Chapter 05: The Appearance of the Devil

The next day we drove Mia to the city, even though she didn't like humans she said she wanted to buy clothes and weapons for both of us.

Using the hood as camouflage no one would realize that Mia was an elf.

First we visited the sewing shop, a series of multifaceted clothes filled each shelf.

I let Mai choose clothes for Rolia while I would choose according to my taste, I originally thought that this was an era in the past but was obviously different, she said, I would say that I have moved to another world.

That's what I believe now.

I picked up a long-sleeved white shirt, a black vest and trousers.

For Rolia choose a dress where the front is shorter than the back and a short skirt where the socks to the knees.

"It's too much, I look like a noble instead" protested Rolia but we both agreed to take it.

After we visited the equipment shop, I picked up a long sword while Rolia a slightly larger sword.

Our sword technique is different.

"Perfect, now we can go back home but before that do you want to eat something? I don't really like human food, but maybe you want it."

"I think that's a good idea, what do you think Jason is?"

"I agree too."

I told you Mia was so good, she always worried about both of us.

We buy roadside snacks in the form of processed meat.

"It's very tasty," said Mia who got a nod to Rolia, I'd say they were very familiar.

In the afternoon we went back to the elven forest but we were surprised by something that had happened there, the forest was burning.

"Dad."

We hurriedly broke through the smoke pool where the entire elf house had been scorched, I saw Leo chuckling on the ground and Mia immediately approached him.

"Well, is that you?"

"Dad."

Leo had lost the light in his eyes.

"Come from here, the demons have reappeared."

"Devil?"

"But I don't want to be with humans."

Leo said to me and Rolia.

"Sorry to trouble you both but I beg you to protect Mia for me. I don't want her to be lonely."

"We understand."

And then Leo let out his last breath, there was only a cry of Mia throughout our scene until an explosion occurred from the direction of the Settlement.

The fire was soaring and I saw a man coming out of it if I thought he looked more like a demon, he had two horns and wings and a tail behind his back.

"My name is Ilfrit, on the contract I agreed with my master, I must kill all of you."

I took two steps forward while pulling my sword.

"Rolia take Mia, I'll take a little time."

"I understand, don't die."

"I know."

At a time like this, Mia would not be able to fight, bringing her back was the right choice.

I only saw the departure of the two from where I stood.

"Woi, demon.. Who told you to do this?"

"I can't say it. Clearly my master wants to start his plan."

"What plan?"

Neither I nor Ilfrit moved with each other as we kept our distance in a circle.

"You don't want to answer my question, what plan? Is witch hunting also your master's plan?"

"I don't have to say it."

A fireball was fired at me until I had to roll to the side and then step forward.

Even if I die at least I can repeat everything.
