CHAPTER 55 ~ Zeno is Zefano ~

The most similar DNA is the human sibling. However, Zefano does not have a sibling hence a bone marrow donor from his parents is the most likely. In addition, Zefano can also get bone marrow donors from foreign donors but the chance of a match is only one among millions of people.

Allena as a parent who can be declared as a donor candidate quickly volunteered. Allena also conducted a bone marrow sampling process as a healthy donor called harvesting

A needle was inserted through Allena's skin into the bone to retrieve her bone marrow. The whole process took about an hour and Allena was anesthetized.

However, after doing the test found Allena was pregnant. While one of the conditions for bone marrow donors is not pregnant. The girl was immediately hysterical, Allena who felt she was the only person who could become a donor was not qualified.

"What is the sin of the child until you blame him. He's your son too, your flesh and blood too. You think Zeno would be happy if you beat up his sister because of him," cried Vina.

Allena regained her senses when she heard her mother's words, the only thing she could do was to cover her face with both hands and cry until her body shook. Vina hugged her daughter.

So long crying finally Allena quietly leaned on her mother. His gaze was blank, recalling the remark of the doctor who advised him to immediately look for a spinal cord donor.

While waiting for a suitable donor, Zefano had to continue high doses of chemotherapy to destroy existing bone marrow and cancer cells as well as weaken the immune system to reduce the risk of transplant cell rejection.

"I will spread the announcement, for who is willing to donate bone marrow that matches Zeno. I'll give her a billion or whatever gifts she wants" Allena said.

"What's? That's crazy, a lot of people will be tempted to try it" Valendino said.

"To be precise, many are trying to get more opportunities. There might be one of them who has a bone marrow match with Zeno. The more you check yourself, the more chances you have to find a suitable bone marrow, Kak" said Allena recklessly.

Allena immediately contacted her Assistant and asked to spread the announcement. He did not want to stay silent and for much longer saw Zefano suffer.

"I will accompany you to meet Zefran if you are not confident in dealing with him" Valendino said.

"Because of your heartache you can see your son suffer. LOOK ZENO, LOOK.., he's lying weak and getting weaker. We need to find the right donor for him! We need to get to Zefran. The only people who can help him, we meet him now or we can be late Allena" Valendino shouted as he pulled Allena's hand and brought her closer to Zefano's bed.

Allena was crying looking at her son who was lying down while closing his eyes. The boy's face was getting thinner, his eyes were sunken, his hair was thinning. His body was thin, his lips were dry and pale.

"Please baby, soon there will be a donor who matches you" whispered Allena as she stroked Zefano's hair.

"YOU'VE GONE CRAZY" cried Valendino could not bear to see Allena's attitude.

The girl looked at her son's face with a glare. Feeling stressed when he saw Zefano's hair tucked in his fingers. Every time Allena stroked the boy's hair, Allena found a lump of hair stuck to her finger.

After that he will cry with a smile but sometimes laugh and then cry. Vina and Rahma tried to persuade the girl. Allena finally sat down on the patient's bedside chair while holding her child's hand.

Zeno's not gonna leave Mama, is he? Although Mama is a person who likes to break promises but Zeno will not leave Mama right? Aren't you? whispered the heart of Allena.

"His leukimi had a relapse, the doctor said he should get a spinal cord transplant but he didn't get the donor" Valendino explained, bowing to his arms.

"There are no donors? Wh why? Doesn't he still have parents? His father oh no, he said he didn't have a father since childhood. But she still has her mother. Then why don't you do that bone marrow transplant?" ask Shinta to panic.

"His mother is pregnant. Doctors can't make him a donor" Valendino replied.

"Pregnant? How could? Isn't Zeno's father gone?" ask Shinta wonder.

"Zeno's father is still alive but she doesn't acknowledge her son. Zeno's father did not acknowledge the child because of his negative DNA test results. The only thing we're doing now is looking for a foreign donor whose bone marrow matches Zeno's. Now the condition is getting worse I can't see it" Valendino explained with tears.

"Why not tell me? Why not as soon as I tell you. I love Zeno too. I also want to be around her," Shinta cried and ran to find Zefano's hospital room.

Valendino followed, The doctor asked the nurse where Zefano's room was. Valendino told him straight away. Doctor Shinta again ran to find the room number that Valendino mentioned.

Soon the girl came in and called Zeno's name. Allena who was sitting down on the side of the bed immediately raised her face and stood looking at Doctor Shinta.

Doctor Shinta stared at the face she had never forgotten. The doctor shed tears as he recalled a girl who walked while holding her baby six years ago.

The girl who walked sadly followed Zefran and Frisca who stepped in front of him. Doctor Shinta who was hiding behind a pole stared fixedly at the face of the girl who looked resigned and relented as she walked slowly while looking down in the hospital.

She, isn't she Zefran's young wife? Wasn't she the woman holding the baby back then? I will not forget that face, I will not forget his sad face that walked behind following Zefran and Frisca that day. The day of sampling for Zefano's DNA test? A zefano? shinta's inner screaming.

The girl staggered as she looked at Allena's face. Suddenly the doctor ran out of the room and stared at the sign hanging beside the door.

"What's Shinta?" valendino asked astonished at Shinta's panicked expression.

"Zefano? Is Zeno a Zefano? Is that woman Zefran's wife?" shinta asked with tears flowing more and more.

"Yes right, Zefano is his full name" Valendino said.

Doctor Shinta covered her open mouth. Shaking his head with his tears flowing more and more. Valendino was astonished to see Doctor Shinta's panicked attitude.

Doctor Shinta cried reading it and was shocked when Valendino suddenly stood before him. With trembling hands the girl showed the results of the DNA test on Valendino. The man read and stared in wonder at Doctor Shinta.

"This is the original test result, Zefran's wife Frisca asked me to change it six years ago" Shinta said.

"What's? So his DNA test results have been faked?" ask Valendino.

"I'm sorry" said Shinta and immediately sat on the floor.

Valendino looked at the girl who was crying as much as she could, wanting to ask further but finally decided to run to see Zefran.

At high speed the man immediately drove his car until he finally entered the office building owned by the Dimitrios family. Breaking in just past the secretary who tried to block him.

"Here, your son's original DNA test. Six years ago the results of this test were manipulated at Frisca's request," Valendino said, putting the DNA test identification document.

Zefran grabbed the sheet of paper, read it and was shocked.

"Are you sure now? Aren't you sure Allena's son is your own?" valendino asked while shedding tears.

Zefran stood looking at his crying friend.

"Please him, help your son. He's dying, your son has leukemia. He needs your spinal cord. Otherwise, Zeno could not be saved anymore" Valendino shouted.

"What's? A zeno? Zeno's my son?" ask Zefran.

"Zefano calls himself Zeno, yes, Zeno is Zefano" Valendino said.

Hearing that Zefran immediately ran out of his study and immediately drove his car to the hospital. The boy's smile was so happy when he found out that he would soon meet his father.
