofia groped the walls slowly, unwilling to cause chaos and made Captain Hades or anyone else enter the room again.

Sofia's vegetables heard the sound of bells ringing 7 times. That's all it sounds like. The sound of water and ship friction made Sofia unable to hear anything.

This time, Sofia walked towards the door, she brought her earlobe closer and tried to concentrate.

".....an island is seen."

"Get."

"He'll be back today." I heard Ben's voice.

Sofia moved away as fast as she could from the door when she heard footsteps approaching, she jumped on the bed like a cat and covered her entire body with a blanket.

Clack

The sound of footsteps approaching.

"What do I call you?" Ben's voice was behind the blanket.

Sofia drops the blanket and looks at Ben.

"Essme. My name is Esme." Sofia answered nervously.

"Esme's name is too good for you. You should be called Coquine *just bad."

"Basic jerk!" Sofia throws the pillow again.

Ben laughed out loud at Sofia's behavior, he left and did not forget to lock the door.

"Basic fucking pirates!" Umpat Sofia is upset.

The speed of the ship was noticeably slowing down, heard the screams of several people on the upper deck. Sofia can tell that one of them is Ben. His voice was special, so heavy.

Sofia was curious where she was, she tried to peek through the keyhole, but all she saw was a few feet passing by. He was getting bored, now that he remembered, he had not eaten anything since morning, and now it looked a little dark outside. How long has Sofia spent on this ship.

Not long after, there was the sound of someone he knew, which always made him flutter when he remembered his name. Sofia tried to peek again, now it was seen that someone was standing in front of the door.

"You're back? Have you finished?"

"Not everyone, I'm getting bored on the ground. What do you want to show me?"

"Something very interesting." There was a sound of people laughing, Sofia guessing that voice was the voice of Captain Hades.

"Why is it locked?"

Sofia leapt back in surprise, the doorknob suddenly moving up and down.

"Ben locked it, he didn't want this little cat to run away." Captain Hades was still laughing.

"Ben, come here.."

There were footsteps approaching and opening the door.

Clack

"So, who's that poor thing hiding under your thick blanket, Hades?" Richie was curious about what he saw.

"You'll find out soon enough.." Captain Hades walks out leaving Richi and Sofia.

Richi approaches the bed, putting his hand on the thick blanket that covers Sofia. Sofia's heart rate is pounding so fast, she's afraid Richi will hear it.

With a single pull, the blanket that covered Sofia slipped away. Richi is very surprised by what he sees, so is Sofia.

It appeared that a petite girl with a half-naked body was staring at him in surprise and without fear.

There is no sound between them, with Richi quickly picking up the blanket and covering the exposed part of Sofia's leg.

Sofia closed it tightly.

"We meet again." Richie started the conversation.

Sofia's tongue felt Kelu, She could not say a word, but there were so many questions that came to her head.

"What's your name?" Richi asks again because there is no response from Sofia.

"Itsme." That's the only word that came out of his mouth.

"Essme? Is that a first name? Or a middle name?" Richie asked again.

Sofia said nothing. He doesn't want anyone to know who he is, including Richi.

"Alright, Esme. Welcome to Hades' ship." Richi smiles.

"Do you know that you were the first woman to enter this room? In fact, you were the first woman to set foot on this ship?" Richie explained.

"You're bragging! Everyone says that you kidnapped dozens of girls!" Out of nowhere the courage came from, Sofia's tongue couldn't stop saying. When he woke up, he closed his mouth.

Richi who heard Sofia's words laughed out loud.

"I thought you were scared, but you were brave enough to talk."

Sofia could not take her eyes off Richi's face. All the things about her made Sofia pound uncharacteristically. The conscious Richi Sofia continued to look at her, deliberately bringing her face closer towards Sofia, Sofia was startled and retreated back quickly.

"You're beautiful, just like your name, Esme." Sofia's heart was pounding so fast, she wanted to hide her face as quickly as possible, Sofia didn't want Richi to realize her nervousness.

The sound of footsteps approaching, seen Captain Hades is being heard while opening the door.

"How's the reunion?" Hades asked, pretending to be curious.

"Nothing special." Richi smiled cynically.

Sofia's heart ached despite hearing Richi's words a little.

"Ah, have I told you? Where did Ben find this girl?"

"What do you mean?" Richi's curiosity begins to arise.

"Ben, find him with Gerald on the beach." Hades said casually and without expression.

Suddenly the look on Richi's calm face turned surprised and angry. His neck was tense, Richi clenched her hands and clenched her teeth tightly.

"Bring this woman into my room!" Richi exits the Captain's cabin and closes the door hard.

Captain Hades' lips revealed a suspicious smile, Sofia did not understand what was going on.

"Miss, you're gonna move rooms." Hades laughed again and left Sofia with a million questions.
