CHAPTER 47 ~ My Zeno ~

The operating room indicator light is on, a sign that surgery has begun. Allena ran down the aisle of the hospital. Allena who was staying at the hospital accompanied Zefano, suddenly heard her mobile phone vibrating.

The sound of Valendino crying could not even tell a story. Allena was only asked to come, Allena's legs felt weak but when she heard Zefran was currently critical and was in the surgical room her heart wanted to see her husband immediately.

Allena ran straight to the operating room. The girl seemed to want to barge in but Valendino immediately caught her.

"I want to see her sister, let me see her," Allena pleaded for release.

Valendino hugged Allena for the girl to calm down. Altop and Ronald came over.

"There's nothing we can do there Allena" Altop said with a sad look.

The man stared at the room ten meters away from the waiting room. The door was still closed and the indicator light on it was still on.

Valendino asked Allena to sit in the waiting chair. Allena looked very tired, a lot of questions she wanted to ask. However, when he arrived in front of Zefran's best friend the girl actually felt careless.

Valendino leaned Allena on her chest and clasped the girl's hand. Altop sat next to Allena, looking at the shocked girl. Valendino felt Allena's trembling body, the man could feel Allena's fear.

"What's going on?" allena asked very quietly as if asking herself.

Valendino himself wasn't sure the girl wanted an answer. Hearing Zefran get hurt he was already very shocked let alone having to hear the details of the event. The three friends themselves are still trying to calm their hearts which are also still shaken.

Recollects being inside the narrow room that brought them down from the fifty-ninth floor. Zefran pleads with Valendino to take care of the girl he loves.

Zefran stared at the dimmer light from the ceiling of the elevator. No matter if his words were right or wrong, he just wanted to leave Allena to Valendino. The longer his body got weaker like numbness, his body felt cold.

Despite Valendino's strength to hold the wound with his handkerchief but the red liquid was still seeping between his fingers. Valendino refuses Zefran's request, he wants the man to do his own. Love and care for the girl he loves.

However, Zefran could not hear Valendino's rejection. He could hear nothing more but the humming sound and the darkening gaze.

Zefran fainted, his three friends shouting his name. As soon as the elevator opened, Valendino immediately raised Zefran's unconscious body. Altop immediately ran to his car and took him closer to Valendino.

Zefran in the back seat leaned on Valendino who unceasingly held his wound with a handkerchief to seal the source of the bleeding so that the man did not lose much blood.

At first glance Ronald looked back, his tears did not stop flowing, the man rubbed him violently. Turning to stare at the Altop who was driving at high speed.

The likelihood of a puncture wound surviving depends largely on how quickly the victim is rushed to the hospital. Zefran can't lose too much blood.

It must be ascertained that the victim of a stab wound can arrive at the hospital, at least within thirty minutes. Because, if it can not cause the death of tissue in the related limb.

Losing too much blood can lead to bleeding shock. This is an emergency condition in which the heart is unable to supply blood throughout the body due to the lack of blood volume in the body. They don't want that to happen to Zefran.

Altop glanced at the middle rearview, saw Valendino who was downcast in tears and then glanced at Zefran's increasingly pale face.

"Hold my friend soon, I will try my best to save you" said the real Altop to strengthen himself.

Altop wiped the tears with the back of his hand. He did not want to be blocked by the water that always appeared in his eye. The man had to concentrate on driving the car to get to the hospital as soon as possible.

Altop stopped his car staying at the entrance of the Emergency Unit. Ronald immediately ran to call the paramedics, Valendino holding Zefran. Some medical staff with a gurney immediately greeted Valendino and placed Zefran in the gurney.

Run towards the examination room. It didn't take long for the doctor to decide to take surgery. Zefran was taken to the operating room. While walking quickly with the gurney, the three friends did not look at the face of his friend. Again they wiped away her tears. Their bodies and hearts were exhausted but they continued to follow wherever the paramedics took Zefran.

A nurse allows the surgeon to enter the operating room.

"Please wait here" said the nurse stopped Valendino, Altop and Ronald.

The doctor entered the room about ten meters in front of them. Accompanied by several medics who became members of his surgical team.

There was nothing else they could do but surrender, pray and wait. Sit down and try to calm down. They felt anxiety, various bad thoughts flashed through their minds.

Valendino bowed, sobbing. The man felt most guilty. He has not apologized for what he did to Zefran's household. Zefran asked him to take care of his beloved wife.

Valendino regretted not having time to warn Zefran when the man turned his body towards Bobby.

What if it's too late? What if Zefran can't survive? the heart of Valendino. 

Not only Valendino who thinks like that, his other two friends also think the same. Valendino also recalled to contact Allena. 

Not long after, Allena was seen running without looking left right into the operating room. Valendino immediately stood up to grab the girl's body and hug her. Allena thrashed for release she was eager to see the state of her husband.

However, it was impossible to do, Allena seemed unable to think clearly. Breaking in would only disturb the surgical team now trying to save Zefran. Altop's words made him realize that there was nothing they could do but wait and pray.

Valendino stared at the room with the indicator light still on. Then looked at Allena who was leaning weakly against his chest. His eyes looked straight ahead. Just silence to let her tears flow. Valendino wiped those tears away.

Allena was silent like she felt nothing, her heart felt empty, empty. All because of his oversized anxiety made the girl feel like she was losing her soul. At that time Valendino realized and saw for himself how much Allena loved his best friend.

Everyone hopes Zefran can still survive, hoping to still have a chance. Altop invites Ronald to speak, they are confused whether to contact Mrs. Mahlika and Frisca because after all the woman was Zefran's wife.

The two of them were worried about deciding while they were unwilling to bother Valendino and Allena.

"How is this, if anything happens we can be blamed" Ronald said.

"Yes we just called, I think Valen and Allena agreed, too" replied Altop.

They also contacted Mrs. Mahlika, but the mistress is still in Seoul. Promise to return to Indonesia. The mother cried asking Zefran's friends to look after her son. Frisca could not be contacted.

The indicator light has been extinguished, a sign that the surgery in the surgical room has been completed. The patient will be transferred to a transition room. Without feeling more than three hours the lamp was lit and during that time Zefran underwent surgery.

The team of surgeons came out the door of the operating room, Altop, Ronald and the others immediately asked Zefran.

"The operation went smoothly, but the patient's condition is still not stable" said the doctor.

"It is unfortunate that patients with puncture wounds or vulnus punctum have severe bleeding. All of that is because the object that was thrust into the patient's body that should serve as a bleeding barrier while it has been forcibly removed by the perpetrator. If the object is removed without proper action, severe bleeding can occur because there is no more blood retention. This causes bleeding so it is at high risk for further infection" explained the doctor.

All who heard immediately panicked and grieved even though the operation went smoothly but Zefran's condition was still worrisome.

"Can we see Brother Zefran now, doctor?" asked Allena who had been eager to see firsthand the situation of Zefran.

"Can't be Madam yet, because at this time the patient will be moved into the transition room. The patient's physical condition will be monitored. If you do not experience any complications after surgery and if the patient's condition continues to improve then the medical team will move it to the treatment room. There the lady can visit the patient" the doctor explained.

Allena looked down disappointed, but resignedly followed the doctor's speech. Everything again felt tense because before the medical team decided to move to the treatment room means Zefran's condition is still very worrisome.

The doctor leaves the patient's family. Valendino and the others sat back in wait. Allena looked weak, her gaze soft. Valendino asked the girl to return to her son's hospital room.

"Rest first there later if there is a development of Zefran conditions we will contact again. You look tired and sleepy" Valendino suggested.

"No, I'm not tired nor am I sleepy. Let me here, brother, I can't calm down before I'm sure Kak Zefran is fine" Allena pleaded.

Valendino smiled as he nodded, the man also could not bear to force the girl to leave. However, Valendino's speech was not fundamental. Allena's face looks tired and her eyes have been cut out. Not long after that, the girl fell asleep while sitting.

Altop felt sorry for Allena, coding Valendino to do something to the girl. Valendino slowly leaned Allena's head against his chest. Altop felt awry, letting the girl fall asleep with her head drooping, it made her feel pity.

However, when he saw Valendino leaning the girl against his chest, Altop also felt guilty towards Zefran. Her best friend would definitely not like to see that sight. His wife sleeps leaning on his love rival.

Altop resignedly considers this is an emergency, Altop believes Valendino did that not to look for opportunities but because of his affection for Allena who slept because of fatigue.

Allena woke up and saw Zefran standing in front of her. The man smiled, Allena immediately ran to hug the man.

"Don't choose him, you will suffer if you are with him" said Frisca who suddenly stood beside Allena.

"Leave him and be happy with me. We can be as happy as we used to be, as before that girl came into our lives" Frisca continued.

Allena was sad her heart hurt. Frisca's words show her presence in Zefran's life only makes the man suffer. Allena's tears flowed slowly, staring at the confused looking man.

Frisca forbids Zefran from choosing her and Zefran looks confused. Finally Allena let the man choose Frisca.

"So, leave me, I'm just making you suffer. Be happy with Mrs Frisca as before, leave me alone" Allena said sobbing.

Zefran looked down sad, Allena's words made him sad. The man turned his body and left. Allena was dumbfounded and called and chased after Zefran but the man just kept going.

Allena wanted the man to come back to Frisca instead of just leaving. Allena quickened her pace but their distance stayed away.

"Sister don't go, Brother don't go" Allena said.

Chasing Zefran who continued to go further and further, Allena ran hard until she fell. Allena flinched straight at Valendino beside her. Then look towards the operating room.

"They've moved Zefran to the inpatient room" Valendino said.

"What?" allena asked confusedly.

"Zefran's condition is improving, he has gone through a critical period, there are no infections or complications. Zefran stayed for a period of healing in the inpatient room" Valendino replied.

"What's? Has Zefran been moved? Why didn't Brother Valen wake me?" ask Allena.

"You look so tired, I can't bear to wake you up" Valendino replied with a smile.

"Come, we'll go there" Allena said, standing up and running.

The girl stopped and turned to Valendino.

"Where's the room?" ask Allena again.

Valendino laughed and walked over to Allena. He grabbed the girl by the hand and drove her to Zefran's hospital room.

Arriving at the luxurious inpatient room, Allena looked at the face of the man she loved. She clasped her husband's hand and kissed his back many times.

Brother, how are you? Is it very painful? I saw you leave, I was so scared. Come to your senses, heal quickly, I want to apologize to you, yes, whisper Allena's heart.

Allena sat on the chair beside the hospital bed. Looking at her husband who still closed her eyes. Allena did not care at all what caused the man she loved was injured, most importantly for him the man survived and soon recovered.

The three friends of Zefran can only look sad Allena who does not want to take off Zefran's hand for a second.

"Allena, rest there" Valendino said, pointing to the bed for the patient.

Allena shook her head.

"Nobody sleeps there. Rest, didn't I sleep?" answer Allena.

The girl glanced at her watch.

"Sister, I have to go back to my son's room. Please take care of Brother Zefran for me yes, if there is anything please contact me" Allena said after glancing at the clock that showed the early hours.

"I'll take you there" Valendino said.

"No need, brother here just rest, from last night Brother also has not slept right?" ask Allena.

Valendino just smiled. Allena whispered goodbye to her husband, then kissed the man's lips, Valendino bowed when she saw Allena doing that. It seems real how much love Allena has for Zefran. 

Allena smiled at Valendino, looking at Ronald and Altop sleeping on the sofa. Then get out of that room. Walk slowly to his son's room.

Arriving at Zefano's inpatient room, the girl climbed into the bed and hugged her son. His heart was relieved, Zefran had passed his critical period. Zefano was treated for several days for observation while Zefran was recovering his wounds.

When Zefran realized, the man immediately looked at the people around him. However, disappointed when he did not see the girl he loved.

"Hey, you must be looking for Allena right? He waited here for two nights in a row. Don't want to move for a second from your side. If it wasn't for his job this morning, he'd still be here by now" Ronald said.

"really?" zefran asked quietly in disbelief but his heart was blossoming.

Zefran felt more and more missed Allena, especially when alone. When his three best friends agreed to fulfill their respective tasks. Zefran understood after two days of unconsciousness they alternately came to accompany.

Meanwhile, Allena paid back to Zefano because of his work.

"Wait for Grandma and Aunt Rahma, don't go anywhere!" allena.

"Yes, fierce Mama" said Zefano with a laugh.

Allena immediately pinched both cheeks of her son, Zefano hugged her mother and then kissed both cheeks of Allena. The girl went home and got ready for work.

His mother left, Zefano peeked out. Once it felt safe, the child went back for a walk around the hospital. Greet the sisters who are beginning to know him. The child even memorized the names of the sisters in the hospital. The handsome Zefano instantly became the idol of the sisters.

"Well, guess whose sister's name, hayo?" ask a nurse while closing her name tag.

"Suster Lia."

"Suster Hani."

"Suster Nofi."

They laughed as Zefano managed to guess their names. Zefano played with the sisters.

"If it's the doctor, Zeno knows what his name is?" ask sister Hani.

Zefano shook his head.

"His name is Doctor Shinta, remember! Be careful if one of the sisters Hani kiss Zeno to satisfaction," said Sister Hani while tickling Zeno.

"Yes, yes, Zeno remembered, her name was a beautiful Doctor," Zeno said and immediately ran away from Sister Hani.

The boy waved his hand with a smile, signaling he wanted to return to his room. The child was a consolation for the young sisters there, every day Zeno teased the sisters. Then return to his room to wait for a doctor visit or wait for his family.

When he returned to the room, there was something he did. Help pick up a fallen handkerchief and give it to a patient in a wheelchair or help take a broken patient's cane.

Zefano walked in the hospital hallway while reading the names of patients on the signboard installed next to the door of the room. Zefano stopped and looked in through the glass hole in the door.

Zefano pushed the door slowly and smiled in greeting. Zefano wants to help patients who have difficulty reaching the bottle. Help pour it in the glass and hand it to the patient.

The patient received the glass and drank it to the ground, Zefano helping to put the empty glass back on the nightstand.

"Thank you, you're so nice, what's your name?"

"My name is Zeno" Zefano replied smiling as he extended his hand.

"I'm Zefran..., Zefran Dimitrios." 

Sahut Zefran while welcoming Zefano's hand while rubbing the handsome boy's hair.
