Chapter 02: Getting Out of the City

I had no time to think about it and directly held onto Rolia's hand to run with her.

The first time, I chose the path to the left which resulted in the death of both of us hence now I decided to choose the path to the right.

Some pursuers were still able to find us which made me pull Rolia's hand down the narrow alleys, she was stuck in place while adjusting her breathless breathing.

"I'm tired."

That's natural because we've been running for about 20 minutes.

There was a strange thing, the pursuer who had been chasing us seemed inaudible again, I focused my gaze to the end of the alley where there was a head lying just like that.

No, it was cut off from her body, I immediately pushed Rolia as a blade flew towards her.

"Missing, your moves are pretty good."

"Who are you?"

I asked the perpetrator and he jumped down with a happy expression, he looked like a mature woman in general, wearing clothes that showed the entire part of his chest while to his subordinates he wore tights.

"My name is Cherry, can you give that woman to me?"

From her voice it was clear she was the woman who had previously killed me.

"What if I refuse?" I asked back.

"I'll kill you both" he replied while playing with the knife, in other words he wanted Rolia dead.

"Don't worry I always kill quickly, I don't like to see someone die slowly."

I quietly grabbed a board near my feet, as expected when he threw it I well held it with wood and held Cherry's waist as he was about to run towards Rolia.

"Run fast! I'll hold it."

"But."

"Come."

I accidentally stepped on something to fall down which made Cherry jump on me while trying to push the knife I held with both hands.

Slowly my strength got weaker.

"Well, let me kill you.it doesn't hurt."

What do you know about pain? To be honest I have experienced what death is more the person who killed me was this person.

The knife was getting closer to me where the sharp edges gradually targeted my right eye.

I would have lost my eyes, when I thought that an iron rod hit Cherry's neck until she fainted and just fell on top of me.

I pushed her to the side and saw the figure of Rolia extend her hand.

"Let's go."

I received his white hand then ran towards the main gate, as for the people who were chasing us they were all dead horribly.

Their bodies were slashed down quite horribly, with just a knife he was able to do this kind of cruel thing, their necks pierced several times after death.

How appalling.

I threw my face away and with Rolia jumping into a carriage that had been checked by the gatekeeper, we both hid behind straw before we decided to descend secretly.

There will slowly be someone who realizes that we managed to escape by infiltrating the train, before that happens the two of us first step forward.

I picked up a pebble, threw it at the horse until it ran away while the coachman urinating in front of the tree immediately ran after it without fixing his pants first.

"Wait for me.. Where are you going?"

"A funny look" I murmured in my heart.

As for Rolia she just kept silent while covering her face in embarrassment.
