Chapter 27: Desire

I decided to barge inside, when Vilaina saw my whereabouts she shut her mouth so as not to make a sound.

"You?"

"Sorry come night and night, I just want to make sure of something."

"Only earlier?"

I nodded and continued.

"I hear you're not being treated well here?"

Vilaina sat on the bed and asked me to sit next to her.

"Do you think a bad person like me deserves good treatment?"

"Evil?" I reacted with that word.

"You probably won't believe it but all the orphanage residents who live here lost their families to me."

My body froze instantly.

"You're staying here to make up for it?"

"Right, I was a member of a criminal intent on destroying this city. back then this city was covered in flames even the child you met was one of its victims."

What the organization Vilaina said was an organization created by Laura. If so, it could happen.

I asked that and Vilaina nodded in agreement.

"I regret what I did and came here to pay for it" he said, though he had done wrong, it does not mean that everyone has the right to treat him badly.

I wanted to say that but I can't tell you, at the same time an explosion happened away from the two of us.

"What's that?"

I immediately glanced towards the window and saw the fire soaring high.

"Me-they're back."

"So they, I'll go. You remember everyone."

"Good."

I went back out the window and ran through the main street of the city, in front of me stood people who looked like delinquents.

They threw several bombs from their hands resulting in tremendous explosions in all directions.

"What the fuck? There's someone who wants to be a hero," one of them sent me a rude remark about 30 of them, can I fight them alone? There was no time to hesitate, I stepped forward while pulling the sword from my waist.

Trangs.

I held back one sword then switched to fending off the other, before long my group members sprung up.

Except for Yue who was hiding, all of them were in the fight.

"Ware..he's a witch."

"Fire Bolt."

"Uwaah."

Some of the criminals were easily flown into the air, some were getting punches from Rolia as well as Mia.

In just a short time we managed to defeat all of them and tie them together. The residents started crowding us all Yue came closer towards us.

"You saved us, thank you."

"That's nothing."

"We also have to give up this man."

From that crowd a woman was thrown at me, she almost hit the ground if I didn't catch her quickly.

"Vilaine?"

"He must have brought them back here" said the resident.

"No, not me. I don't know anything," though Vilaina denies that no one wants to believe her.

I turned my eyes towards the people who cursed him, among them the little boy I met was there looking at me with emotion as if saying please take him.

I nodded in response and whispered towards Vilaina.

"You've been fighting so hard all this time, you better go with us."

"But.."

"If you stay here everyone gets hurt and at the same time you hurt yourself."

"I just want to make amends."

"I think you've been doing it a long time."

Vilaina was crying in my arms while I just stroked her back.
