Mammon

He is restless waiting for the return of his son-in-law and grandson. After a surprise call this afternoon. Who got into the cell phone line giving from Agam for him.

Yep. Since deciding to continue his studies in Bandung, Agam specifically gave him a mobile phone.

"Your brother already has," he refused. Besides having no interest in the box-shaped object. He also includes people who stutter technology. Never knew how to use such advanced objects.

"That's got a sister," Agam laughed. "This is specifically held by Mamak. So at any time ... I can call directly without having to wait for brother."

He's still shaking.

"Come on, Mak," Agam insisted. "This is Anja who bought .. special for Mamak."

"He doesn't want me to forget to tell Mamak," Agam continued half-begging. "Later let the issue of charge pulse and others, taken care of the same Icad."

Finally he was willing to receive a mobile phone from Agam and Anjani. Although you have to learn how to use it first for days.

"This is how to pick up the phone in?" And he still found it difficult, to shift the green image as a sign of receiving incoming calls.

"The green-green is shifted, Grandma," Icad reminded repeatedly. "Not pressed."

"If pressed, the phone dies."

He chuckled, "Oh, it's appropriate .. Any well bit calling is never connected. Apparently because Grandma turned off her phone accidentally."

After a long time, then he was used to raising incoming calls without feeling any difficulty.

"Sir, today I came home late," Pocut said by telephone in a hasty voice.

"Icad has a problem. I got a call from his homeroom class to the police station."

"Subhanallah ..." he muttered without being able to hide any anxiety.

During raising and accompanying Agam, although often problematic in school, but Agam never deal with the authorities.

So when his grandson is the one to be taken to the police station, he can only pray for kindness. Hopefully the events that happened to Icad did not bring prolonged problems.

And now the night is late, but there are no signs of Pocut and Icad's return. He was waiting while finishing the warm shirt knit for Aran. In order to be used interchangeably when looking at his father in Bandung. Umay is watching television. And Sasa was playing on the carpet.

When there were footsteps entering the terrace. Following the greeting muttered by Icad.

"Goddessa ...." He welcomed his first grandchild home with great relief. Although surprised when Icad's face turned battered.

"Sir," Icad put a white crackle on the table, then kissed her hand. But he grabbed his grandson's shoulder.

"Why, Neuk (nak) .. battered like this?"

"Chuckle brawl," Icad replied with his head bowed.

"Astaghfirullahal'adzim ...." He breathed a long breath. "Friends?"

Icad nodded, "Same chord Boni was taken to the hospital."

"Innalilahi ...." He took a long breath again. "But they weren't seriously hurt?"

Icad shook his head, "Don't know until now."

He rubbed the head of the Icad that was getting higher.

"Which mom?" ask her with a frown. Because Pocut never showed up.

"After," Icad replied in passing.

He almost asked back about Pocut's whereabouts. But urung. Because Sasa who was busy playing dolls on the carpet, suddenly rushed to the front door while shouting cheerfully, "MAMA GO HOME!"

Get him up from his seat immediately. Come to the front door to welcome the arrival of Pocut.

But there he was just stunned. When he found the body staggering Pocut who was not ready to be hit by Sasa, restrained and protected by a man's arm.

"Night, Ma'am ...." Greet the man politely, with his head slightly nodding.

But instead of answering the greeting, he was astonished. Because the man's arm, ungainly still remained perfectly coiled along Pocut's shoulder. It became a pretty amazing sight.

He was still standing full of question marks. When Pocut with a gloomy face, trying to free himself from the embrace of the man.

Followed by Sasa's cheerful greeting, "EH! There's also Om?"

"Om coming here to see Sasa, huh, Om?"

As soon as Sasa came down from Pocut's sling, his first son-in-law went straight into the house in a hasty step. Leaving the man who was now crouching down and talking to Sasa.

"So you're not asleep?"

"Can you wait for Mama to come home" Sasa replied with a shy smile.

"This night ... Is Sasa not sleepy yet?"

Sasa shook his head with complete confidence.

"I can't sleep, Mom. If not nyium ketek Mama .. hihihi ..." replied Sasa with the style of his forehead. Laughing and closing your mouth with both hands.

While he still feels confused. Standing before the door observing the chatter of Sasa and the man. Then look inside the house. Looking for the invisible figure of Pocut again.

"WOW! HERE AGAIN?"

And he only realized after hearing the call of Umay. The one with half a run looks excited to meet the man in front of the terrace.

"Hello, Boss. Whatchur?" greet the man while sticking the palms together with Umay who put on a sparkling face.

Right then, he could feel something different. Something he was worried about a while ago. Now it finally came true.

I don't know what will happen in the future. May it be about goodness and happiness. But if they have to face the test, hopefully they can get through it well. And hopefully he can accompany Pocut and his three grandchildren with all his heart.

I hope that.

Wallahu a'lam (only God knows better).

Pocktail

He was washing his hands in the sink. When she came into the kitchen and asked.

"Have you eaten yet?"

He breathed a long breath tired.

"Eat first. There's still a side dish. Just heat up for a while."

Mamak is always welcome, anyone who visits the house.

Even though it was the landlord's grandfather's dozen grandchildren, who had come wanting to propose to him. Or the ungrateful man who wanted to make her his wife. Even his third schoolmate. Everyone was always well received. Always offered to eat and drink without exception.

"It's night now, Mom," he tried to quibble. In order not to have to provide food, for the man who is now joking with Umay and Sasa in the living room.

"It's not good with the neighbors" he continued with a grim face.

But Mama just smiled. Mamak has also turned on the stove to warm the gulai.

"See first" replied Mamak. "If you don't want to be okay."

He took a long breath again.

"However he is Agam's brother-in-law," continued Mamak who increasingly made him tired.

While he was still staring in front of the sink, Icad appeared at the kitchen door with a sleepy face.

"Hungry, Ma. Want to eat."

With a heavy heart, he finally went to the living room. Meet the man laughing with Umay and Sasa.

"Om, the gun's real huh, Om?" tanya Umay with a face full of curiosity.

"Temen I also have a gun you know, Om," but instead Sasa answered.

"When girls like Sasa, Om. But he likes to play the gun-borrowing pistol has his brother," continued Sasa in an all-knowing style.

"Oh, Sasa! Diem. My question has not been answered by the same Om!" gerutu Umay, who felt Sasa was too interfered.

"When is the call to play the doll, Om?" but Sasa still did not want to lose. "Especially if playing with Aunt Anja. It's really exciting to know."

"Sasa, sssstttt!" Umay put his index finger in front of his mouth. Asking Sasa to be quiet.

When he was still stunned by the enthusiasm of Umay and Sasa, suddenly Mamak's voice came from behind his back.

"Eat first, Neuk. Have you eaten yet?" asked Mamak while sitting on the living room chair.

"Icad wants to eat too. Let it be crowded," continued Mamak made him sigh in disbelief.

Tama looked straight at him. And subconsciously he shook his head as a gesture of rejection. But Tama just smiled knotfully while saying with complete calmness.

"Bye, Mom. I just happen to not have dinner."

He looked at Tama with a shriveled expression. But Tama actually looked at him while making a smile.

"Like coffee?" mamak asked again to make him sigh in disbelief. "There's a gayo coffee souvenir from Yah bit Hamdan after Lhokseumawe."

He gave a warning look to Tama. Hope the man rejects Mamak's offer and goes home soon.

But Tama who also continued to look at him while mengu lum smile instead replied steadily, "Coffee my favorite drink, Mom. Thank you so much for the offer."

He repeatedly shook his head as he scooped his dagger into the bowl. Can't believe he's stuck in an unpleasant situation again.

"I'm eating here, Ma" Icad muttered with an annoyed face. The one sitting there waiting for him in the kitchen.

While from the direction of the living room, the merrily babbling sounds of Sasa and Umay are still mutually unpretentious. The laughter of Mamak and Tama. Make him breathe out a long breath.

"I'm lazy to eat in front," continued Icad with a hardened face.

But he shook his head, "Eat together in front. Follow Grandma's words."

With a sullen face Icad helped him bring dishes and spoons into the living room. While he carried a tray containing a gulai bowl and a glass of water.

"Where are my plates, Ma?" sasa asked as he placed the bowl filled with gulai on the table.

"Will you eat too?" tanyanya. Because Sasa never ate through Isya's time. The reason is because it is sleepy and wants to quickly go to sleep.

Sasa nodded.

"I want to eat again too, Ma!" Umay raised his right hand high up. Like a student who wants to answer a question from a teacher.

"Want to eat too?" he asked again in astonishment. Umay is the hardest to eat for dinner. The reason is because it is still full. But now?

Umay nodded no less steadily like a nod of Sasa.

Making him breathe out a long breath while looking at the two empty plates that had been stored on the table. One for Tama, another for Icad.

"Awhile, Mama take it first," he replied as he turned around.

But not yet managed to reach the kitchen door, the typical bass sound managed to make him jump.

"Excuse me, Mum. I'm coming to the back."

He also wanted to run as far as possible. Then hide in the middle of nowhere that is not visible on the map. So that no one can find his existence.

But it's definitely an impossible thing.

Because reality must be faced.

Tama

He walked around Pocut, who was visibly upset when he heard his answer to an offer of food and coffee. Entering the kitchen which is darker atmosphere when compared to the living room. The lighting in the kitchen was even too dim in his opinion.

But he didn't say anything. Straight to the bathroom.

"Tomorrow still?" ask him pleasantries. While pulling the chair right beside Pocut stood up. Then sit down there.

Pocut.

"Picked up with Mr Hadi?"

Pocut nodded back.

He was about to ask again, but Pocut said in a slow voice, "Don't stay here long. Mama and the kids can misunderstand."

He smiles. While observing Pocut who is now storing a small spoon of used stirring coffee.

"How can they not misunderstand me?" one pretty tickling question popped out on its own.

Pocut looked at him not understanding.

"You think ... What should I do to avoid misunderstanding?"

Pocut frowned before saying, "Quickly return to the living room. Don't ask me to talk to you both like this."

"Okay," he nodded in agreement. "Now I am in the living room. Coffee let me bring it."

Pocut can be seen sighing long, when his hands stretched out to reach for the coffee that is still reflecting hot steam.

Pocut even directly turned his back on her and moved into the living room. Having previously had time to grab two plates and a spoon from the table.

"Are you the one who misunderstood me?" The question managed to stop Pocut's steps even though he did not immediately turn to him.

"What after all my words in the office ... actually makes you misunderstand me?"

Pocut turned around and looked at him with a puzzled face.

"Do I have to explain now so you don't misunderstand me?"

Pocut shook his head, "Nothing needs to be explained."

But he nodded, "There's something to explain."

Pocut returned to shake.

"I just had a failure" he said quickly before Pocut turned away.

Pocut looked at him not understanding.

And this made him laugh even without a sound, "To be honest I have failed before. Failed from the beginning."

"I don't have the right to hear this" Pocut shook his head.

"But I want you to hear it."

Pocut again shook his head, "I have to get to the living room right away. Sasa and Umay are waiting for the plate."

"Pokut ...." Ah, ja. Perhaps this was the first time he had called out the name of this beautiful woman so clearly. It feels foreign to his tongue. But enough to relieve the feeling.

"I'm interested in you."

Pocut looked at him with his mouth agape.

Making her laugh again despite remaining soundless, "This is beyond my expectations. I've never been like this before."

"I don't know what's going on either" he said with a smile. "But I know .. should immediately say it directly in front of you."

Pocut still gaped. Looked at him expressionlessly.

"Before .. I was a less sensitive and less caring person" he continued, looking down at the coffee cups in both hands.

"I also wonder why I can talk as bright as this as you," he looked back at Pocut who was still standing with a pias face.

"My relationship with my son is also not good. If you don't want to say bad," he continued, smiling bitterly to remember Reka.

"But strangely ... I can smoothly communicate with your children."

Pocut is seen exhaling long breaths with heavy.

"I could immediately like Sasa ... Umay," he said, showing his hands towards the living room.

"Icad may soon follow," this time he laughed. "He really looks like Reka. Exact same."

"So with all these unusual things .. I can draw a conclusion ...." He tried to smile.

"If we should meet often and talk."

Pocut.

"Let me know .. the answer to this unusual thing."

"Is it really something I've been looking for all this time or .. is just an illusion for a moment."

Pocut shook his head while looking at him with eyes that implied doubt.

"So maybe ... Can you help me by not avoiding?"

"We explain everything so there's no misunderstanding anymore."

"I ...." Pocut still looked at him in disbelief. "I don't know what to answer."

He laughed. This time a little voice.

"You don't have to answer anything" he laughed. "You helped me enough by not avoiding."

"After that it's up to you" he continued, staring at Pocut in earnest.

"Just by not avoiding?" ask Pocut masygul.

He nodded, "Only by not avoiding."

"That's all?" ask Pocut again.

"Not avoiding and we talk a lot" he said.

"Chat about?"

"About anything. All things," he answered quickly. "About all that could help me to find an answer."

"After that I promise ... will not bother you anymore," he tried to convince. Although far at the bottom of the heart rejects the statement outright.

Time will tell (time to speak).

"I've never talked much other than with my husband" Pocut said with his head bowed.

He nodded, "I've never even talked much with my ex-wife."

Pocut frowned in wonder looking at him.

"It's worse, right?" this time he laughed.

But Pocut grumbled, "How could he never talk to his own wife ...."

Slowly but still could be heard by his ears.

"It's really been a first for me" he said trying to convince. "I wonder why it could be this way."

"So .. can you help me?"

Pocut looked at him with an expression full of doubt.

He looked back at Pocut while nodding trying to convince.

It was then that Sasa's carefree voice burst into the kitchen, "Mama! Long awaited."

"Sasa already hungry," Sasa murmured while rubbing the stomach in the style of a starving person.

"Eh, even talking to Om here?" Sasa gave him an accusatory look but the fall was funny. Makes him unable to hold back his laughter.

"Om borrow Mama first yes .." he said between jokes but actually serious.

He heard Pocut sigh while giving him a disapproving look.

But Keburu Sasa replied with a typical carefree voice of children, "Bole. I can borrow Mama Sasa. But don't forget to return it, Om."

"I can't sleep if it's not the same with my mom."

And this again made him laugh. Accompanied by incredible relief. Like a heavy burden has broken itself.

The three of them returned to the living room. Accompanied by Cakra's mother's probing gaze towards him. But he pretended not to notice it.

He ate while listening to Sasa and Umay. While occasionally looking towards Icad who always put a sour face. Also Pocut who looks nervous and misbehaved whenever their eyes accidentally meet.

"Om go home first, yes" she said after spending a delicious plate of goulash and a steady cup of coffee.

"Thank you for that, Om," Sasa became the most enthusiastic in his response.

"Be careful, take care" he said towards Icad who stood behind Pocut with his head bowed.

"What do you say to me, Om?" umay won't miss.

He thought for a moment. Before finally saying, "Same Mama, yes."

Umay nodded with a big smile, "That's the hell ... gampaaang ...."

Then everyone laughed. Except Icad and Pocut of course.

Now he is in the car. Drove the wheel away from the place where her heart was covered with warmth. Look at the streets ahead that are starting to be quiet.

11:25 PM.

Time is displayed on top of the dashboard. It's been quite the night for his long trip today.

He had turned on the car audio so that the atmosphere was not too quiet. One radio channel was singing a song, which made him smile at himself.

"I want you to the bone

(I want you so much)

I want you to

(I want you)

Take me home, I'm falling'

(Bring me home, I'm in love)

Love me long, I'm rollin'

(My love is long, I'm happy)

Losing control, body and soul

(loss of control, body and soul)

Mind too for sure, I'm already your

(Mind is sure, I'm already yours)"

(Switch, To The Bone)

When his personal phone vibrates a sign there is an incoming call.

While continuously humming following the song that was playing, his hand was trying to grab the phone.

Anja Calling

He frowned for a while, before finally exclaiming cheerfully, "Hello, baby? What's the night-night call?"

"Mas ..." but Anja's voice across there sounded like someone was crying.

"Yep?" it shrinks the audio volume with a frown. "What's wrong?"

But Anja did not answer. Crying through a phone call.

Oh, shits! meaning in the heart.

Something must have happened.
