The room atmosphere became quiet. They are immersed in each other's thoughts. A thought that should not be thrown out through sound.
"The head of the Black Meadow clan will absorb Elaina's energy to the point of being unresponsive. Elaina will be a normal human being. You can imagine for yourself what Elaina will be like after her energy is sucked up to not rest." Bishop can't bear to say the end of Elaina's life.
"He better die." Bree's murmur was heard by David. The athletic man snarled.
"From him live like a ma yat." Brigita immediately chimed in on Bree's remarks. He saw David growling. Brigita doesn't want any commotion right now.
David looked at Brigita blankly. He was shocked to hear Brigita's words. Bree didn't expect Elaina to die. However, it was the best of Elaina to live helplessly. David got up and chose to leave the room. He needs fresh air. Her head and heart ached at the thought of the worst possibility that would befall Elaina.
"I'll catch up with him." Brayan makes a voice to accompany David.
Brigita nodded. Elaina was still deep in thought. He tried to structure every chain of events. It all ends with him.
David chose the balcony as a place to release his fatigue. Hearing the end of Elaina's life has frustrated her. He could not imagine if it really happened.
"There's gotta be a way out." Brayan patted David's shoulder gently.
"How can there be a way out. My father-in-law didn't make a profitable choice." David lowered his head while taking a breath and held it for a while then exhaled through the mouth. He did that so he could hold back the tears he already wanted to spill.
Not wanting to imagine but thinking. How am I supposed to live without you? Is this the price I have to pay for being reincarnated?
"It is not you who are surprised and do not accept. My three sisters and I felt that way too. We have been trying to hide ourselves all this time. Now everything can be lost with just one flick." Brayan put both hands in his pants pocket. He looked straight ahead.
"What if I take Elaina away so far that no one can find her?" Brayan was stunned to hear David's question. He was sure, David could not accept the reality.
"I don't disagree. Try to think! If Elaina can hide it, are you sure the Black Meadow clan won't find her." Brayan explained slowly so that David could accept his explanation well.
David smiled faintly. That's what Brayan said. Hiding Elaina is not the solution. He just slowed it down. Like watching a movie, when you want to go to the restroom of the movie you watched must be paused (discontinued briefly) first.
"I chose the first choice." David said as he patted Brayan's right shoulder.
"Did uncle make a choice?" brayan asked as he looked towards David.
David shook his head. He just praised the young man. Within seconds, it was back to how it was.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Brayan asked the question while turning his body and crocheting on the edge of the balcony fence.
"Brayans. My father-in-law explained. First he said he could help. However, there will be an effect of his help. We'll all lose our memories and I'm still not clear where I'll be. Does it still exist and lose its memory or remain dead?" David said with a blank look.
Brayan exhaled a rough breath hearing David's words. If he becomes David, he will no longer be eager to do anything else. He turned his body against the balcony railing. Put both hands on the fence.
David smiled wryly at Brayan's reaction. He was the only one who heard it so hard to breathe.
"Second choice, we all live. Keep having talent. The world will be full of people who have sudden and uncontrolled talents. It's certain the world will be fucked. It's just that without Elaina in our lives." David's lips trembled slightly as he said the last sentence.
"Oh sh it!" Brayan shouted in frustration. Now he understands David looks frustrated. He told David there would be a solution later. In fact nil. Brayan cursed his own stupidity. Can't catch the uncle's intent properly.
"Yup. It's sh it." David laughed cynically repeating Brayan's curse.
"I've decided. I chose the first one. I can't live without Elaina. It's better that my existence is unclear than to lose Elaina." David was convinced by what he said.
Just finished expressing his opinion, David was startled by the sound of something falling down very hard. David and Brayan immediately turned to the source of the voice.
