Chapter 62. Your Vanguard Dad

"Where do I misunderstand? It's very clear you're avoiding me!" annoyed Elaina.

"Trust me, I miss you too. It's just that the current time isn't right." Elaina breaks away from David's embrace. He was confused when David said the timing was not right. David understood the question Elaina was going to ask. Soon he continued the next sentence.

"Klan Black Meadow is getting closer. I don't think we can buy any more time. Sooner or later they'll find you" explained David as he played the tip of Elaina's hair.

"But Dave, what's the connection?" Elaina half whining. Sometimes David is made up by Elaina's behavior. She can understand it because of Elaina's young age.

"Of course there are," answered David briefly.

Elaina looked at David. He needs a very reasonable explanation because it is concerned with the matter of his household.

"I'm afraid you're pregnant. I don't want to take any chances if you get pregnant and we get attacked by the Black Meadow clan. I don't even want to imagine what's going to happen. Of course you and our baby-to-be are very important to me. For that, I have to fast not to touch you. You know, I'm also very tormented with this kind of situation" David explained at length.

"Oh, Dave! Forgive selfishness. I didn't think I'd get there," regretted Elaina.

"You are innocent. I should have talked to you first." David kissed Elaina's forehead giving her composure.

"How's next?" david asked Brayan.

"We should tell Elaina about her father first. My uncle can't wait to meet him anyway. The sooner the better," Brayan replied.

They are now in David's office. After the crying drama earlier this afternoon, David accompanied Elaina in the room until she fell asleep. Today David decided not to train because of Elaina's unstable condition.

"OKs. I'll talk to Elaina after you leave."

"You kicked me out, huh?" brayan asked while squinting one eye.

"Not that you said the sooner the better!" david exclaimed as he leaned his back against the back of the sofa.

"Ish, you are!" anger Brayan.

"Come over! I've been looking into it" David told Brayan, handing him a laptop.

Brayan approached David. He looked at the laptop screen. There was clearly the movement of the Black Meadow clan. Brayan was amazed to see the work of David. It was well deserved to be his sister-in-law even though David was a few years older than him.

"How did you do it?" asked Brayan in amazement.

David did not answer. He placed his right index finger on his head and moved it several times.

"Hmm, yes, yes, you are a genius" said Brayan.

"He still shut his mouth. The Black Meadow Clan was extremely loyal. Even if they were in a state of choking, they would never open their voices" Brayan explained.

"It's unfortunate that their loyalty is in the wrong place" David said.

"alright. I'm going home now. Make sure you talk to Elaina, "Brayan reminded David before he sped away.

David stared at the watch on his right wrist. It's seven o'clock at night. It's dinner time. David moved from his seat of power. He walked to the main room. Arriving in the room, David does not find Elaina in the room.

The athletic man walked straight up the stairs. He went down the stairs, headed to the dining room. Sure enough, Elaina was already sitting at the dining table.

"I thought you were already in the dining room" Elaina said as she watched David pull up the chair beside her.

"It's okay baby," said David.

They ate dinner quietly. Both are immersed in their own thoughts. Elaina thought about what they would do after dinner. While David thought about how to convey about Elaina's real father.

"What will we do after this?" ask Elaina.

"Darling, there's something I want to talk about" David and Elaina spoke together.

"What do you want to say?" Elaine ... David ...

Again they asked questions together. Cici who was standing not far from the dining table boasted a smile seeing the compactness of her employer.

"Dave ... Honey ... You go first," said Elaina and David at the same time.

"Cie .. cie .. same mistress very compact sir." Cici could no longer bear to hold her mouth to tease her employer.

Elaina's face immediately blushed in embarrassment. He lowered his head so that David could not see his reddened face. If only the Balck Meadow clan had not come, he would have already carried Elaina back to the room. Elaina's blushed face was one of David's favorites. She's so cute if embarrassed.

They finished the last mouthful without speaking. David grabs Elaina's hand, takes her back to the room. Arriving at the room, David asks Elaina to sit on the sofa.

"Honey, I'm not good at starting things with pleasantries" said David.

"A-pa you want to talk about?" Elaina knew there must be something serious. "What's the Balck Meadow clan?" Elaina chimed in on her question.

"No." David grabbed Elaina's hand and clasped Elaina's hands tightly. "Someone very important wants to see you" David said.

"Who?" ask Elaina.

"Your biological father."
