The Adventure Of Lord Lausius

The Adventure Of Lord Lausius
Episode 102's

The sound of splashing water on the cliff that is several meters high, inviting coolness. Ah, but the carcass is destructive. The human carcass that is not far from this small waterfall is very stinging, shedding nose hair when inhaling it.

"Hurry up Sean, you light that candle. I can't breathe this foul scent anymore" Jessica complained. This girl was really unable to inhale the scent that made her hold her breath for a while.

"Wait a minute, I'm trying" Sean said. He was lighting a fire from a rock. There were no modern lighters, only stones that could be used by him at that time.

"Oh, I'm tired of all this," Jessica sighed.

Gordon sneaks at Jessica's similar behavior to her. The impatient behavior. The man becomes the observer. Folding his hands on his chest, leaning his back on the rock of the waterfall. There is a small uphill road leading to the waterfall, but it is cut off because there is a waterfall that is rushing. There was also a stone there, a kind of barrier wall between the small path with a waterfall.

Meanwhile, Sean was busy with stones to light the dry twigs. A few moments after that, the fire started. This is what the two have been waiting for. Sean's skill in making fire was indeed at the highest level.

Even though Sean is a city boy, who would have thought. Even Jessica had doubted the city boy who was an expert in the forest. Not only was he an expert in making fire, he was also good at everything. He's a genius, Sean deserves a thumbs up.

When Sean put a small candle on the golden disk. Both of them were looking forward to this. "Hopefully my guess is correct" said the worried Sean.

If it is, then it is the exit. If it's wrong, maybe Sean's guess is not right. But Sean's prediction was always right, Sean tried to be sure even though he was worried about the exit of the village.

Put the small candle-filled dish in the artificial pool. The good thing is, the ponds are the result of grunt and dam residents. So that the waterfall does not flow directly, but accommodated. There are plugs on the bridge that are less than two meters long.

The two people who were paying attention to Sean, now wore anxious expressions of hope. What if it doesn't work? Jessica thought so.

Jessica was doubtful about Sean. Although Sean never failed, but this time the anxiety brought Jessica a little prayer in her heart.

And, that happened. Suddenly.....

SRUK!! The small road-covering barrier stone in the waterfall was open. The flowing waterfall also suddenly stopped. Yeah, that exit there really is that waterfall.

"You right, Sean?" scream Jessica. His mouth was agape, uh this kid was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. His best friend's guess is right, it's the exit the spirits mean. "You're right. It's like the way out!" jessica is now starting to believe that hard work is actually paying off.

"Wohoooo...... You're great, son," praised Gordon. He's stroking Sean's hair back. The boy really cannot be doubted. "Let's go in. Let's see if this is the way out or not."

Sean grinned a little smile. He was just like those two people. Equally unsure if there is an exit behind this waterfall.

When the barrier stone opened, it actually looked like a cave, but it was dark. Lucky a moment before they found a streetlight. So that this dark place can be illuminated. Actually, this is a small cave whose entrance is about the size of Gordon. As they walked along this small cave, it was not too long, but very short.

Perhaps the distance between the entrance and the exit from the mouth of the waterfall was only tens of meters away. In front of them it looked like there were rocks. There is a free world, and...... Um, it turns out they showed up on a cliff. In front of them again was a cliff separated by a ravine. And...... They found the forest again. The forest....... The glow.... Yeah, it's a glowing forest. Everything across the gorge is beautiful, colorful, even fantastic.

This is the right way out. There was a small bridge in front of them. When Sean looked to the right. There was a huge stone pillar standing right on the edge of the cliff. The stone is strange. Sean approached him, on the surface of the stone there is a carving to form a perfect circle like a labyrinth. Then it gave off a bright red light.

"This rock is emitting light," Sean said in amazement. He touched the light coming out of the stone. "Do you know what this stone is?" ask Sean to Gordon.

Gordon shrugged both of his shoulders. "No idea" he answered. "I've never seen a bright glowing stone like this pomegranate red gem."

"I think this stone has power!" jessica said. He also touched the stone that symbolized it. The lights made them amazed. "What might this stone be the struggle. So as to make the villagers die being oppressed by the Hurians?"

"It could be," Sean agreed. "It is likely that the villagers wanted to protect this stone so that there was oppression against the villagers."

Sean thinks that this way out is not easy to find by anyone but the villagers. They deliberately kept the stone a secret from the Hurians in a place that was hard to guess like this.

Because of the tight secrecy about this stone, it is likely the reason why the spirits point out a path.

But Sean does not take a headache, it's up to the stone to be contested by anyone. He doesn't really care either.

"We'd better get out of here now. We'll have to go through a series of trips that will be tiring later."

The child likes to decide on the imagination of others. Maybe that's his skill.

They passed a hanging bridge. At the end of the bridge is attached and connected to a tree at the end of the cliff side.

The whole forest looks beautiful, many night animals fly around here and there just showing off their beautiful light. All glowing, beautiful, even the leaves are no less beautiful at night.

"Mr Gordon, can you tell me why you're stuck in that village?" said Sean. While walking, it is rather cool to hear the story in the past. Sean likes to listen to stories.

"Nothing interesting" he replied apathy.

"Oh, yes. I think so too." Sean thought he shouldn't have asked like that. This fat man was stingy when Sean was convinced that he had many stories in the past.

Gordon glanced at Sean who was a step ahead of him. The boy seemed to really want to know everything about him. Looking at Sean's face, she somehow felt as if the child had an interest of her own.

"I'll tell you another story about myself" Gordon said. "But I don't want to talk about why I'm stuck in that dead village. Of course you already know why."

"You sure?" Sean's excited.

The man sniffed. Again, he cut his beard. The road that curbs it really makes it look mighty.

"Actually I've been a combat soldier for a long time. Maybe you don't believe I'm over a thousand years old."

"Thousands of years?" Jessica says. He was curious, as old as this fat man. "Have you lived that long?"

"That's the truth" replied Gordon. "Every three thousand years there will be a great war against the Gorts in the arid land. I, who was born thousands of years, have contributed to the war against those who are violent and savage. If I'm not mistaken, maybe more than dozens of times I fought on the battlefield."

Hearing the confession, Sean was not so sure. But he said right. That's the fact that Gordon's thousands of years old. "Then? Have you ever since childhood been used to seeing this great war?" Sean wants to know.

Gordon nodded. "That's why I hate the Gorts and the Hurians so much. They defected, putting more importance on interests over profits. They're working with these disgusting creatures. Therefore, this Trojan war will soon be back in progress. Seven hundred more years of war will come" he said.

"If you don't realize it, you'll take it a long time" he told Sean. "But baby, seven hundred years is not long enough. If in the human world it was a long time ago. But here, it feels so fast."

Ou, Sean feels this place is really full of mystery. Sean was amazed to hear Gordon's explanation of their short time. "Then, since when did you turn into a knight on the battlefield?" ask Sean again. "You look so much mystery."

"Sean," Jessica elbowed her friend. "Why are you asking her past. Isn't that the same as if you're scraping your own story?"

"I didn't mean to" Sean replied whispering softly. "I just want to know."

Gordon who heard the small conversation both did not feel disturbed. The old story keeps him strong.

"I'll tell you my story of being a kstaria on the battlefield" he said kindly telling his past.

Then for a moment Gordon recalled his story.

****

Long ago, thousands of years ago. When Gordon was very young. He lived in peace and security with his parents. In the crowded village is almost not inferior to the crowd of other villages such as the villages of Mouli and Manun.

Children are excited every time the sun rises. Because of the crowded atmosphere, rural children right where he lives with his parents are always enthusiastic when people voice their voices in the village.

Until one day, there was an attack by the vandals of the Hurian. They attacked villagers, burned houses, markets, other crowded places. Killing also oppresses the residents including Gordon's parents.

The man remembered that at the death of his parents, the Hurians mercilessly shackled his parents using a large sword and even slashed the heads of the villagers to bear witness to their savagery.

Not only did they get there, they also collaborated with the Gorts in quelling the villagers. The children are hung at the execution pole, lucky for Gordon he was able to survive after his parents hid him in a small lifeboat.

The sound of suffering, the sound of screams, the sound of people in pain, is now the most painful story for Gordon to remember.

His friends, family, loved ones must die horribly.

Gordon's windy, but what power. He's just a kid who doesn't have any abilities. Until Gordon entered the city of Saranjana. Through a small lifeboat owned by his parents, little Gordon waded through the golden river Mossapus to penetrate the beautiful city.

There he was determined to develop himself, so that he could avenge the death of his parents and two brothers.

Until in the end, Gordon's grudge can not be solved just by killing the Gort alone, but..... They are the Hurians. They— are supposed to be responsible for all this.

Gordon told the story to the two boys. They sat for a while under a large tree. There was a burning fire that accompanied the three of them. Gordon told me what he was like thousands of years ago.

"Why are they doing this war?" sue Sean for an explanation.

"Reason, one. The magnificent city of saranjana. With gold enveloped the city, a bustling place. All the beauty is in this city."

"Hearing your story, that means your grudge against the Hurians is not complete. Do you still hold this grudge?" This time Jessica asked.

This fat man gulped down a glass of water from inside the cup. Chugging him until he felt completely soaked that almost dry throat. "To be honest, my grudge wasn't just the death of my parents and my two brothers. But this grudge also brought my daughter and my poor wife?"

"You have a child?" Jessica couldn't believe it. He thinks he's a man without a housewife.

"They died horribly, just as my parents and my two brothers did" he replied. Gordon looks cute, remembering his past.

"I'm sure you can one day crush those demons" comforted Sean on that sad face.

Gordon patted Sean's shoulder. This kid really made him think of a time where he was once young. "You know. For thousands of years, only this time did I see a tough, brave young Lausius like you. You are different from the other Lausius."

"If I may know, who is Lausius? Why do you always say that to me" Sean said curiously.

"Ehm," Gordon sneered. "Lausius was a descendant of Shutanhamun who was predestined in an ancient book. Mr. Shutanhamun strongly believes in destiny and divination. And everything that has been predicted in us really happens. Where there are a hundred princes of Lausius to be born. Of all these, none of Lausius was long-lived. All died in the Trojan War. And the reckoning in the prophecy of the book mentions a hundred Lausius, but after the prophecy returns. There were only ninety-nine Lausius. As the difference between Lausius and others is, it lies in their charming face. They had blood as bright as a ray, there was a symbol of its own on their bodies, and the only ones who could see it were certain people."

"Then, what does this have to do with me?"

"There is, obviously," replied Gordon. "Lausius was born with an angelic heart. They are pure, white and clean. Their charming paras, able to attract anyone who sees their likeness. And you, one of them. You are probably the last of Lausius."

No," Sean argued quickly. "I'm not the Lausius you mean. Really am. Even my mother only worked in America, my father did. Where could I be as you say."

"You'll know who you are later, son," this fat man chugged his drink again. "If I'm not wrong. You're really the one who's been waiting for it."

"Ah, Mr. bear. Maybe you're wrong about me. I'm just an ordinary teenager, not the Lausius you're talking about" Sean disagreed.

How could he be Lausius who was often meant by the people he met. Honestly, Sean hates to be compared let alone referred to as Lausius who.

"You don't have to think about my words. Maybe I'm wrong, but maybe I'm right too."

"Regard?" sahut Sean's.

"Laustius?" answer Gordon briefly.

"Oh," Sean sighed. "Alagain Lausius. I thought you were saying something else."

Sean turned his face away, the Lausius infuriated him. If he met that Lausius, maybe Sean would have cursed him. He did not want to misunderstand himself and Lausius.
