Romance In Makara Orange

Romance In Makara Orange
Proposal

Traffic at Rebo Market tonight is quite crowded even though it is past the hours of work. The passengers of mikrolet number 19 have started to come down and leave a pair of lovers who are still talking to each other. The man in the light blue shirt stared intently at the dark blue veiled woman who was matching his jeans.

“Vir, you are sure you want to marry. But, you have to graduate college first yes!” kosa said, a pure white man.

The woman kept quiet while Kosa kept talking about her desire to get married. In his heart he made many unspeakable statements.

Duuh, koq yah ngajak marriage in angkot anyway? Not romantic at all. He imagines a movie scene where the man kneels with a diamond ring and a bunch of red roses in a fancy restaurant accompanied by a violin friction. Aaaah, dream!

Vira looked at Kosa in silence. Looks like Kosa is confident that Vira will accept her marriage request. Oh, that's it, he thought. Let Kosa talk at length.

When Kosa talked about graduating from college, Vira so think about the proposal of the script returned by Mr. Irsyam, his guidance lecturer. All the sheets in his proposal were full of notes. His theory was not correct and Mr. Irsyam asked Vira to read one of the theory books on foreign-issued military civil relations that he knew would be difficult to find.

The sound of a microlet driver broke this one-sided conversation. “Sorry Ma'am and Mas, get off here! I want to turn around because the front is jammed so much”, said Mr. Driver.

Rushing Kosa and Vira down from the microlet and walked towards the side of the road opposite it. Waiting for City Buses to Bekasi relatively less than in the usual t-junction. Occasionally Kosa talks about the plan that was delivered and sometimes also be overwritten Vira with short sentences or a smile. A long night.

Elvira Kinanti

It's been over a year since Vira and Kosa have been in love. Kosa is a one-year senior in his department, Faculty of ISIP one of the government-owned Universities in Depok.

Actually the age of Kosa and Vira is three years adrift, but Kosa only entered college at the campus with the logo of orange makara during the third year after two years before becoming a State University student in Yogyakarta. Despite being seniors and juniors, they were only close in Vira's third year of college, when Vira and Kosa took the same course, Politics in the Middle East.

Remembering his initial interaction with Kosa. “Vir, can I talk to you for a minute?"

Tetiba Kosa approached Vira who was cleaning up her college books. Vira and her group have just finished their presentation which also marks the end of the lecture.

“Oh yes, what's up Kak?” ask Vira.

There was a feeling of surprise because it was only this first time that Kosa asked her to speak. Usually Vira only sees her friends chatting with her senior about her duties or research. He himself is just the type of student who only goes to college and not others.

“Mosca's elite theory used to analyze Saddam Hussein's Ba’ath Party in Iraq is less fitting, because the study is not structurally hierarchical,” explained Kosa in a soft tone without patronizing.

“Oh is it, brother? Why was not all of you asked about the presentation of Kak?” Asked Vira while looking at Kosa somewhat gloatingly.

“More direct same lo kayak gini, said Kosa with a smile. Success yes later the repair!”

Vira smiled after saying thanks for the input Kosa gave. In his heart, Vira felt strange, did not understand why this senior had to explain his theory even though during the presentation, the lecturer also had no complaints about his group paper.

Ah, nevermind. Later he discussed, his hungry stomach and tired after his suffering presentation made him not too interested in listening to Kosa's explanation. For two days now Vira is sleep deprived because he is busy preparing his paper. The other two friends were not very helpful and he just resigned, not much hope.

Kosara Dwinanta

This was her fourth year of studying at one of the top Universities in the Capital. His days haven't changed much. In addition to taking a problem choice seminar to determine the topic of his script, he only took a few elective courses just to meet the credit credits that are lacking. Not very much.

The next semester he will focus on the thesis only. However, there are two courses that are attended but require sufficient attention because the lecturer is too busy working outside the campus. It seems like more than half a semester he actually taught compared to his lecturer. And there are some research runs in the Study Center that asked him as a field coordinator in some areas such as Serang, Bogor, and Bekasi but it was not intensive, only asked to help by the main researcher.

Today there is a Politics course in the Middle East, one of the elective courses to meet less credits credits.

At first he was looking for elective courses that would fit the topic of his script that focused on Indonesian politics. It turned out that all internal courses had been taken. Want to take courses between faculties seems a bit troublesome because the administration must be taken care of itself. Imagining the back and forth between faculties seems to be a waste of time. Finally he chose a political course outside Indonesia.

Politics in the Middle East is interesting. There are several countries discussed and weekly group presentations. The lecturer is still young, a five-year senior on it, so ask to be called by the call of Mas Syahran only. He is also active in the Study Center.

Kosa felt, he was not too difficult to study this course. After paying attention to her surroundings, it seemed like only her senior had entered in this course. Another student turned out to be his junior in a different interest.

Kosa saw that he recognized most of the participants of this course, especially women. Some of them often ask for help themselves to choose the right theory for a presentation paper or assignment. Some male students are also often invited to participate in research.

This time the group that advanced the presentation there were three students, two women and one man. Kosa only recognizes one of the women, Santi, because he often chat with her. The other woman must be named Elvira. Kosa realized that she had only known the woman this time.

When the presentation, Vira seems to dominate the direction of the discussion, almost all questions are mostly answered by Vira. Kosa suspects that the presentation paper was made by Vira and two other students only contributed a little.

Everyone seemed satisfied with the presentation of this group but only Kosa realized that the theory used was not appropriate. It feels like asking but it seems like this will reduce the hue of satisfaction that appears on the faces of the wearers. Finally it was decided later to talk directly in person after the lecture ended.

“Vir, can I talk to you for a minute?"

Kosa approached Vira who was tidying up her college books. Other students have dropped out of class..

“Oh yes, what's up Kak?” ask Vira.

Vira's face showed a slightly surprised look. There was no smile like the other students when she talked to them

“Mosca's elite theory used to analyze the Ba’ath Party in Iraq is less fitting, because the study is not structurally hierarchical,” he explained.

Past sin explains the difference between hegemony and building unconsciousness as a form of obedience to the ruler that should be the benchmark with elite study in institutional structures.

“Oh is it, brother? Why was not all of you asked about the presentation of Kak?” ask Vira who made Kosa a bit surprised.

His face did not seem very friendly. Does Vira know this Kosa is her senior. This different treatment makes it like it's not the usual Kosa.

“It's better to go straight to kayak gini," said Kosa with a smile, covering his surprise.

"Successful yes later the repair!” Kosa passed by leaving Vira who did not seem to care much about her help earlier.
