The journey continues. The children and Driyad continued their footsteps towards a residential area not far from where they rested.
The journey they take and go through is getting heavier. A road that has no end.
They have gone through a great river, a small river. Canyons, hills, valleys, giant orchards to the attacks of the mosarus is quite an experience of a lifetime.
"Where are we going?" Jessica asked first.
"Eitherway! Only Driyad knows!" Sean just followed Driyad's footsteps. He did not ask where Driyad would take them away.
"Population settlement," said Driyad straightened out Jessica's question.
"Aren't you too far from here?" Jessica asked back. "I mean, is it still a long way to that settlement." He corrected the previous question, this girl misspoke.
Driyad glanced at the girl walking parallel to him. "It takes a whole day to reach the city directly adjacent to Saranjana."
"That long?" Jessica doubted it a little.
Driyad. "Yes... It was also the shortest street I have ever met. It would take at least three or four days to get there through the usual pedestrian walkways."
For Driyad this is the shortest road among all roads, but for Jessica this journey is at least still far away. Takes a long time to travel. "Mr Driyad," Jessica whined. "Is there no other way closer to the settlement."
"Actually there is," Driyad answered briefly. "There's a faster way to get to the residential area."
"Where's that? Show us that way so we can get there soon." Yudhar grinned at them.
"Hey.... Should I have asked that? Why did you ask first." Jessica did not accept it, especially Yudhar attacked the question he would ask.
"But my mouth asked first!" Yudhar.
Jessica could only hold back her anger. He was annoyed, the boy continued to interrupt his words. No matter who asked first, for Driyad it was the same.
"But, the terrain that will be passed is very dangerous" Driyad told. "There are so many threats we'll encounter if we go that way." Driyad was very sorry for the road they were going on.
"I think it's a challenge" Jessica said boldly. "Hows it? Sean's! You agreed to go down that path?" He elbowed Sean hoping the boy was on par with him.
Sean rebuked Jessica who spoke carelessly. "That joke!" Sean then snorted his breath like a horse. "Do you think this journey is like a mountain-climbing journey." Sean said ketus.
"Yes.. At least I like the place," Jessica denied with a shy laugh. She rubbed her facial skin, Jessica mupeng back then. "But? Who knew that place was so beautiful from where it was before." Jessica continued speaking.
Sean then reminds Jessica of their plan. "Remember Edward!" He confirmed his words. "You know that. You know if we go inside this weird place because we want to find Eed. You must understand this situation."
"okay! Okay fine! I-i understand. And stop talking to you. I don't want to listen to anything anymore." Jessica answered a little. He's upset because he was picked up by Sean.
"Ehm..," Driyad pretended to be coughing. He wanted to interrupt the small commotion of the two children. "Actually, not the path we will go through, nor the path suggested by Jessica. Both are equally dangerous."
"Dangerous." Hearing Driyad's words, Sean looked at him confusedly. "Why didn't you say that in the first place? Know that we'd better not get into this town." Sean spoke rather sensitively, let alone the search point his best friend had yet to find results.
"Hey man! Control yourself" Yudhar tries to calm Sean down while embracing him.
"No Sean! That's not what I mean," Driyad understood this situation. He tried to calm the boy down. "You misunderstood."
"Misunderstand me" said sean. "Then what do you mean to bring us into this city? You want to show us that this city is so amazing!" Sean can't control his emotions. Sean's language style is different than before.
"No Sean. You just don't get it yet" Driyad said as he tried to understand Sean's character.
"Ununderstand?" Sean was fed up with this endless journey. He could not think of what danger he would face in the future. "Yes! I don't understand your sluggish attitude." Sean's emotions had already soared.
He couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to act stupidly towards this city. "Dward!" Sean called his best friend's name. "It was only Edward who made me come to this place." He said a little annoyed. "There's no other reason for me to enter this place. You're the one who brought us to this place." Sean pointed at Driyad, slightly burning his emotions.
"Sean! Take control of yourself" Jessica tried to calm the child's emotions.
"How can I calm down" Sean denied Jessica. "Eed alone don't we know what it's like? Is he okay or is he in danger? Who knows." Sean said that because he was worried about Eed. "And one more! If Eed wasn't in this place, do you know the consequences we'd face." He told Jessica. "We can't go back to the human world. Don't you know this, Jessica. How many times have we encountered all sorts of dangers."
Jessica understood very well that Sean could no longer stem his desire to meet Eed. "Yes, Sean. I understand your concern." Jessica relented, she was sympathetic to Sean. "I understand what you mean. Even if Eed could not be found in this place, then only regret would end this adventure," Jessica began to give up thinking.
"And one more!" Sean continued his words. "The danger we face and many times maybe we can get through all this because we are in groups. Let's see Eed. Don't you feel that he's now freaking out with a much more gripping situation!" Sean offended Edward. He imagined what would happen to his friend. "We don't know how he could deal with such a difficult situation." Sean told their story earlier. "And, a winged creature with a monstrous muzzle? I can't imagine what it would be like if the boy met them. Is it unthinkable to you how things are."
"I understand Sean meant you," Jessica replied in a neutral manner. "But" the words were not yet fully finished, Sean grabbed him by continuing his speech that was cut off by the girl.
"I will not go with Driyad to that city!" Sean said firmly. "I'm going back to the border. I'm not sure Eed's here. Even if he's in this place, there's at least a trace of Eed we can find." And maybe the annoyance hit made sean turn back his body, moving away wanting to leave the three.
"Sean! Where are you going!" Jessica squealed raising her voice.
Sean didn't care about Jessica's screams. She still passed leaving Jessica and the two strange creatures next to her.
"What should we do?" Jessica glanced at Driyad.
"Let him calm himself first. His emotions are unstable" Driyad replied. "He needs time to think clearly."
Yudhar stood between the two, he was considered a stone, maybe so they did to him. At least Yudhar would never understand what the two were saying.
"What kind of drama are they talking about. I don't understand" Yudhar said, clueless at Sean and Jessica's little argument.
Yudhar is after Sean. He was inspired to do just because he could not bear to see the child moping. "Hey buddy! Come on, don't act like that. Not good for your emotions." Yudhar equalized his footsteps as fast as Sean's. "Come on, it's not time to be this selfish."
Sean glanced at him at a glance, he knew that the boy would never know the position he was facing. "No need to entertain me! I'm fine."
"OKAY. You're really fine. But you have left your two best friends in the middle of the forest. You know, this place is dangerous."
Sean had indeed left Dryad and Jessica just like that. Because he was upset that he didn't find Edward immediately. While Jessica and Driyad can only look at the back of the child who was sulking.
"She's a little childish," Jessica sneered at Sean.
