Tonight's a party full of women from the mainland, even Linda (by apologizing), went to the beach to drink and dance. At Ryan's behest, Farah is not allowed to come there, which is how she hears from Gio (also apologizing). The party was going wild, and an important person came along, along with two high-ranking officials who were going to meet Ryan on the beach, and Ryan didn't want them to see Farah. According to Gio, it had something to do with maintaining Farah's reputation....
Farah had not slept until late at night. He sat on the bed, braiding his hair when he heard footsteps on the doorstep of his room. Only Farah and the middle-aged maid remained in the villa, and after hours of listening to the silence in the empty hallway, those footsteps sounded terrifying. Even more horrifying happened later, when footsteps stopped at Farah's doorstep, then Keith went inside without first knocking.
In ordinary circumstances, Keith was a terrifying man. At midnight, in an empty house, Keith's existence is every virgin's worst nightmare. While gasping loudly, Farah pulled the sheets up to the top of her nightgown and exclaimed, "Oh, no!"
Farah's words hung in the air, sounding Farah realized it with a shy-slight fool. Keith's dark eyebrows shot up in disbelief as well as delight, and Keith looked at Farah with a sigh of laughter. "My poor girl, do you think I would do something inappropriate for you?" keith said, managed to make his voice sound calm to Farah's overreaction.
With red cheeks extinguished, Farah was speechless. Not caring about Farah's nervousness, Keith said, "Take off your clothes. I'll be waiting for you in the front room"
Keith closed the door and left Farah before Farah could fully digest the order. A shadow of an accident or illness flashed through Farah's mind. Linda's? The gio? Ryan's? Keith had not yet reached the fourth step down the hallway, Farah shouted in an anxious voice, "What happened?"
"You have a very wild imagination, honey. Nothing happened."
"Then, why—"
"I," asserted Keith, "didn't like it when anyone questioned my orders, and even more so by a careless and useless child. I can see through your nightgown, and if you don't change it right away, I have no choice but to leave with that dress."
In an instant, Farah was already behind her bedroom door again, remembering Will's words about Keith, 'You obey his first command, or he will carve the command in your organs.'
All of her clothes were lent by Linda and Farah immediately put on the light blue dress she wore this afternoon. The material is pretty good, but the color is too striking. A few days ago, Farah once told Linda that it is a pity that lately designers prefer to make pastel-colored clothes, even though lighter colors can make the wearer look more alive. But, Farah did not feel more alive when she saw Keith in the front room. Keith's dark eyes were fixed on him, then Keith started walking to the door, ordering Farah to follow with only a hand gesture.
Farah might have relied too much on her luck, but as they walked together down the porch stairs, Farah could not help but say, "I don't think anyone could be considered to have a wild imagination, just because they were just asking why they were ordered to leave their beds at midnight."
"Ah" cried Keith. "Did my words hurt your feelings?" Staring at Farahyang's messy hair, Keith added, "I pulled another useless word."
Keith watched with a smile, as Farah tried to tidy up her hair curls, and said nothing, until they arrived at the edge of the forest and Farah's steps slowed down. "I hate having to do unnecessary coercion on women" Keith murmured..
Farah felt physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted, and above all, Keith frightened her. And Keith still added to it by making her feel ashamed of all the other things. Farah lost her patience as well as common sense, she continued her steps with her hands raised into the air like prisoners of war, she continued, A large hand gripped Farah's shoulder and she was pulled roughly to face the towering Keith in front of her.
Keith lifted Farah's chin with his thumb and middle finger, then said in a calm voice, "Before you were born, tiny, I've raped more women than the teeth in your comb. I admire the spirit and character of young people, both men and women, but that does not mean I want to tolerate the boldness and pretentious attitude of girls your age. Think about it."
The way Keith casually alluded to the crime he had committed against another woman made Farah so angry that he dared to ask fiercely, "Or what? Are you going to torture me until you have to poke me with a fucking drug like you did with Gege?"
A second later, Farah thought, Oh my God, what have I said? Keith would kill me.
Keith's dark gaze scanned every detail on Farah's face curiously, then, to Farah's bewilderment, Keith began to laugh softly.
"Well, that's how a lady is supposed to fight, honey, using her tongue. You may lose your temper, but not your pride."
The moonlight illuminated every detail of the surrounding scenery with a silvery light; the swaying palm tree leaves were blown away by the wind, the row of bamboo trees that curved like a bow, and the leaves above them that danced-days. Amidst the blankets of darkness, the crescent moon looked like a devil's grin, The passing bat was seen a speck of stain on the surface of the moon; in a much lower place again, the, the meadows here and there made the place look even wilder. The owl whistled, the moist air followed by countless tree carrack chants. Keith's thoughts were dragged to another time, to another place - one that was much cooler than this tropical island and a memory of being with another girl, who was younger than the girl beside him....
With clouds of snow tubs hanging over them, rose bushes spreading fragrant fragrant ashen, a seventeen-year-old girl descended the grass-covered hill. The wind blew the little girl's hair ribbon and pink skirt, and when Keith stopped to kiss the girl, the girl looked at him and whispered, "Please Keith,. Do it gently."
Through the dim shadow, Keuth saw Farah walking quietly in the middle of the night. Farah is slimmer than the girl and more vulnerable, but with greater confidence. Farah has an amazing intelligence and courage that her mother did not. With that thought Keith seemed to hear the whisper of the spirit that always haunted him: "Get my daughter, Keith.
I'll take care of him, I'll take care of him.....
"Are we going to the beach? Has Ryan changed his mind and allowed me to be there?"
"Yes and No."
"You mean you're gonna take me to the beach, even if Ryan doesn't want me there?"
"Yes." Yeah."
Farah swallowed the blockage in her throat. "Are you able to think of it as curious and not as silly if I asked you why you're doing this?" Keith's answer was just a laugh.
"Why?", said Farah almost in a whisper.
"Because, honey, Ryan will soon solve one of your little mysteries
"W-what?" - and it would have been better if you had been there," Keith said calmly, "It would have been more in line with my plan if Ryan had not known I had taken you to the beach, so I'm gonna tell him you're hiding and watching a party from behind the bushes and me-
"What"
just inviting you to join, of course, you're free to deny it, but I'm sure you already know, by experience, that I can be more convincing when I lie, compared to you when you tell the truth. As usual, you still have the option to tell Gio about your problem, but I'm sure you have a better judgment not to, because you must be as unhappy as I am, if the boy's fascination for you gives him more trouble than before."
At once also Farah's steps stopped. Keith's hand, which was on Farah's back, began to push her back to walk again. And towards the beach, Farah began to hear boisterous sounds - laughter, music, conversations that mingled with the sound of the waves pounding.
"You can also run away from me, too" Keith continued in a quieter voice. "If you do, I'll catch you and do more unpleasant things to your little body, leaving no marks."
"You," Keith commented, "have gotten yourself into a unique and complicated situation, and you have to work on your own to get out of it. All I can give you is a chance. Did Ryan ever tell you why he hates Andreas so much? I don't think so. Alright. Now it's time you knew that Andreas had killed Ryan's sister."
And after saying that, the Dark Devil leader pulled Farah along with him towards the shore.
