Romance In Makara Orange

Romance In Makara Orange
The Ship has Sailed Part 1

^Lost opportunity

Gani picked up Vira at four in the afternoon. As Gani said earlier that the Lydia garden party is semi-formal, so Vira does not have to bother looking for a suitable outfit. Gani himself suggested using a brightly colored batik top.

“You are beautiful,” said Gani with a fluffy smile when she found Vira wearing khaki-colored pants combined with a bright batik blouse.

Vira smiles happily, not in vain asking Natha to apply makeup to make her look brighter and glowing for a nighttime look.

Actually Vira is still worried because Mama hasn't come home since yesterday. Vira almost cancels Gani and Lydia's invitation. But Natha and Mirna convince Vira that everything will be fine and there is nothing to worry about. It's just that Natha reminded her that her phone should not be muted to be easily contacted.

Sunday afternoon trip from the direction of the toll road to West Bekasi Pondok Indah quite densely creeping, especially after passing through Jatiwarna and Ragunan. But the black glass layer of the car that Gani drives seems to blur the atmosphere of congestion outside. All that was left was the comfort and softness of the chair it occupied. Gani did not say much and let the soft music caress their hearing.

“Mas Gani while still in college boarding or returning home?” vira asked open the conversation after a long moment of silence.

“Kos, in Margonda area,” replied Gani briefly.

“Where is Mas?” ask Vira

Gani mentioned the name of one of the famous apartments in Margonda which turned out to be not a boarding place because it was his own. It's just that after he graduated, Gani did not want to occupy it and instead rented it through the application. The boarding business or apartment is indeed quite profitable in Depok considering that several large Universities are there and the number of students is always increasing every year.

“You yourself why kost? I think I went home first huh?” ask Gani

“Hahaha, yes that's Mas, there is a problem, trus also there is an internship in Senayan, so it's a real hassle if you go back and forth Jakarta Depok Bekasi.”

“When is Vir?”

“It looks like next semester deh Mas, the mind also wants to finish this semester through the path of the journal, but it seems a bit troublesome. Probably the longest next semester.”

“After graduation want to work so what Vir?”

“Hahaha, the question is very difficult. That is, not necessarily, now most taught to participate in research on campus. But the mind also wants to be a political journalist, who knows can be coverage in the palace,” replied Vira.

“You have no interest in working in the area?” gani asked with a straight forward look.

“Hever thought of being a teacher in a remote area, but it seems that now it has begun to change, there are many interesting things that can be done," replied Vira.

“Mas Gani really moved to Riau? Forever?” ask Vira.

Gani smiles. “Jakarta is already overcrowded Vir.”

It did not feel Gani turned the car to one of the quiet streets in the Pondok Indah Area and stopped at one of the spacious multi-storey houses with clean white paint. The lights of the house began to be lit even though the new twilight sky only issued a tinge of red and not yet dark.

Ah, inner Vira. The house is huge and it does not include its courtyard which may be able to accommodate about 10 cars for parking. Gani even said that his garden party was behind the house. Vira swallowed his saliva. Never imagined he would enter a house this big, only to see it on television or magazines before. Entrepreneurs and politicians, an incredible combination to become wealthy in Indonesia, the inner Vira.

After being opened by the security guard, Gani put his car into the garage. Looks like some cars are neatly lined up, and they're all fancy cars. From the garage there are two doors to the house and the other to the back garden. Gani brought him into the house. The door to the garden was wide open and seemed to be the activity of people going back and forth. Looks like they're the ones who're taking care of the garden party.

“Mau maghrib Vir, all congregational prayers yes!” take Gani and Vira just nod.

Following Gani, Vira enters the house. The door was apparently connected to the dining room and the kitchen was clean. Gani invites Vira to sit on the sofa of the family room. Ivory white leather sofa that looks luxurious with chandelier luminescence hanging on it. The sofa was unusually soft, as if telling Vira to laze over it.

Gani is allowed to go to her room which is upstairs. Leaving Vira alone. In front of his eyes was a glass barrier wall covered in long white vitrase dangling. The shadow of the passerby. Looks like it's a backyard connected to a swimming pool.

Vira looked around dominated by white and golden luminescence. There is a photo of Mr. Herman Sasongko and his family with a very large size attached to the wall of the family room. There was another boy she had never seen. His face was firm with a sharp eye highlight when compared to the gentle and soothing Gani.

“Sorry, non this who is it?” asked the middle-aged woman who suddenly startled Vira.

“Oh sorry. I am Vira, Mas Gani's friend. I was invited Mba Lydia to her party,” replied Vira seemed a little hesitant.

“Non Vira want to go directly to the back garden? There was no one there, still a catering employee and the committee. Non Lydia is still on the road as it seems, her future fiance Non Lydia and her family have also not come. Mr. Herman and Mrs are also still in the room,” obviously the middle-aged woman again.

“I wait Mas Gani aja Bu, want to pray congregation he said,” said Vira.

“Non bring the face? In this house that prays only Mas Gani. If you don't bring it, you can borrow mine. That's if non want.”

“I borrow from Mom if I may. I was in Mas Gani's car. Sorry for the trouble,” pinta Vira.

“I put it in guest room Yes Non. Later can not pray there,” said the middle-aged woman while pointing towards the corridor to the special guest room.

Gani descends from the second floor towards him, carrying a prayer mat and a sarong. Gani's face and hair looked a little wet. Looks like Gani has taken ablution.

“Vir, bring mukena?” ask Gani.

“Have been borrowed with Mother, she said to put in the guest room,” replied Vira.

“Oh, have you met Bi Yun? Later Vira can wudhu in the guest room toilet only.”

Gani became the priest of prayers for Vira. They had prayed together before at the Mall, but both only became masters. Now they are just the two. This is the first time Gani has become a priest of prayer for women. The woman who was chosen to be her own. There was a sense that was present first in him. Gani doesn't understand it, and it's more than just the happiness he's ever felt before. If time could stop here or time sided with him and made this woman his. Gani can only hope in prayer.

After the prayer, Gani leaves Vira alone in the guest room. Vira again tidied up the makeup by sweeping a little solid powder and adding a lip-splitter with a nude pink color. After making sure the new tidy Vira returned to the living room. Gani was sitting waiting on the family room leather sofa.

“You wait where Vir is? Here or in the back garden?” gani asked with a warm smile.

“Anywhere no problem koq Mas. But in the garden can also be, more crowded. Here quiet, no one,” said Vira grimaced.

“Here is always quiet Vir, the moment you come so crowded,” Gani said in a joking tone that made Vira smile.

The garden behind Gani's house turned out to be very spacious. Not only the garden with mini green grass trimmed neatly and Japanese garden-style ornamental plants, but also a spacious terrace overlooking the pool. Catering employees appear to arrange round tables that have been coated with white cloth. There was a vase with fresh roses and fragrance candles on each of his tables.

On the terrace there is a long table in the form of the letter L which contains various foods and drinks. Additional garden lights installed in some parts of the park make the atmosphere romantic.

Vira took the desk at the very back corner, close to the door to the garage. This choice of table made Gani look at him.

“Why choose here?” ask Gani wonder.

Vira grimacing. “Sorry Mas, as if the invitation to the show is limited and Vira does not seem to be a relative or special guest. So it's better to be behind.”

“Each table has its nameplate. Looks like we're stationed up front. Don't worry, you're my special guest and Lydia's sister, so there's no need to feel shy.” Gani then takes Vira to the table in the front row.

Each table consists of four chairs, but at the Vira table there are only three signboards. Ganindra, Elvira, and Bagas. Gani explains that Bagas is the younger brother of Mas Adjie, Kak Lydia's future fiancee. Two tables jutting forward near the small stage are reserved for both parents and the two parties who will be engaged. Gani and Vira's desk is right behind the desk of Lydia and her future sister.

The digital clock on Vira's arm shows the number 18.45 and the event will start at seven p.m. Fifteen minutes from the show begins, but the table in the garden is filled only by Gani and himself. The other guests did not even see the trunk of his nose. Vira remembered Mamah, whether she had gone home or not. He checked his phone and there were no messages from Natha or Mirna.

“Why Vir? Looks like something's been thought of. You're okay, right?” ask Gani to make sure.

Vira smiled and shook her head as a sign that she was fine.

Some guests have already begun to enter through the back porch door. A young married couple with two adorable little kids came in and sat down at the table next to Vira's desk. This means a close relative of the family. Vira guesses that they are the older brother of Kak Lydia's future fiancee. Sure enough, Gani went straight to them and shook hands, saying welcome.

There are several guests of Mr. Herman and Ms. Ruth's age who are likely relatives or business associates. Three women of three heads and one man of the same age may be Lydia's best friend. One by one the table is filled. Except a table for parents and candidates who are about to get engaged.

Vira was almost surprised when a tall young man approached and sat at his desk. Greet Gani and have a little bit of pleasantries.

“Mas Bagas, this knows Vira, my good friend and Brother Lydia,” said Gani who was greeted by Bagas' hand to Vira. Bagas clasped Vira's hand firmly.

“Gak nyangunang Gani yes, soon to follow,” said Bagas with a provocative tone that was replied with a smile Gani. Vira himself did not understand what it meant.

"Vir, Mas Bagas is Mas Adjie's younger brother, Kak Lydia's future sister. Now also again grab the management master in UI as well. Isn't that right, Mas?"

“Oh, one campus too. Still in college or graduated with Gani?” ask Bagas to Vira

“Eeh, yes Mas. I am still in college,” replied Vira quietly with a little embarrassment.

“Where? The Faculty of Engineering?”

“Not Mas, I'm a child of FISIP.”

“Communication or HI?”

“I Politics Mas,” replied Vira.

“Waah, it matches the prospective in-laws yes Gan,” as well Bagas.

Vira feels that there is a misunderstanding about the man who thinks that Vira is Gani's girlfriend. I want it to be clarifying but Gani doesn't seem to mind and just smiles. Finally Vira let, after all this man also had no relationship with him. No need for any explanation.

Vira looked around and the invited guests had already filled the seats on the table provided. It appears that a woman and a man who hosted the event opened a conversation that indicates the event will begin soon. It appears that Mr. Sasongko and Ms. Ruth and a middle-aged couple entered simultaneously and sat in front of Vira's desk. At first glance, Ruth looked at Vira with soft but curious eyes. This made Vira a little misbehaved.

Suddenly the host mentioned a familiar name in Vira's ears and there appeared to be a beautiful and handsome adult couple entering the room. The woman gave her best smile and the man with a familiar face and name to Vira just smiled. The woman walked with a face that greeted all the guests who came while the man just stared straight ahead.

Vira realized well who the figure with the name and familiar face with certainty when the two approached and sat near his desk. Suddenly, his body temperature turned cold, his face paled, and his tongue became a mute. Vira looked down. It felt like Vira wanted to run away from here but her legs seemed to be imprinted, making her unable to move.

“Vir, Vira, are you okay?” ask Gani in a soft voice.

“Why Gan your chick? Pain?” tanya Bagas who turned out to be paying attention.

With his face down, he took a long breath. Vira tried to calm the emotions raging within her. Outlining the dizzying tangled threads in his mind.

A few pieces of Mas Cokro's face ranging from Annapurna until their kiss last night began to be arranged and finally the pieces of the face that he saw today, engaged to the daughter of the boss where he was apprenticed, he said, the older sister of the man who proposed to her.

It was as if what was happening before his eyes was like a scenario arranged so observantly, a karma for him.The truly painful retribution of his feelings that had just begun towards the man. Scenarios involving people who are now close to life. Life is like being hostile right now.
