The New Beginning

Roseland, Lilbert Village. December 1499.

They enter with great enthusiasm. Elie hummed cheerfully through the door of a fairly large house. The living room looks very beautiful with some sky blue ornaments. Ivory colored sofa looks beautiful and comfortable once occupied. A hanging portrait makes Sofia stop her steps.

His heart was beating fast. It looks like a young woman and a man she knows very well.

Marquess Jasper and her mother, Rossie. Sofia looked at the portrait for so long. Trying to recall the memories with his mother, but he did not find them at all. All the good memories turn into bad memories as Sofia tries to remember them.

"Elie's.."

"Let this painting down." Sofia then walked back into the room.

Elie is sad to think back to the Mistress she served, now Elie must replace her to look after Sofia.

"I'll put it down, Miss.."

Then Elie called some servants and asked him to keep the painting in the warehouse.

Sofia finds her room, located on the upper floor, facing directly towards the sea. The breeze was blowing pretty hard. Sofia swiftly took out all her painting sets. I can't wait to find new inspiration here. Not forgetting that he was carrying Richi's painting among some of his paintings, he did not want his father to find the painting in his room in Roseland.

"I need to feel comfortable in this place."

"It looks like this place will be fun." Sofia murmured.

Sofia's house is adjacent to another house, only limited by a wooden fence that is high enough, so Sofia can see the activities of her neighbors from the top of her room.

It was seen that some small children were running after the kite, and some teenagers were forming a play group.

The atmosphere of the environment is quite crowded, this will make Sofia learn to adapt to society.

The other houses are inhabited by elderly couples. They have a waiter who helps them with their daily tasks.

There was a nobleman living in Lilbert Village, he managed various kinds of property and land to grow crops. Everyone knows him very well, he is a philanthropist.

After cleaning up all the luggage, Elie made a lunch for Sofia. She cooks beef and a wide variety of other dishes that Sofia loves.

Sofia looks so happy to see the dining table full of dishes she likes. After a few days, eat only bread and milk.

"Miss, we'll visit all our neighbors." Said Elie suddenly.

Sofia who heard was surprised, because she had never done that before.

"Welcome?"

"Rubber, we'll greet our neighbors here."

Marquess Jasper asked Elie to teach her how to socialize. So, that's what Elie's doing right now.

"We're going to do it now? Today?" Sofia looks reluctant to leave.

"Oh.no, Miss. We'll do it tomorrow or the day after. Your body needs rest.."

"Ah, fine if so. I'm gonna take a little nap. My back feels sore." Sofia went back to her room.

Sofia walked straight to her bed which looked very comfortable. But before dropping his body, he checked first afraid that the mattress was thin like a mattress in the inn.

"Ah, thank goodness this mattress is very thick and will be very comfortable to use to sleep."

Sure enough, he's fast asleep. So skip dinner and wake up at dawn.

Sofia blinked her eyes a few times. It's still very dark outside. Not even the sound of crowing chickens was heard. His whole body was very painful. He was massaging his back and waist.

"Ah.really. Does Elie have a cure for these aches?"

Sofia goes down the stairs and goes to Elie's room.

"Elie..." Sofia peeked into the room.

It looks like Elie is still sleeping soundly without a sheet of blanket covering her body.

"Thankfully I understand. You're lucky to have me Elie." Sofia opened the closet and took out a thick blanket, then enveloped Elie slowly.

"I have to ask you tomorrow morning." Sofia leaves Elie's room.

He took a walk inside the house, trying to get to know the place he would be staying for some time. Because her father promised to pick her up.

Sofia opened the exit. Outside, there is already beginning to be visible sunlight even though only a little.

He walked into the backyard. Seen the sea is still gray. The birds are flying above it. Some fishing boats just returned after sailing all night.

"I'm beginning to miss Lake Ble and the lotus flower on it." Sofia Murmured.

The wind felt increasingly cold piercing his skin. Sofia was not wearing any warm clothes. He hugged his body tightly.

"I should have worn it earlier."

Sofia runs into the house, not wanting to surprise Elie for not finding her in bed.

After the sound of chicken, there was a knock on the door.

"Yes, Elie. come in."

Elie opened the door and walked over to her young Miss.

"Elie, do you have any medicine that can make my body feel better? As you can see, my back and waist hurt a lot." Sofia looks at her waist.

"Ah, I don't have any medicine. But have a miss's ointment. This warm ointment will relieve the pain."

"Is that so? Bring it here."

Elie came out and came back with a small maroon-red box, measuring 5 cm. Elie gives the box to Sofia. Sofia sniffed it, smelling lavender and mint flowers when it opened.

"Must be smeared, Miss.."

Sofia looks doubtful, but she knows Elie won't let her down.

He began to put his finger in the container, it felt cold and soft, then poked a little and began to wrap it around the waist. Her waist felt warm, Sofia gently scowled and smiled.

"Better.." he murmured.

Elie is glad her ointment can help Sofia. Because he used it last night so his body feels fine now.

After rubbing all over her body, Elie massaged her slowly. Sofia closed her eyes and fell asleep just like that.

Elie couldn't bear to wake her up, she came out on her tiptoes and prepared breakfast.

The sunlight directly hit Sofia's eyelids, inevitably she closed her eyes with a pillow that was nearby.

His cold body was now warm. He kicked the blanket Elie was wearing.

Sofia yawned a few times, her hair was a mess. He held his back and his waist. Now it doesn't hurt and sore anymore. Sofia smiled.

He tried to gather all of his energy and dispose of the remnants of his lazy poison. Moving all of his fingers and toes together, then shouting.

"Yyyyyyyy...."

"Yyyyyyyy...."

"Think better." Mumbled.

Elie who heard Sofia's scream ran straight from the kitchen, she entered without knocking on the door and saw Sofia sitting on her bed.

"What's wrong Miss?" Elie looked pale from running so hard.

"No, there's no. I'm just throwing away my laziness." Sofia lifted both her shoulders.

"Ah, I was very surprised. Let's have breakfast.." Elie walked out and closed the door slowly.

Notes :

Lilbert Village is located very strategically because it is flanked by mountains and oceans so the air tends to be fresh.

The main occupations of the population are Fishermen and Gardening. There are many vegetable gardens and tea gardens. They sell their crops and fish from fishermen to the nearest town at a fairly high price. So the economic situation is very good.
