Romance In Makara Orange

Romance In Makara Orange
Nostalgia in Yogyakarta

The Argo Lawu train will leave at eight nights less. Not much stuff was brought. Kosa only carries a backpack containing several pieces of clothing and research equipment including a permit.

Kosa got a seat in the middle row of the car next to the restaurant car. He saw that there were three teenage girls who had sat and one of them took his seat, aisle seat.

“Sorry, that's my seat,” said Kosa pointing towards the chair occupied by the bespectacled woman with shoulder-length hair.

The woman looked towards Kosa but still did not move from her chair.

Sin was silent, standing still waiting for the teenage girl to shift to the seat next to him. But he didn't do it either.

“Sorry, you have to move. That's my chair,” said Kosa in a slightly loud tone.

The teenage girl was shocked. “Kalem wae to Mas [Obviously],” slowly and then move to the next seat.

Kosa took a breath. Dealing with a teenager of the same age as a high school kid doesn't seem like a fun option.

Placed his small backpack on a shelf of goods located on top of his chair. Removed cell phone and earphone from his thin jacket pocket. Listening to music may be a fun option to accompany him to Yogyakarta.

---------------------

These three teenagers could not stand still and Kosa was disturbed by the whispers of their conversation. He saw a digital clock on his left arm. Time has shown at half eleven o'clock in the evening. These teenage boys still seemed excited to chat without feeling tired.

“Wah, tesih dangu nggih met sister level, selak mboten patient je [Okay, still a long time to meet kating nih, can't wait to be], and,” a dozen teenage girls in red who sit right in front of Kosa.

“Wong sinau wae dereng lo, koq yo mpun kepengin met brother level lo [Learn aja not yet koq ya have thought of kating],” sahut who has glasses with shoulder hair.

“Urip ki endah, kedah planned to humale kawit early [Life is beautiful, must be planned beauty since the beginning],” replied the red shirt while laughing out loud.

“Hahahaha, jenenge niku iso ae lo [Hahaha, you can only],” says the glasses again

The other woman, who was sitting by the window just smiled at the conversation of her two friends and occasionally looked. His hands are actively playing on his phone.

Suddenly Kosa's curiosity because of this conversation appeared.

“Lecture nang ndi [lecture where]?” ask Kosa.

“Eh,” in unison the three turned towards Kosa.

“University of Indonesia Mas,” replied the red shirt with pride. Looks like this one teenage girl is easy to get along with according to the analysis of Kosa.

“Faculty opo [What Faculty]?” ask Kosa again.

“FISIP mas but different majors. We both take communication if he takes politics,” replied the red shirt while pointing to the glasses woman sitting next to Kosa.

“Walah, sister level dong! Ntar you meet me deh,” said Kosa laughed. His language was changed to campus slang.

“Kakak son communication?” asked the red shirt back with a face that still looked surprised.

“Not, I'm a political boy,” says Kosa.

Now, replace the women with glasses with a shoulder-length hair that is shocked. Unexpectedly, the man she met turned out to be a senior on campus.

“What's the conclusion of political sister?” ask the glasses, not expecting.

“Lu just open Ig Political Student Association, ntar you can see my photos there,” seloroh Kosa full of confidence that makes the glasses silent for a long time.

“Kakak want to go back to Java?” ask the teenager in black who was silent.

“You research to Bantul, make a thesis,” replied Sin honestly.

“Iya Kak, already a week in Depok. Just bring the goods to the same boarding streets around campus.”

“Koq back again?”

“Iya, OBM [student learning orientation] is still a month away and the lecture is only starting in September. So go home first Brother,” is clearly the black dress.

“Oh, so. See you at the college. I'll sleep first!”

“Good Brother!” said the three of them almost simultaneously.

Finally Kosa closed her eyes. The atmosphere became quieter than before and made it easier to sleep.

The alarm on Kosa's phone sounded. It's two in the morning. There is still about an hour before disembarking at Tugu Station, Yogyakarta.

He saw that the two teenage girls in front of him were still sleeping soundly but not with the little girl sitting next to him. Reflected from the glass, the image of her and the glasses girl who was looking towards the window. I don't know what I saw from the dark outside.

“Not sleeping?” greet Kosa slowly.

“Eh, not yet Brother. I can't sleep on public transport. Later at home.”

“Person Solo?” guess Kosa.

“Yogya Brother, original Tegalrejo.”

“Walah deket dong,” said Kosa shocked.

“The original sister of Tegalrejo too?”

“Oh, no. My research.”

“Away Kak, Bantul different regencies.”

“Deket lah, equally Yogya,” kilah Kosa while laughing.

Their conversation made the two teenage girls in front of him wake up. Before long, Kosa then met the three of them. It turns out that these three friends are from the same High School. One of the famous SMA in Yogyakarta who decided to study away from parents to make it easier to work in Jakarta later.

-----------------------------------

After disembarking, Kosa took a short break at Tugu Station, waiting until dawn.

There's still about an hour and a half left to check his phone. Still no word from Vira. The Fesbuk post is still old, there are no new additions. Kosa let out a long sigh, there was a stifled longing that left her confused. Like a teenager whose only responsibility is kasmaran.

After dawn, Kosa walked towards Malioboro to wait for the bus to go to the terminal. Later from the new terminal will take a bus to Sedayu, Bantul and will be picked up by Joko who will accompany him during the research.

Malioboro is still quiet this dawn, not much past. Unlike the afternoon until evening which is full of people back and forth. Reminds me of the memories of four and five years ago while studying in Yogyakarta.

There are several small tents of angkringan rice that sell breakfast in small portions. Sin approaches him and begins to choose a special food that has long been missed. There is white rice with tempe orek and slices of omelet and sambal that tastes a little sweet that he chose and a glass of warm sweet tea that is suitable to start the morning in this gudeg City.

Remembering himself with Fahutan children at the beginning of college in Yogya always run every morning until Malioboro street. Enjoy a breakfast of rice pecel curry around Beringharjo. He took the bus home because his stomach was full.

Early college in Yogya, enjoying the city that makes itself calm without frenzy like in Jakarta. The atmosphere of the city makes him plan to settle in this city after graduating from college.

But fate says something else. His decision to move to college to be able to accompany his cancer-sick grandmother made all his plans change. There was no regret as it turned out that there were many beautiful things after that that that came to him.
