A Long Journey

The next day the whole community of Roseland was in an uproar with the incident last night. No one does not know the tragedy, even some people exaggerate. They say that Lady Sofia forced and kissed an unknown man ferociously.

"What a fuckin' guy."

"Then, what was the fate of the old Duke that he was about to marry?"

"They said that the old Duke was disappointed and cancelled his marriage."

"really?"

"What is the fate of Marquess Jasper now?"

"Surely he fell poor."

"Good, that's terrible."

"that's tragic."

The news reached Marquess Jasper. He did not expect the news to spread so quickly. Even now all his employees know about the incident.

Since last night until now, Sofia continues to confine herself in her room. He refused to eat his favorite food.

Elie who continued to pay attention to Sofia was worried. She could not remember when her young Miss refused to eat a cake made especially for her. Cake with a lot of strawberries and berries in it.

"Miss refused to eat since this morning."

Inevitably Jasper went upstairs and entered his daughter's room.

His father opened the door slowly. It looks like Sofia is painting on it.

"How are you feeling?"

Jasper stroked her son's hair gently.

"I'm fine Dad."

"Well, what really happened?"

Sofia was speechless, she hesitated to tell the truth, but her father kept staring at her. It was as if she would not get out of there before Sofia told me.

"They said I'd marry an old Duke."

"What?"

"Who said it?"

"Lady Amber."

"You believe it?"

"No idea, but people believe it."

"Bas on the gossip."

"Because it's been like this, there's nothing we can do."

"And the truth is, you're not going to marry an old Duke like that woman said."

"Is that so?"

"Of course."

"But now it's better to forget about the marriage problem."

"I don't want my only daughter who I love so much to be sad."

"Thank you Dad.." Sofia hugged her father tightly. A few drops of tears fell on his father's shoulders.

"Don't cry."

"We'll be fine."

They continued to talk until the sound of Sofia's starving stomach sounded.

"Ah, I'd better call Elie."

"I'm sorry.." Sofia still felt regretful, but her father just smiled and closed the door to her room.

Not long after that there was a knock on the door.

"Miss, it's Me.."

"Come on Elie."

Elie enters with a tray full of Sofia's favorite food.

"I'm so hungry, thank you.."

Elie is happy to see Sofia's appetite back. She kept watching her voracious young Miss eat all her food.

After all the food was almost gone, Elie could not bear to ask.

"Miss.."

"Hmmm.."

"I'd like to hear that phenomenal story firsthand.." Elie squeezed her hands tightly.

"Well.."

"Is the story now the legend of Captain Hades?"

"Everybody's talking about it, miss.."

"But I want to hear directly from the source.."

"Bas with you this.." Sofia pinched Elie's cheek in anxiety.

"Ok, listen carefully because I won't repeat it."

"Of course, I'm ready."

"All that's right, I kissed an unknown man."

"Have you? Just like?"

"Yes, just so."

"But, unfortunately, he's gone."

"You didn't see her face Miss?"

"Haloooo, we're wearing masks."

"Ah of course." Elie looked disappointed at Sofia's reply.

"Miss, have you packed up yet?"

Elie's sudden question left Sofia confused. He frowned then scratched his non-itchy head.

"Packaged?"

"Master didn't tell you?" Elie becomes confused by Sofia's reaction.

"About what?"

"We're moving Miss.."

"We're moving to Lilbert."

Lilbert is a remote village, close to the sea. There are many villages nearby. But the access must be taken long enough, about 3 days 2 nights from Roseland.

Lilbert is one of the thriving villages, yet there are luxury boutiques like in Roseland. There are only small shops that provide daily necessities.

Marquess Jasper has decided to have Sofia temporarily stay at Lilbert. Marquess Jasper did not join Sofia because she had to take care of a lot of work in Roseland. Only Sofia and Elie as well as a few servants would stay in Lilbert.

Sofia was very surprised to hear the news. He didn't expect his father to go that far.

"Miss, maybe this is for your good."

"We'll be back after the rumors have died down."

As Elie said, Her father immediately told her after she finished eating and went downstairs. Some of the horse carriages were ready and filled with items that would be used later.

"Be careful on the street."

"Dad will be there after finishing the job here."

"Did you throw me out now?" Sofia refuses to part with her father.

"No way dear."

"Just be.."

"Don't be naughty."

"I don't want to get away from you, Dad.."

Sofia could no longer hold back her tears, she had never been far from her father until recently. His father was the only family for him.

Since then, he has refrained from crying. However, when the time will be separated, it feels like his chest feels crowded, so that all his emotions overflow just like that when he looks at his father.

Marquess Jasper hugged her daughter tightly, she loved Sofia very much. It was a heavy thing that he had to choose. Jasper wants Sofia to develop into a strong and courageous woman.

Reluctantly Sofia took off her father's embrace, then kissed the old father's right and left cheeks.

"I'm going Daddy.." Sofia waved her hand and then entered the horse carriage.

Jasper remained standing until the horse carriage disappeared in the distance.

After a few hours of walking through the cozy streets, the real journey began. The longer the road gets steep and rocky. Sofia was thrown here and there, Elie held her firmly so as not to fall.

It was getting darker outside, not a single light was visible. There are only trees that are very close together so that the sunlight has entered into the cracks.

No one spoke in the carriage, only the sound of soft breaths was heard.

The longer the sound of crickets and other night animals that have started to come out of the nest.

"Elie's.."

"Is it still a long time?"

"It's not half way, miss.."

"The journey will still take 2 days."

"We'll rest in a few hours."

"There's going to be lodging there."

Sofia took a long breath. This was a tarlama's journey his entire life. His butt and back are really hurting. He accidentally bumped his back when the horse carriage turned sharply a moment ago.

As Elie said, the horse carriage was speeding slower. Then it really stopped.

"Let's get down, Miss."

Sofia came down slowly. He massaged the affected part of his back and his legs felt very sore.

He breathed very fresh air. This place looks comfortable. Large, shady trees surrounded him. There was a small swing in front of the cottage, a girl was riding it and was swung by a bigger boy.

As the sky grew darker, Sofia rushed after Elie. Now his legs feel tingling because they sit too long in the horse carriage.

Arriving in the room, Sofia immediately dropped herself on a mattress that looked very comfortable.

Brawny

"God..."

Elie who heard the scream immediately ran over and approached Sofia.

"Miss.."

"What's wrong?" Elie's face looked very worried.

"No, it's okay.." Sofia scrunched her ass which was now hurting.

The bed looks comfortable but it is not. The mattress is thin like a hole-cover board.

"Rest Miss, I'll prepare dinner."

Elie walked out and closed the door.

"My whole body feels crumpled."

"It's worse than that night's trip to the Pirate's tavern."

"Can I last 2 more days?"

"Hopefully my whole body will be in one piece."

Being so tired, Sofia fell asleep just like that after finishing her dinner. In fact, her dress was still attached to her body. Elie deftly replaced it with the camisole that Sofia usually wears during sleep.

Notes :

The country of Roseland is quite large, so it has several separate islands.

Lilbert Village is one of the remote villages, located close to the sea.
