Chapter 52. Painfully

David took a long breath. She tightly hugged Elaina's body as if afraid of letting go. David is afraid of losing Elaina. He tried to rule out the worst possible outcome of his confession. Elaina was still waiting for David to make a sound.

"Do you believe in reincarnation?" ask David.

"I'm confused" replied Elaina briefly.

"Buddy?" ask David. An answer beyond his prediction.

"Yes, I'm confused. I want to believe but what could it be. I can't believe it, but I myself did strange things" Elaina replied as she stared at the night sky.

"OKs. What if we take the first sentence first. The possibility of reincarnation exists. Not likely. But there really is" said David slowly.

"You mean?" elaina asked while looking to the side looking at David.

"I'm reincarnated" replied David.

Elaina speechless. He looked into David's eyes. He hoped to find some seriousness there. However, nil. David was serious about his words.

"You're reincarnated?" only that question came out of Elaina's mouth.

"Yes" David answered briefly.

David deliberately did not explain to Elaina any further. He wanted to give Elaina some time to be able to digest all her words.

"Are you an old man?" ask Elaina.

Elaina's question managed to make David's laughter break.

"No dear," David replied after a satisfied laugh.

"So you're a kid?" ask Elaina plain.

"No. Stop thinking about other possibilities! I'll explain to you. Let's go inside! The night wind was getting strong" David said.

Elaina obediently obeyed David. They walked into the room. David chose the mattress as a place to express his honesty. Short mind. If Elaina intends to escape, she can lock it up in another way.

"It's really talking, right?" elaina asked hesitantly when she saw David patting the mattress beside her to let Elaina lay down right beside him.

"Bad truth" replied David.

"Nothing else is!" Elaina tried to convince herself

"none. This is purely a heart-to-heart talk" David replied with a smile.

He knew what was on his wife's mind. Although he was still furious with the body of the wife, but David knew enough. Elaina slid her body beside David.

David's hand held his head. The other hand held Elaina's hand freely. Then put their hands together.

"A little over a month ago, I was dead, "David just started telling stories.

"Well! So you're a ghost?" elaina asked in surprise.

The girl almost sat down. However, David's hand with preventing it immediately. Elaina's body was lying down again.

"No dear. Listen to me, please!" david Pinta.

Elaina just nodded slowly.

"There was a conspiracy on my mother's part of the family. His uncle and son conspired to finish me off because they wanted to take control of the Benjamins' wealth. They don't accept why I should lead the Benjamins, not my cousin. Though he was a direct descendant of the uncle," David did not want to measure time. He immediately told her the beginning of his reincarnation.

"I believed them too much at the time. Never even considered Uncle Jeff and Theo as allies. I thought all this time, Uncle Jeff was the villain. Until one night I got a phone call from the company. The caller was Theo. He's been gathering a lot of evidence before he called me" David said.

"I saw the cctv footage and some files containing the cheating they were doing. Worse still, the company of Benjamins has turned to their hands. Uncle Arnold surrounded me and Theo. Besides us, they also finished off Uncle Jeff first. While Theo and I were finished off on the shore of Ray Hubbard Lake, Dallas," David said, stalled at the loss of life.

"I died long enough. I could see my body lying lifeless until a flash hit my body. After that, you know where I am" David said, glancing at Elaina.

Elaina seemed to be thinking hard. He tries to digest David's words and remember what David meant. Long enough Elaina was silent thinking until she finally shouted to herself.

"Ah, the towel incident!" exclaim Elaina.

"Right," David answered briefly.

"So you were reborn?" elaina asked in amazement.

"I don't think so either. To be more precise, I was repeating back my life about three hundred and thirty-six hours earlier. Exactly again, two weeks before," explained David.

Elaina looked at her husband's face. He held David's face with one hand. Slowly rubbed his man's face. Elaina's heart ached at the thought of David saying he was dead. He could not imagine how painful it was. Tears spilled through the corner of his eye.

"Why are you crying?" david asked as he wiped the tears that fell on Elaina's face.

"Of course I'm sad. You stupid man!" exclaim David.

"Don't be sad! My story is not over. It could be that you'll hate me when you hear the next story" David explained.

Elaina looked at David confusedly.

"The next story is related to you and the talents you have" David said in a raucous voice.

"What do you mean, Dave?" elaina asked in surprise.

"Darling, I know you have talent or what you call a very unusual behavior" David said.

"How did you know? Do you have any supernatural powers after reincarnation?" ask Elaina.

"No. My sense of hearing is sharper than usual. I think that includes excess after death," said David.

"Where do you know I have so much talent?" ask Elaina.

David said the word talent is not just one time. He said talent, meaning David knows all his talent. Elaina is confused as to where David can find out about all his talents.

"Remember our wedding!" exclaim David.

Elaina nodded slowly. However, the girl was still confused. Especially now that David's speech immediately turned to the wedding.

"Do you remember the three sisters with one brother whom I introduced to you as a colleague?" ask David.

"of course. Their faces are easy to remember. What's wrong with them?" ask Elaina.

"They're your close cousins!" david said slowly but firmly.

Elaina was silent at David's words. He felt that David's words were just a joke. Maybe he has a cousin. It was very clear that neither his father nor his mother had any brothers. So, how could Elaina have a cousin.

He repeatedly denied David's words which he thought were ridiculous. David knows that Elaina doesn't believe him. David is forced to tell Elaina about her biological parents.

"Elaina, baby! You have different parents to Munel and Bintang" said David softly.

David's words managed to make Elaina surprised and immediately sat down. He did not believe what David said.

"Dave! It hurts a lot" Elaina said, staring at David.
