I Won't Give Up

^I Will Not Give Up

Vira felt that Mr. Faisal was doing a plonco on him as a new apprentice. The prejudice is really negative for what happened just now. There is a sense of annoyance that is impossible to convey literally and can only be replaced with a smile full of understanding.

“I'm sorry Mom, so I have to how” asked Vira to the woman sitting at the table near the door.

“Contact Mr Faisal first yes! Internship student affairs must indeed pass through Expert Staff. I'm here administrative section,” advice the woman.

“If you can know, whose name is Mom?” ask Vira with a sigh.

“Call me Bu Fatmah only,” she replied smiling.

“Bu Fatmah, sorry, if you may know the canteen here where ya?” ask Vira who seems to be unable to be undermined the sound of her stomach voice.

“On the first floor there is Cafeteria, but if students usually like to Kantin Pujasera or in Risanti many choices and cheap. Later you go down the question truck just the same security guard in Lobby,” explained Bu Fatmah.

“Thank you Mom. I permission first yes Ma'am, want breakfast first, it was not time,” said Vira asked for permission answered with a smile Bu Fatmah.

It is not difficult to find Pujasera canteen which is located not far from the motor park. There are many shops open with various options. Vira's eyes are lazy to explore because the sound in his stomach has become more and more. Immediately Vira ordered Padang vegetable lontong and sweet iced tea that she first saw. It looks like this menu can restore the energy that receded due to berjibaku with a tiring trip earlier.

Eating red coconut milk with a little cut of jackfruit vegetables, long beans, and fern leaves. With the addition of balado eggs and red sago crackers make the spirit of Vira reappear. The sweat on his face began to drip due to the fusion brought about by the spicy taste and the hot air of the canteen.

Finish eating sliced iced sweet tea that neutralizes the spiciness and reduces the sweat. So much fun.

Vira then pulled out her phone from the brown knitting bag. There are notifications from several applications installed on his phone. Vira opened her chat message first. Wanted to preach what had just been passed to Kosa. But it turns out his eyes were pounded on a message from Mr. Faisal who had been there since fifteen minutes ago.

You where? I waited for it to disappear

Vira immediately rushed back to the Lobby of Gedung Nusantara and took care of the re-entry permit. With half a run Vira passed the meeting room and headed for the elevator to the top floor. Some people looked at him with strange looks. Like someone chasing a plane.

Vira held her breath carefully before knocking on the door. Slowly darkened her sweaty face with dry wipes and tidied up a little of her light blue shirt shirt stuffed into her black cotton pants. Vira knocked on the door and went straight into the office of Mr. Herman, a member of Commission 3.

“Loh, Mba Elvira koq here? Earlier Mr. Faisal said Mba Elvira was told to meet at the first floor Cafeteria,”, said Bu Fatmah who was shocked by Vira's arrival again.

“Oh, ready Mom, I'm there!” sahut Vira and immediately turned back his steps. But suddenly stopped.

“Bu Fatmah, may I ask? Mr Faisal's his face is like how?” vira said shyly.

“I'm afraid of wrong people later, because the photo in his WA Mr. Faisal is a photo of a small child of two people,” he continued.

Ms. Fatwah laughed amusedly hearing that.

Taken one of the picture frames from the table located at the end near the windows and doors of the closed room. Vira suspects that it's Mr. Herman's room.

“This is Mr. Faisal. Still young, her two children, all the heroes,” pointed Bu Fatmah to a photo of a clean-skinned man hugging two boys with a big smile.

Vira smile. “Thank you Miss Fatmah. Ready. I'll see Mr. Faisal immediately below!”

It seems like Vira has started to feel part of this building. Not until noon, he had gone up and down twice. See the passerby in formal clothes. Holding document files, chatting with each other or busy with his gadget. The view is a little different from the atmosphere on the campus.

Vira found a man who was similar to the photo shown by Ms Fatmah sitting down to enjoy a cup of light brown coffee while playing her phone.

“Good morning Mr. Faisal. Introduce me Elvira Kinanti, an intern who will work with Mr. Herman Sasongko,” said Vira.

The young man who turned out to be more handsome than his picture smiled. “Please sit Mba Elvira. I'm Faisal Harahap, Expert Staff Pak Herman Sasongko.”

“Sorry Mr. Faisal, I thought you were at the airport to take Mr. Herman, so I went downstairs for breakfast. Sorry sir!”

“Oh, I was just ahead because Mr. Herman wants to go to Yogyakarta, ask for licensing documents and there are some that must be signed Mr.”

“Pak Faisal is not coming to Yogya with Mr Herman?” ask Vira.

“If the recess period will definitely come, but this is for personal use only. Mr. Herman was diligent to Yogya once a month,” explained Mr. Faisal.

Vira smiled and heard it. It seems like the guess about the figure of Mr. Faisal that he had been thinking about since last night and had changed drastically.

“Not Sir!” vira replied in an embarrassed tone as it did show her unpreparedness.

“Pak Herman the senior politician. Last period Mr who became Chairman of Commission 3 but now want to be more relaxed. He had a law firm but is now taken care of by his partner. Entrepreneur as well but now his business is held the same as his first daughter. His son has three. Number two is now again a business lecture in the UK, and the third one at UI is like you, an engineering child and just graduated last semester.”

Vira listened carefully. In his heart asked why Mr. Faisal told about Mr. Herman's family when Vira was only an intern at the office.

“Pak Herman is good with his staff. I love being invited to our family events later. His wife, Miss Ruth, likes to make good cakes, likes to send here too. So you will know his family too!” obviously Mr. Faisal seemed to answer the question Vira only revealed in the heart.

“If my tasks are here how about Sir?” ask Vira to make sure.

“You have received the job description, right? Yeah, not far from that. Just relax. Later you work with the administrative staff of Bu Fatmah, there will be IISIP children who are in Lenteng Agung who are also interns here. But he could only come in next week. Mr. Herman's expert staff is actually two, I'm the same Mba Putu. But yesterday Mba Putu went on maternity leave. So I live alone. Coincidentally you came, so later you can do the tasks that are usually done Mba Putu. Can ya?”

“Each Sir, I can!” vira said with great enthusiasm.

“You can start an internship today?” asked Mr. Faisal to ask about Vira's readiness.

“Each Sir, I can!”

“You brought the required internship documents?” ask Mr. Faisal again.

“You need it to make an internship card and permission to enter here. Finished from here, you take care of it in the general, then ask the same location security guard in the front lobby. After your business call to Mr. Herman's office again.”

“Siap Sir, I'll work immediately!”

Today Vira was really tired. The journey home to Depok is as exhausting as the journey away in the morning. The city buses that run along Gatot Subroto are crowded and slow walking along with private cars that fill the road. Commuter line trains to Depok are crowded with people in shirts who go home from work.

Vira arrives at UI Station at seven p.m. His stomach is hungry. Looks like Vira will be able to spend two servings of his favorite Cak Wit chicken pecel.

Seen outside UI Station, Kosa was sitting on her old gray Vespa, waiting for her.

“Ih Brother on time, kereeen,” praise Vira by giving her best smile.

“What the hell is it that does not make beloved Brother?” sahut Kosa with his fist.

“Eat yuk Bang! Vira is hungry. From earlier the stomach sounds continue,” invite Vira who immediately sat in the back seat after wearing her helmet.

“You all with Mirna gak?” tanya Kosa while turning on her motor machine and began to walk slowly down the direction to the Faculty of Psychology towards the motor exit in front of the Faculty of Engineering

“Ah don't want to. Meet Mirna at home. Males when he met, who had even asked to be treated by his luggage. You know Mirna eats a lot.”

“You koq is the same sister. Mirna's eating a lot because you're her sister.”

“Mean Brother?”

“Eh, where to eat?” tanya Kosa switched the conversation.

“Abang koq didn't answer Vira's question anyway. What does it mean?”

“Abang that was bought today. Vira is free to choose where to eat.”

“Totally?”

“Iya, really dong for dear Brother.”

“Vira wants to eat at chicken pecel at Cak Wit. Want two portions. But it's true that you are treated to Brother?” vira asked again to convince Kosa's answer.

“Iya,” answered Kosa accompanied by a crisp laugh. The sound of laughter approaching Vira's ears because it was carried by the cold night breeze. However, the cold was unable to penetrate the warmth that surrounded Vira's heart today.

What an amazing day. There are new experiences given with different challenges and Vira is sure to be able to live it well.

He hugged the man who was riding a motorcycle in front of him. Vira rested her head on the man's back. Smelled by the smell of bath soap and the smell of vanilla and musk that had felt his nose some time ago. So soothing.
