Chapter 41

One week later...

Ryan who was sitting relaxed in the rooftop was enjoying a glass of wine that had been stored for more than 75 years along with Keith and Kevin.

While Gio who was walking with Will desperately met the three men to say something. Gio wants to buy Farah. Purchasing women was common among the mafia. Gio very carefully reveals his main goal to Ryan and the man listens to Gio and Will's request calmly.

"Why? What's the reason you guys want to buy that girl?". Ryan's question sounded ordinary but without smiling.

It was obvious Ryan would answer no, as they had expected, but still they had to answer that question. And that's the problem, Gio doesn't know what to answer, although it's not too embarrassing to admit that their goal isn't perverted at all. They couldn't possibly say that they just wanted to free Farah.

As Gio and Will speak, Ryan stared intently at the two so they could not avoid telling Ryan that the man's attitude was towards Farah, the one who had held her hostage for quite a long time had already left the girl tormented. Even Will who tried to explain firmly, there was still an impression of romance and admiration that they felt towards Farah.

Keith, who had been waiting for Ryan's rejection at Gio and Will's request, laughed out loud. Kevin sighed and looked at Gio and Will with irritated eyes and said curiously, "If you guys don't stop showing excessive attention to the girl, Keith would be happy to keep him here for as long as possible, just to console himself by looking at your ridiculous mannerisms".

Gio who is going diving with Will and Dennis nimbly catches jellyfish as well as nemo fish using a fine net. He quickly got on the speed boat and put it in the bucket to show Farah.

Two hours later, with a carefree face Gio carries a bucket of jellyfish and nemo fish to Ryan's room after getting the key from Gege. Undeniably, Farah was also very happy to meet Gio because he felt very lonely. During the week since Farah was locked up again in Ryan's room, Gio came to see Farah as often as he could, and so did the others. Mr. Yanka visited him quite often, as well as Will, Dennis, Gege, and some others but they did it secretly and quickly because even though Ryan did not forbid them from visiting Farah, ryan probably won't like it either. Ryan's still sleeping somewhere. Gege, who certainly knows it, says that rich men are just like humans in general, but every time Gio looks into Farah's shady eyes or sees the girl smiling, Gio wondered how Ryan might prefer to sleep somewhere else.

The jellyfish was attractive as well as frightening to Farah and she was extremely envious as Gio casually picked up the jellyfish and let his sticky tentacles stick to the young man's wrist. Farah ventured to do so, trying her best to ignore the sea creatures glaring at her, as she placed them in her hands, but they were disturbed by Sanders' screams from the corridor. "Gio!!! Where's the fucking kid? If he doesn't want to use a speed boat to go diving, I use it. He said he would use a speed boat to dive until night, but not until an hour of speed boat was back again. Dennis! Where did that little bastard go?!".

The jellyfish returned to the bucket, and Gio immediately left Farah with a regretful smile and a long-distance kiss. For a minute or two, Farah listened to the heated debate on the doorstep of the room and smiled as Gio managed to win it. Farah then set foot to the window. Ryan's room was on the top floor of a row of rooms for the Dark Devil leader, which meant it was quite frightening for Farah to plunge down. Farah took out her arm from the window, to wave at Gio, as Gio went again towards the dock. As she turned towards the room, Farah suddenly realized that Gio had forgotten to bring her jellyfish and nemos. And as expected, Gio also forgot to lock the door.

Farah realizes that Gio's carelessness is of little use to her, and she is very sure Gege will realize the door is unlocked when he brings her dinner. However, when night falls it is Will, who seems to be making dough, because his tattoo is covered by flour. Will placed a bowl of meat soup and a plate of brown lava cake on the table, and turned his head puzzled towards the door, as if to ask Farah why the door was unlocked, but just then Will sees a jellyfish in a bucket. In an instant, Will's attention is distracted, as Will is busy persuading Farah to give the jellyfish to him to cook into a soup that Farah cannot imagine how sticky the soup water is.

Farah was so enraged by Will's request that upon leaving empty-handed, Will also forgot about the unlocked door.

Farah spent the night pacing back and forth looking into the bucket, while the jellyfish and nemo fish swam irregularly, staring at Farah with a sharp highlight, and occasionally throwing tentacles at Farah.

Then suddenly there was a knock on the door.

"Farah?", Gege's voice came from behind the door.

"Ge, I'm going to sleep."

"Yes." answered Farah.

"Oh, for God's sake."

"The size is very small."

"Flood... You won't sleep with that jellyfish in the same room as you. You better throw it out".

"No!"

"The jellyfish will die and give off an odor that does not

it's good." said Gege.

"No, he's not gonna die. I put it in my bathtub. There's enough water in there."

Silent. Then, Gege relented, "Oh, alright. Is there anything I can bring you?"

"No, thank you. I'm almost asleep.".

"alright. Did Will keep the key?"

"Yes. Good night, Ge."

"Good night."

Farah was not at all sure what made her lie to Gege about the key. To be sure, he did not intend to commit reckless acts by running away again, let alone with the threat of punishment he would have received; so, he should have told Gege. Maybe it was his hatred for being locked up in a room that prevented him from saying all that. Or maybe he was too tired to give a long explanation. After all, it was a clear example of his over-cautious attitude that he had to consider whether his confineer had deliberately designed all of this.
