CHAPTER 92 ~ Guest of the Past ~

Looking at the attitude of Radian who was considerate towards Allena and her family. Zefran felt Radian was not just greeting Allena who had not met for a long time and would not briefly visit at his home. Zefran was curious and wanted to know what kind of relationship Radian had with his wife.

Zefran invited Radian to sit on the back porch while enjoying the garden and fresh air.

"It's been a long time, brother? Ever since that farewell night, I've never heard from Brother Radian again" Allena asked in silence.

"Yes right, since the night of the farewell," said Radian.

Allena was actually confused as to what to ask, and it was impossible to ask the purpose of Radian coming looking for her.

"Oh yeah, how did you know that I live here now?" ask Allena.

"Actually I accidentally saw a review of news about you on the Internet. You are now a famous designer. I didn't expect you to have the talent to design fashion when you used to not care at all about clothing models," said Radian.

"Yes sister, the fate of humans no one knows" Allena blushed.

"So why are you alone, I think you come with your family" Allena said.

"I .., have no family," replied Radian then glanced at Zefran.

Zefran heard the sad tone of the man's words. Zefran also saw sadness on Radian's face. Zefran felt there was a special connection between the guest before him and his wife.

May it be that Allena is his hidden love, still hoping to get Allena to the unthinkable to find another substitute, inner Zefran.

But Zefran was trying to stay calm. The man had promised to trust Allena. Although his chest was rumbling, Zefran with all his might held back his jealousy. Eliminate shadows and prejudices regarding the relationship of the two people in the past.

"Then where have you been all this time? I mean after you split up?" ask Zefran.

The man who had been silent since, finally spoke. In Zefran's eyes, Allena and Radian were like they had run out of words. However, there is no way Radian wants to go home.

"I went straight to New York, went to college there" replied Radian.

"Columbia University?" ask Zefran.

"Yes right, so at graduation also immediately got a job offer in New York. If you are alone?" asked Radian who was still a bit awkward.

The man seemed to want to be friendly to Zefran.

"Stanford" said Zefran briefly.

Radian was surprised, but when he found out the Zefran campus, the man seemed to have material to discuss. He was beginning to master the situation. Radian said that some of his co-workers were from the same university as Zefran. 

Some are known to Zefran, some are completely unheard of by name. There was even a fraternity with Zefran. Hearing that Zefran became excited to hear the story of his old friend who had been considered a brother while studying at Stanford University.

Hearing the news about his familiar friends, immediately made Zefran feel close to Radian and vice versa. The man also began to get used to talking to Allena's husband.

Until like forgetting that the previous friend was Allena. Zefran was engrossed in talking about memories of college with his fraternity, who had now become Radian's coworkers.

Radian is sometimes shocked to hear the story Zefran told about his co-workers while still a student. Without feeling they have talked for hours until they even ignored Allena. Only occasionally did Radian glance at the beautiful woman.

"He used to be naive, but he was smart. Can enter the fraternity group because he is an outstanding student. Unexpectedly now to be Don Juan," said Zefran and immediately laughed.

"I'll give you his contact number if you're interested in calling him" Radian said.

"Well, being able to contact him again must be really exciting. Maybe he still remembers me? Maybe one of us still remembers it. Altop, Ronald, Valendino, and me ..." 

"The Four Idiots?" ask Radian directly.

"Yes right, did he ever tell you?" zefran asked increasingly curious.

Radian scratched his un-itchy head.

"He said that since joining the fraternity, he beat the popularity of The Four Idiots" said Radian with a shy smile.

"What's? Just be right! There are, we who are role models in the fraternity," Zefran argued and laughed.

"I think so, too, because every time he talks a little bit The Four Idiots. But never admit that The Four Idiots are his idols" Radian explains.

Zefran laughed as well as Radian, only Allena who was silent did not understand what they were talking about. Sometimes Zefran laughed as he turned to his wife and embraced the woman and sometimes even kissed her cheek. Allena just smiled back at Zefran's friendly attitude.

Then back Zefran chatted with Radian. When they took lunch, they heard the voice of the beautiful woman. Radian refused subtly but Zefran insisted on asking him. Allena is grateful that her husband did not put his prejudice on her upperclassman.

When leaving, Zefran asked the man to come to visit often. Radian who had re-established in Indonesia just nodded while smiling wryly. When the man disappeared behind the gate Zefran immediately cupped his wife's face. Allena frowned in wonder at her husband's attitude.

"Tell me he's not your ex-girlfriend" said Zefran, still cupping his wife's face.

"If she's not your ex-boyfriend" said Allena, who wanted to pass.

"Eh, what is it?" zefran asked, not accepting Allena's words.

"What's? My sister told me to say it, I said it exactly as I told you," Allena said, holding her husband's arms.

"I didn't tell you to repeat exactly as I said," said Zefran, pinched his nose.

Allena smiled in detention.

"He's your ex-boyfriend, isn't he?" ask Zefran in another way.

"No" replied Allena.

"He's your ex-boyfriend, huh?

"Yes" said Allena and immediately laughed.

Zefran buried her face in his arms.

"Please, answer me seriously, baby! I'm afraid of misunderstanding you again" said Zefran.

"All right, all right, but do I have to tell you this story on the porch?" allena asked while taking her husband inside.

Zefran immediately pulled Allena into their room. Allena's husband was very curious about the man from his wife's past. All because of his immense jealousy towards that handsome man. However, Zefran does not want to show it to Allena, for the sake of his promise to himself who will not blame Allena if there is a man who loves him.

"Sir Radian was the Chairman of OSIS at my High School" Allena began the story.

"Oh yeah, that's great for him" said Zefran.

Allena nodded.

"Rubber, but I heard that he didn't want to be the Chairman of OSIS, but the average schoolmate supported him because he was a rich kid. Every school activity that covers the lack of budget activities is the person. But he doesn't want to do anything. All activities are coordinated by the Vice Chairman of OSIS, therefore all know he does not intend to become OSIS because he is basically a ignorant person. But because the members of the OSIS need a sense of security in terms of covering the lack of funds, so he was appointed Chairman," continued Allena.

"Isn't the appointment of the OSIS chairman through the most votes?" asked Zefran.

Damn, he's an idol at school. How does Allena feel about her? Inner Zefran.

Zefran nodded and began to grow jealous of the position the man had held in his school organization.

"According to the girls who like to gossip about him, Radian's sister is cold. Very funny with girls and it makes girls in school so curious …,"

"You too? You're curious about her too?" zefran asked to know Allena's heart.

"Sister, I'm a poor girl, where there's time to think of a guy" Allena said.

"Then how did you get to know him?" asked Zefran curiously.

"When it was Student Orientation, I was a first-grader who had just entered High School. The second day I went to school, my shoes were torn. I had to find the soles of the shoes to fix it. So I'm late for school. I became one of the students who was put to sunbathing in the field until noon. But he came and asked me why I was late for school. I told him about my problem and he let me into class" Allena explained.

"You're saying he's a cuckoo but he's been asking you why you're late for school?" ask Zefran.

"See, but at that time I did not know that his position was Chairman of OSIS. And I heard about his nature after school for quite a long time there" Allena replied.

"Then?" ask Zefran again.

"Well, yes" replied Allena.

"No way dear, he came all the way from New York to meet the girl whose introduction was just that," said Zefran.

"I don't know either, but ever since. A lot of girls thought I was approaching her. I was not at all close to him. Just leaving me brave. Who am I, a student who does not stand out at all. Smart, rich is not. Beauitiful? Many are more beautiful than me. But don't know why they accused me of trying to tease Radian. I don't know where the rumors came from. Many say that I'm dating Radian's sister," Allena said in a voice that grew quieter.

"Don't he like you, the closest people know and spread the hidden feelings to other friends until finally spread the gossip" said Zefran.

"No way, sister, there are many high school girls there who are prettier, more fashionable than me" Allena denied.

Allena is not aware of her natural beauty, for her beautiful is a woman who dresses up and dresses fashionably. Allena dear, but thank God you do not have confidence otherwise you have changed possible girlfriends, inner Zefran and then smile to yourself.

"Then, how did you guys end up dating?" ask Zefran to the point.

"Who's dating? If accused of dating is yes, never met aja not. But when the farewell event did he invite me to come to the event. But I didn't have the confidence to come to that party because I didn't have a dress. But I agreed to come. I only dared to wait for him outside the building. I couldn't ask him to come out either, so I just waited and hoped he'd come out of the building so I could call him. I came there just to thank him for his kindness back then. When he was coming home, before he got into his car he saw me, then came up to me. Uh, she .. she .. hugged me and regretted not getting into the building. She said she was waiting for me, I said I didn't have a dress. But she said, she doesn't care if I'm wearing a dress or not. He had to leave because his mother called him home. He said, since he had been waiting for me, then he also asked me to wait for him. I didn't understand what it meant to tell me to wait again when I was waiting for him outside. Finally we just split up" explained Allena at length.

"She's leaving and you're asked to wait for her to come home and live with her. You're too innocent Allena, but I think now you understand what she means. But it's too late, you realize too late. Maybe you just realized today. You realize what he said when you saw him coming. Because you've forgotten it all along. Today he came to see you, took your promise to wait for him" Zefran said.

Her husband's words made Allena stunned. The woman lowered her head, what Zefran said was indeed true. Today he was shocked when he saw Radian coming. Today too she realized the man's intention of asking her to wait.

"Are you sorry, honey? Are you sorry about the fact that you're married now?" ask Zefran.

Allena gulped, unable to speak.

"Right sister, I'm sorry," said Allena.

The words that instantly broke Zefran's heart.

"But it's not regretful to have been married but it's regretful that she thought I was waiting for her. I regret not realizing the meaning of his words. I regret not refusing her request. If that day I knew what it meant, I would have rejected it. I won't let him think I'll wait for him. Now he must know that all has passed. He should know that I don't understand what he's saying. She should know that if I love my husband, I love my family" Allena said with her chest rising.

With a hoarse voice from sobbing, Allena continued to pour out her heart.

"I don't want him expecting me anymore. Don't you ever think I'm sorry about my marriage. I've had a hard time maintaining my marriage" Allena shouted in a hoarse voice and sobbed.

Zefran immediately hugged the woman he loved.

"All right, I get it. Don't cry anymore, I believe in you baby" Zefran said, hugging his wife tightly and stroking the woman's hair gently.

Allena, I trust you. Now I just need to be careful of that guy. He must be able to accept reality, the girl he loved used to be unable to have anymore, Zefran inner.

Zefran was grateful that day he did not go to work because if that happened. Allena will meet the man from her past alone. Zefran did not know if Allena's heart would be stirred by the kindness of the man who had been waiting for her. A month passed and Allena had forgotten the arrival of Radian. The man never called Allena again.

"Today's coming to work, dear" asked Zefran as he prepared to leave for work.

"Yes sister, I also have to finish the plan for the election immediately" Allena said while breastfeeding her baby.

"Can't it be done at home?" ask Zefran.

"If the design has been done at home but the material selection must be there. I also have to take size. The first day is probably a bit busy" explained Allena.

"Papa's child's love, Mama left all day," said Zefran.

"Sister, if the words are like that, I am not calm working," said Allena sulked. Zefran smiles.

"I'm sorry, I was just kidding. Don't forget the ASI stock that much for Zara yes!" Zefran.

"Okay Papa Zara" Allena said in a discouraged voice.

Zefran laughed, the man was already getting ready to go downstairs for breakfast. Allena soon followed her husband to accompany him to breakfast.

"Good morning Oma" Allena said to Ms. Mahlika's.

"Good morning baby, let's have breakfast. The pretty one has breakfast yet?" ask Mahlika to Zifara.

"Already Oma," said Allena who immediately handed the baby to her baby sitter who had been waiting from earlier.

Allena is back in the fashion company. Marilyn. As soon as it came, Allena was immediately welcomed by all employees, models, photographers and all the crew who took shelter under the famous fashion company.

"Today we have a party to welcome the return of our beloved designer, Allena," said Marilyn.

The middle-aged woman who remained beautiful at a young age was very happy her favorite designer reappeared in her fashion company. To hold a party to welcome the active back Allena in the building. Allena couldn't resist, because of Ms. Marilyn herself wanted to throw her welcoming party.

Mrs. Marilyn understood and allowed the girl to go home sooner than the others.

Allena sat down to hear the funny story of one of the lighting crews. He talks like a comic. Allena laughed when she heard the funny story. Sometimes the woman turns her eyes the other way.

However, this time his gaze was fixated for a long time, his expanding smile instantly disappeared. Allena's eyes turned soft when she saw Zefran who was talking to a woman.
