CHAPTER 69 ~ Search ~

Sister Nofi was jumped when a friend of hers, a nurse who works at a regional hospital, sent photos via private message to her mobile phone. The nurse ran straight to the laboratory where Doctor Shinta used to do her research.

"Doctor.., Doctor.., Doctor..," said Sister Nofi who could not speak because her breathing was still wheezing.

"There's nothing more than a doctor, doctor, doctor, take a deep breath, then exhale. Calm your mind" said Dr. Shinta without taking her eyes off the monitor screen displaying the object of her research.

"This.., this.., this is Zeno, isn't it?" ask Nofi.

Doctor Shinta's attention immediately turned to the nurse standing next to her. Sister Nofi immediately gave her phone which featured a photo of Zefano leaning against Rivaldo's chest. Doctor Shinta instantly enlarged the look of the picture and was shocked.

"Right this is Zeno, where is this? Who sent you this photo?" ask Shinta.

"My friend who works in the hospital area Doctor," replied Nofi.

"You come with me" said Shinta quickly.

Doctor Shinta invites Sister Nofi along with him to meet Zefran and Allena who are still hospitalized after giving birth. Doctor Shinta hastily met them, making the two shocked because early in the morning had been visited by the beautiful Doctor.

"We found Zeno" Shinta said, showing Sister Nofi's phone.

Zefran immediately grabbed the phone, both with his wife they observed the photo taken from a distance that is not too far away.

"Yes right, this is Zeno. Where is this? Who is she with? What's he doing with this guy?" ask Allena bertubi.

The woman who has since lost her son is suddenly quiet now flings Doctor Shinta with many questions. The doctor himself did not know exactly. Sister Nofi was told to answer what she knew.

"We're going there now" Allena said straight out of the hospital bed.

"You haven't been able to get out of the hospital yet" Shinta said.

"I didn't get out of the hospital, I just wanted to find my son" Allena brushed off Doctor Shinta's hand.

"Zefran!" shinta asks Zefran to stop Allena.

"Dear, let us go there. We're going to pick up Zeno now. You just wait here" forbid Zefran.

"No, I have to find him. I want to hug him, brother. He hates me because I'm not looking after him. I want to be the first person she sees to let her know I love her, she needs to know I don't want her to disappear. I'm sorry I neglected to look after her, me..,"

Zefran immediately hugged his crying wife. Ever since Zefano dreamed of hating and blaming her, Allena always looked glum and blamed herself. The thing that Doctor Shinta and Zefran worried about in the postpartum period was the baby blues syndrome that made the woman more depressed.

Doctor Shinta immediately decided to let Allena go.

"Alright, well you may come but do not push yourself and obey my orders. I will ask your permission to leave this hospital for a while and will be back soon" said Shinta finally.

"Nofi, bring a wheelchair here! Mrs Allena will use it" Shinta said.

"Why should I use a wheelchair? I can walk on my own" Allena said.

"If you don't obey you just stay!" snapped Shinta.

Making Allena's steps stop, the woman stood bowed. Allena did not want people to think she could not make the trip to the hospital where Zefano was. He did not want to be judged as a weak sick person.

Hearing Doctor Shinta's snaps, Sister Nofi immediately rushed in search of a wheelchair. Allena finally obeyed Doctor Shinta's orders. They rushed to the hospital.

After arriving at the hospital, Sister Nofi immediately contacted her friend and asked to take them to meet Zefano.

"How are you, you don't see what time I'm texting you?" ask the nurse.

"What do you mean?" ask Nofi.

"I'm asking you to make sure the missing kid is three in the morning. Why are you coming now?" ask the Sister.

"What does this mean? Wh why? What was? Why can't we ask now?" ask Allena blindly.

Allena could not wait to hear the two sisters talk. Moreover, the nurse did not show where Zefano was.

"Look, ma'am, Nofi once told me that the prodigal was very familiar with him. I've seen his impressions and photos. When I saw the hospital visitor who was similar to the child, I immediately asked Nofi. But Nofi didn't answer so I don't think the boy was the one being sought" she said.

"There's no need to tell that. We're here because the boy is Zeno and where is he now? Why did you tell us so long? Why is it so hard for you to tell me where my son is?" shout Allena.

"Allena calm down, don't yell at people" Zefran said.

"Why doesn't she tell me, I want to know right away where my son is" Allena yelled again.

"Prophe Allena!" Zefran.

Allena covered her face with both hands and cried. The sister felt sorry for Allena.

"The child seemed to be taking the family to a referral hospital" the nurse said.

"Whatchu mean? Who's sick?" ask Shinta.

"Mrs Frisca, the results of the examination are suspected that Ms. Frisca had cervical cancer for it was referred to a hospital with more complete facilities for further examination" explained the nurse.

"You mean my son is gone? He's not here? He's not here anymore? She left me?" ask Allena bertubi.

"Allena calm down, we can go to the referral hospital" Zefran said.

Allena was disappointed, the woman held her head that felt dizzy. Zefran immediately held Allena's body.

"I told you he shouldn't have come" Shinta said.

"Let's go now" said Zefran.

They went back on their way, after asking for the name of the hospital Frisca referred to the nurse. Not to forget Doctor Shinta thanked the nurse for giving them directions.

Meanwhile in a Zefano ward, Keisya and Rivaldo looked at Frisca who was staring at them alternately while shedding tears.

"Zeno, why didn't Zeno listen to Auntie's words? Zeno shouldn't have called Om Valdo" Frisca said slowly.

"Frisca, I'm grateful that Zeno called me, why are you doing this? Why should I leave? We can be happy together for a while but I'm sure we can get through it. We're going to face your ex-husband to live freely with Zeno" Rivaldo said, holding Frisca's hand.

Frisca smiled looking at Rivaldo's earnestness while Zefano stared confusedly at them, alternately turning his head to pay attention to their words.

"I wanted to live with Zeno but I had no rights. I told you once that I'm not a good woman" Frisca said.

Rivaldo nodded.

"I'm not only not good but very bad. I didn't appreciate the sincerity of my husband's love and had an affair behind him" Frisca's story began to sob.

Hearing Frisca who wanted to pour out her heart, Rivaldo asked the two children to sit in the visitor's seat. The man sat closer to Frisca.

"What do you want to tell me? I told you that I don't care about your past" Rivaldo said, then kissed Frisca's palm and put it on her cheek

"But I want to be open to you about my bad past because it has an effect on my current life. So bad was my past that what I got today was punishment for what I did in the past" Frisca said, wiping away her tears.

"What do you mean?" ask Rivaldo.

"I didn't expect that one day I would want a child" Frisca said, turning to Zefano, who was sitting on the bench.

Rivaldo followed Frisca's eyes and stared in surprise at Zefano.

"Actually I knew my illness because I checked it out. But after knowing my pain, I still did evil. Still blaming others even accusing all this suffering I was experiencing was the result of that person's actions. I did not come to my senses even though my illness was getting worse," Frisca said, looking back at Zefano, causing her tears to flow beside her eyes.

What Frisca said left Rivaldo dumbfounded. Frisca smiled, the woman knew Rivaldo's reaction would definitely be like that. But Frisca doesn't care she wants to open up all about herself to Rivaldo.

"I think to live happily I don't need a child. I felt that the presence of a child would only trouble me. Makes me lose my freedom and the chance to live a fun life" Frisca continued.

Frisca wiped away the tears with both her hands. But her tears just kept flowing every time she looked at Zefano.

"But when I was with Zeno I felt sorry for thinking that way. I want to have a child, I want to be happy with a child. But it's too late I won't have that chance because soon my life will be over" Frisca sobbed.

"Don't say it like that Frisca, you can still recover" Rivaldo said quickly.

"How will I recover, I have no medical expenses. If I can survive I won't be able to have any more children" Frisca said.

"Why?" ask Rivaldo in shock.

"Because I had cervical cancer, the doctor said that the treatment I had to undergo was chemotherapy and radiotherapy and even removing the uterus as a whole so that the cancer no longer developed. I can't Valdo, I don't have the money to finance all that. Once my body is strong enough I plan to leave this hospital. I want to apologize for bothering you. I'm sorry Valdo, I'm sorry" Frisca said in tears as she grabbed Rivaldo's hand.

"No, I don't accept your apologies. Before you try to heal. I will only accept your apology if you are willing to start treatment. I'll find a fee for that. Take it easy, I can get it" said Rivaldo.

"No, what are you going to do? The cost of treatment is very expensive. You don't have that kind of money, I don't want you to commit a crime to get my medical expenses. Nah! Remember you have Keisya, he mustn't have a criminal father" cried Frisca who immediately sat down.

"What are you doing?" ask Rivaldo.

"I'd better get out of here" Frisca said, trying to sit down.

"No, please don't leave here. I promise, I won't commit a crime. Stay here, get your treatment because I don't want to lose you," 

"What's? What are you gonna do?" ask Frisca.

"I'm going to sell my house, there happens to be a rich man who really wants to buy my house because it will be used as a shopping center. You remember the shop when we first met?" ask Rivaldo.

Frisca was stunned to recall the moment she was in pain in a store that had been closed and abandoned. Frisca nodded in memory of that moment.

"The shop was empty because it was bought by the rich man. He's after all the shops along that street. I'll see him now, at least get a down payment on your medical expenses. I go first Frisca you have to get treatment right away" explained Rivaldo.

"No! Nah! I don't agree. Your store and home is your life, how do you and your child live? Where are you guys gonna live?" frisca asked as she clasped Rivaldo's hand tightly.

Frisca did not want the man to sell Rivaldo's only possession.

"Treasure can still be sought. For a while we could rent a small house from the rest of the store purchase. Frisca I don't want to regret anymore. I'm defending that house in memory of my wife. If I can sell it then I'll do it to save him. But now that I have that chance, losing that house is better than losing you. I have to go now!" rivaldo immediately let go of his hand.

They met the two children who were sitting on the long bench and asked for permission to leave. Frisca shook her head disapprovingly but she could do nothing. It looks Rivaldo who dyed the top of his daughter's hair then switched to dyed Zefano's hair peak. Rubbed the handsome boy's hair with a smile.

Just about to leave the man again stopped his steps. Then looking at Frisca, the woman shook her head in tears. Rivaldo is back nearing Frisca.

"I have to do this" he whispered and kissed Frisca on the forehead.

The woman closed her eyes and made her tears flow. Rivaldo let go of his kiss and immediately left. Walk in a hurry to meet the owner of a shopping center who wants to buy his house.

The half-run man wanted to get out of the big hospital immediately. At a bend Rivaldo hit a man who was also running in a hurry.

"I'm sorry, I'm in a hurry forgive me, are you okay?" ask Rivaldo.

"It's okay, I'm fine" said the man who staggered back.

Rivaldo nodded then continued his steps.

"Zefran, come!" said Shinta, who saw Zefran staring at the man who had just hit him.

"Let's hurry, I'm afraid Zeno is gone again!" yelled Allena who was sitting in a wheelchair.

Zefran nodded, immediately they walked quickly to the ward that the sisters mentioned in the information section. Meanwhile Rivaldo was stunned when he heard the name Zefano called.

Zefran, Allena, Doctor Shinta and Sister Nofi enter a ward inhabited by some of the patients. Just getting into the room they had been startled by the sound of the little boy they so longed for.

"Mama!" zefano yelled directly towards the woman in the wheelchair.

Allena stood up and ran to hug her son. Doctor Shinta shook his head. Allena ran to hug her son and kissed the smiling child's face.

"Father!" he also hugged his father.

Together the three of them hugged tightly for so long. Allena was crying and couldn't hold her harbour. Meanwhile Doctor Shinta steps closer to Frisca.

"What's going on? You why?" ask Shinta.

Allena stood up and immediately stared intently at Frisca.

"How come you did this to my son who just got out of the hospital. I'm not letting you go, you have to take responsibility for what you did!" shout Allena.

"What's responsible?" tanya Rivaldo suddenly appeared.

Hearing Zefano's name called the man's footsteps stopped. Hesitatingly finally returned to Frisca's ward. Rivaldo was curious and worried about what was happening.

"Oh it's not alone, there's a conspiracy. I'm gonna put you all in jail!" allena shouted while pointing at the two people before her.

Rivaldo clasped Frisca's hand and looked in wonder at Allena. Keisya immediately hugged his father's thigh with a frightened face.

"Mama don't! They're good people, why put in jail?" ask Zefano.

"They're evil for kidnapping Zeno. Just look if something bad happens to my son's health. I'm suing you!" allena.

Frisca shook her head while crying. The woman did not want Allena to accuse Rivaldo.

"No! Don't blame him, this has nothing to do with him. Blame me, I kidnapped your son. He doesn't know anything" Frisca replied in tears.

Rivaldo turned to Frisca.

"Kidnap? So you really kidnapped Zeno? You're not her mother?" ask Rivaldo.

Frisca looked at Rivaldo with tears in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, I told you not to care about me. I'm a bad woman, a liar who doesn't deserve you, go! Leave me alone here!" frisca snapped and turned her face the other way.

Rivaldo nodded and stared one by one at the unknown people. With teary eyes Rivaldo held his daughter and stepped out of the ward. Keisya looked towards Frisca who was staring following their steps.

"Tante" said Keisya slowly.

Frisca cried sobbing her eyes could not be separated to look at Kesya who was getting away. Suddenly the woman felt an excruciating pain.

"Friss! You why?" shout Shinta.

Allena and the others were astonished to see Frisca's expression that looked so agonized. Zefano immediately cried calling Frisca's name as well as Keisya who wanted to go back and screamed calling her name.

Allena and the others were stunned to hear the cries of the two children who were so heartbreakingly sad. Frisca groaned and eventually fell unconscious. Doctor Shinta called the medics.

They were asked to pull over, Frisca was taken to an intensive room. Allena, Zefran and the others were fixated staring at Frisca's hastily pushed gurney. Zefano gave chase, Allena immediately held her child's body.

"Please Zeno, Zeno wants to see Aunt Frisca. Bad mama, Mama made Aunt Frisca sad and now sick," said Zefano who tried to escape.

Hearing Zefano Allena's words of shock, instantly released Zefano's body. The woman fell to her feet and cried. Allena felt her dream had now become real.
