Romance In Makara Orange

Romance In Makara Orange
Old Chhomrong versus New Chhomrong

Climbing day four. Sandeep said that the track this time will pass through the last resident settlement. So there are some schools, farmlands that are passed, children, and farm animals that pass by. As was the case yesterday, today there are two mountains to go through to get to Chommrong.

Vira looks happy to hear Sandeep's explanation. The last two tracks of Vira only see local people in restaurants and hotels. Sometimes there are young men who carry two donkeys full of basic goods that pass them.

Their first resting place was in the field in front of the local government office. Mas Une, Mas Cokro and Dody were seen sleeping on the green grass that stretched wide. Enjoy the morning sun.

“Obi, Vira, here,” call Mas Une, tell them to lie down like him.

Some foreign climbers have done the same. Sunbathing to enjoy the warm Nepalese sun.

Sandeep reminded them not to rest too long. because there are still many interesting spots to see along this track because it is harvest season and children are being shut down from school to help parents harvest their fields.

That's right Sandeep said. Vira takes many pictures of children who help transport the crops on his shoulders. The Indian-faced women who were beating barley.

Mas Une, Mas Cokro, and Mas Dodi do not seem to like to photograph the activities of the locals as much as Vira. With a long trail of steps, they had already disappeared from sight.

Sandeep said some Nepalese men left their families to work in Dubai and Malaysia as construction workers. Leaving the woman and her son to take care of the family farm.

After passing through the school and crossing the large bridge connecting the two mountains, they walked towards the forest. This time it was not a Rhododendron tree but a green forest with a large tree that tightly covered the incoming sunlight.

The air becomes cooler and humid.

“Sandeep, I think I’m a little bit scare now [Sandeep, I think I am starting to fear!],” said Vira.

Then Vira began to accelerate his path following Sandeep and Bobby who were twenty meters in front of him and did not realize there was a stone sticking out on the path through which he passed. Vira fell and sprained.

“Aaaaaah, sakiiiit,” erang Vira complain of pain

The sound of Vira's moaning made Bobby and Sandeep turn their heads. Bobby then runs towards Vira.

“Why Vir? Your leg hurts?” asked Bobby while looking at the ankle that Vira had been holding.

“I think I sprained Bi,” said Vira while grimacing.

“Gue check yes!” said Bobby.

Carefully Bobby took off Vira's shoes. His hands began to squint in the area of his ankle. I don't know what Bobby did that made Vira scream in pain. However, the pain gradually disappeared and left only frowns.

“Bi, koq can anyway? Jago deh lu,” praise Vira.

“Who was, Obiiiiiiiii............”.

Sandeep who had just taken a serious look now started to smile.

“Can the road not Vir? Do I need to carry? I'm strong koq,” asked Bobby

“Hahaha, be kanda aja lu Bi, again gini also.”

“My serious, Vir!”

“Au ah's. Help me to stand up. Still can koq walk!” sahut Vira's.

With the help of Bobby and Sandeep, Vira started to stand up and walk slowly on the spot. Not too sick like that.

“That's Bi, it's not sick anymore, just a little frown doang,” said Vira convinced Bobby not to worry.

The journey to the restaurant for lunch takes longer because Vira runs very slowly.

Even what was a bit frustrating Bobby at first was when he and Vira were defeated by Mr. Kim, a 75-year-old Korean climber.

Bobby was shocked when Sandeep said that many South Koreans and Europeans aged 60 years and over took part in the expedition to Annapurna Base Camp.

Sontak Bobby and Vira immediately invite Mr. Kim took a picture together. I don't know how many photos Vira took to photograph Bobby and Mr. Kim and apparently Mr. Kim has no objection to this. Even Bobby asked for Mr.'s signature and e-mail address. Kim to contact him.

Mr. Kim then passed by faster leaving the three of them behind. Bobby laughed happily and repeatedly said that the sprained leg of Vira brought blessings to him.

This made Vira smile, at least reducing her feelings of guilt for slowing down the climb.

Arriving at the restaurant there was a message from Mas Une aimed at Bobby and Sandeep.

Mas Une with Mas Cokro and Mas Dody left first and could not wait for them at the restaurant because it was too long. Mas Une also paid the meal money for Sakar and Satya, their porter so Sandeep did not have to pay anymore.

After eating, Bobby ordered Sandeep to stop by the souvenir shop near the restaurant. Earlier, while passing through it, Bobby noticed that there were several bracelets and necklaces with unique motifs. Sandeep went to the toilet without telling Vira first.

Vira who is engrossed in her gadget realizes the absence of Bobby and Sandeep. Bobby and Sandeep in the restaurant did not meet.

Vira's getting nervous. He finally decided that he would continue on his own journey. Vira is sure if he first departs anyway will be followed by itself. Or if he is left, surely later will be awaited by Bobby and Sandeep.

Vira then stepped towards the open path that was next to the restaurant. There is a board that says Old Chhomrong with an arrow heading up.

Several large purebred Nepali dogs accompanied him on his way to Old Chhomrong. It seems that they are tame because they have often met with many foreigners.

After Vira walked for about a kilo, faintly heard voices calling her name from the bottom. Vira is sure Bobby and Sandeep will soon catch up. Vira kept walking with her legs no longer painful.

Vira's steps stopped. It turned out that there was a crowd of cows blocking the path he was about to walk. The cows that lined the length and filled the road left only a little space on the right side adjacent to the gorge.

Vira waited for about ten minutes but the cows did not move in the slightest. Vira is waiting for other climbers who will pass this road but not seen one. The voices that called out to him were no longer heard.

Forced Vira to return and go to one of the residents' houses. Ask for help to drive out the cows that may be theirs.

“You choose the wrong way; this is an old way. You should go back upstairs and choose the path downward [You picked the wrong path, this is the old road. You have to go back up again and choose the road that leads down],” replied one of the young people who are locals.

Vira is lucky to meet locals who speak English well.

Vira had to go down another mountain. It's faster. This means Vira had to pass through the restaurant earlier. It turned out that there had been waiting for some people from the restaurant employee who greeted him.

“Are you Vira from Indonesia? You better hurry and go this way, please [Are you Vira from Indonesia? You must quickly follow and please pass this direction].”

Vira followed the direction of one of the officers to the right side of the path he had passed.

It turns out that there are two roads, only the downhill road does not look well. Even the writing of New Chhomrong with arrows heading down is also not clearly visible from above. He deserves to be lost, he wrote in his heart.

The road below is more sloping without having to go up and down. All the way quiet without any other climbers. It seemed that all had arrived at the lodge and only he was left on this hiking trail.

In the sunyinya ascent, Vira remembered with Kosa. Is Kosa thinking about it? For three days he could not send and receive news from Kosa.

Apparently, at the end of the path split into two parts and there is no sign of what path the climber must go to New Chhomrong. Vira fell silent. He just let himself sit and wait. More than half an hour without any certainty he will choose which path.

There was a local resident, an old man carrying a sack of grass and also holding a sickle. Looks like we've been mowing grass for animal feed.

The old man who came from the right lane waved at Vira and invited her to follow him towards the left lane. Vira could not understand the language used. Despite holding the sickle but Vira trusts to walk after it.

After about half an hour of walking, there are rock climbs and some hotels and even houses are visible.

The faint looks of two people he knew were waiting on top of the ramp. Sakar and Satya. Vira's face turned very happy.

He said thank you so many times to the kind old man. Even Vira took her selfie as a memory with her savior.

The penis helps to take the backpack away from him despite its light content. Satya gave an incredible smile. They lead Vira to the lodge.

There were many people there welcoming him. It wasn't just Sandeep who approached her. Bobbi hugged him tightly in an instant. Mas Une and Mas Dody stroked his head. Even Mas Cokro smiled relievedly at him. Other climbers also encouraged that they were happy to see Vira coming to the lodge safely. It's heartwarming.
