Romance In Makara Orange
It's Always Darkest Before the Dawn Part 2

Mirna almost hit her brother's body when unannounced steps Vira stopped just in front of him.

“Ih Brother, stop at will anyway!” mirna protested what had just happened.

Mirna looked towards the table they were going to occupy. Visible by Mirna's eyes there was Kosa who was staring straight with a look of shocked eyes towards her Brother. Kosa was with three women who looked the same age as him.

“Eh, Sister Kosa is here,” greet Mirna break the silence of Vira.

Kosa got up and walked over to Vira.

“Vir, are you here?” ask Kosa quietly almost like a whisper.

Vira's tongue was silent, Kosa's gaze to him seemed to freeze every word he wanted to say. Kosa realized this.

“Vir, wait a minute ya!”

Trisha, Niken, and Fransiska. He apologized that he could not eat with them.

“Myrna, have you eaten?” ask Kosa to Vira's sister.

“Where are Kosa? Mirna hasn't eaten yet. Don't get left behind.”

“You want to eat with them?” ask Kosa while pointing towards Trisha, Niken, and Fransiska.

“Ah, do not want Kak, Mirna does not know,” replied Mirna while shaking her head.

“Please Mir, just a minute. Eat it yourself first! Sister has the same business Vira,” pinta Kosa expectantly.

Mirna was forced to nod and look for her own table. He thought this was better than sharing with three women who were completely unknown to him.

Kosa leads Vira up the stairs to the second floor of Cafe Drizzle. Towards an empty table located on the back balcony. Just the two of them there. It was as if the universe was giving them space and time to talk.

Vira's eyes were red and teary. Water piled up in his eyes but held back and never came down.

Kosa grabbed Vira and got closer to her body. Let Vira blow away what is in her heart and mind. Letting Vira's tears be the temporary answer that Kosa needs.

The gurgling sound of water began to be heard in Kosa's ears as Vira's sobbing came to a halt.

“Already?” ask Kosa slowly who was replied with a nod of Vira.

“Abang, Vira apologize.”

“Abang also apologized yes, do not contact Vira all this time!”

They then fell silent. Although there is a lot to talk about but the spoken apology can make the existing disturbing feelings become calmer.

“You eat? Hungry, right?” ask Kosa.

Vira smiled. His stomach that sounded could not keep a lie even in this kind of atmosphere though.

“You eat here, both the same Brother or under the same Mirna?” ask Kosa back.

“Under aja Bang, same Mirna,” replied Vira while rubbing her itchy nose and reddened by crying for quite a long time.

They go downstairs to find Mirna playing with her phone. Trisha, Niken, and Fransiska are gone. His desk was cleaned by a Cafe employee.

“Mir, move to back aja yuk!” take Kosa who comes up to Mirna, take her to her favorite table.

“It's already Brother? Koq no sound?” ask Mirna ngasal.

Kosa ruffled Mirna's hair. “This you, by the way is always funny! Why not eat?”

“Nungguin Kak Vira, if you eat first fear not being paid,” replied Mirna grinning.

They ate three. Kosa and Vira seem to not care much about what they will eat so let Mirna choose her menu. Mirna was busy talking to Kosa while Vira was more silent.

“Until when does it cost in place of Natha, Mir?” ask Kosa while sipping iced milk coffee.

“Until completion of OBM aja Kak, ntar back home. His college is also starting in early September. Later costs again but only a little,” said Mirna while stirring the sweet iced tea to cool and sweet evenly.

“You can go home by yourself no Mir?” ask Kosa.

Sin laughs. “Yaudah ushered deh but later pinjem Viranya yes!”

“Take no need to be reversed,” said Mirna upset.

------------------------------------------------------------

After delivering Mirna back to Natha's boarding house, Kosa took Vira both ways. Down the direction of the small road that connects the Kukusan Kelurahan with Kukusan Teknik. They both walked, clasped hands and didn't say much.

“You to where to cost Abang?” ask Kosa.

Vira nodded. They need only two empty spaces to talk. Heart to heart talk. Maybe the Kosa boarding place is the right place for this.

The boarding house occupied by Kosa looks like an old model house, in contrast to the Natha boarding house whose building is still new, strong, and sturdy. This Betawi-style house has a large terrace and filled with bamboo chairs. There was a white-colored board inscribed with words that made Vira smile. “Guests Are Enough To Be Here, Enter Room Directly to KUA.”

“You're in Brother's room?” ask Kosa with a serious face.

Vira laughs. His finger was faced towards the white board and then shook his head.

“Abang is ready whenever Vira wants,” says Kosa nyengir.

“Abang ngaco ah!” vira.

They sat quietly on the long bamboo chair. The color of the pelitur brown has faded, leaving the original color of dry bamboo shabby.

Both Vira and Kosa are trying to put together the right words to convey. So that there is no mispronunciation or that makes the heart languish.

“Abang .....” said Vira started the conversation.

“Vira want to break up from Abang?” tanya Kosa suddenly interrupted Vira's words.

“Abang to break up?” Vira asked back. His face pias in surprise with Kosa's words just now.

“Absolutely do not want. It's just that I thought that Vira wanted to break up.”

Kosa looked at Vira whose eyes started to turn red. There was a puddle in the corner of his eyes that started to descend slowly.

“Abang..Abang, Vira apologize. Really sorry.”

Sin took Vira. “Abang trust Vira, don't apologize. Brother believe!”

Vira's voice mixed with sobs though slowly sounded.

“Abang, Mas Cokro already kissed Vira and Vira replied to her kiss. Vira is really sorry.”

Sin was silent for a moment. His grip loosened. Not expecting the words he just heard. Like a deafening bang and making him lose consciousness. Kosa doesn't know what to answer. Stare straight ahead, though with a view that begins to shadow.

The pain that had arisen when Vira was wearing an umbrella with the man when it rained was back. Folded into Kosa's chest. The blow that made the energy in his body heat up. His hands clenched tightly and wanted to feel like hitting something. A blow that was able to dissipate that energy. A blow that could ease the heat he felt.

Vira fell silent. Realizing her confession which made Kosa stretch her embrace. Looking at Kosa's shaking fist. Vira prepared with the words of Sin that would make her heart ache. Vira waited for the words in silence.

Lama Kosa sculpting. Until his fist opened again. Until his body temperature subsides. Until the shadow in his eyes disappeared again and gained his focus. He saw that Vira was still downcast and a little sobbing.

Realized how this woman had long made her heart happy. But it also made his heart ache and sick. There was no willingness in his heart over what the man had done to Vira. But there was not the slightest desire to release Vira.

He re-entered Vira's shoulder to stick with his shoulder.

“Vira want Brother how?” ask Kosa slowly.

Vira fell silent.

“Vira want us to break up?” ask Kosa again.

Vira remained silent.

“If Vira is happier with him, Brother willingly,” said Kosa trying to make love.

Vira who was silent and downcast now looked at Kosa's face. He held the hand of the man he had just hurt. There is a courage that comes up to say this. The courage present saw the attitude that Kosa showed her. Courage because there was fear that approached him if he lost this man.

“Abang………. Vira loves you brother. Don't let go of Vira! Keep Vira always yes Bang!”
