Chapter 55: The Great Fight

In the ensuing battle, we had to face off against Laura's entire army. Not only did the seven demons serve him we also had to face off against the Undead dragon that was spouting dark smoke capable of pushing everyone into despair.

I let the demons face off with Milfa and Yui, Luck and Nebula taking care of the army of skulls that kept popping up from the ground along with the others.

And for me I take care of the dragon in front of me.

I jumped on top of his head while swinging the sword and the blade hit right on his head. So hard I turned around bouncing backwards, at the same time the adventurers started throwing various ropes to tie them from all directions.

When the movement stopped I lifted my sword covered in darkness, I swung it until the skull dragon split into two pieces.

"Don't let your guard down, the fight is still going on" I shouted.

"Good."

"The fight is still going on" hearing that voice I immediately turned my face away where Laura was sitting on top of the group of people she was stacking on.

"Don't worry, they're still alive, I'm trying not to kill unnecessary people, instead you should be grateful for that."

"Laura," call me.

"Your idea seems to be back, it's easier."

Laura jumped down then took the sword from the person lying down.

"I'm getting tired of fighting the weak, comfort me Jason."

Trangs. Trangs.. Trangs..

Our swords got stuck with each other and Laura whispered into my ear.

"You'll be good to be my slave."

I pushed her body and prepared to slash, Laura nimbly rolled to the side and said.

"Hell Fire."

"Normal people will die if exposed to such things, it reminds me of Jason's past, right" Laura said with a heavy breath.

"I haven't really just been."

"That's good, the hero and demon lord are already destined to fight each other."

Laura lunged at me, I stomped my feet creating a strong wind to stop her.

I kicked him until he was thrown to the side before I finally threw my sword away, we have gone far away from the other fight even though I said anything no one would hear.

Laura got up while fixing her broken bodies, she threw out the sword in her hand as well.

It's something we've just done, fighting each other with our bare hands.

"It's too late, but why did you become the demon king?"

"There's no good reason, I just want to kill a lot of people and cover this world with darkness."

"You hate this world" to my statement Laura was a little surprised which made me even more convinced that she was also previously human.

"You tried to slander witches and make everyone hate them, at first I thought it was done so that no one would call another hero, but the more I think it's definitely not your real motive."

"Why do you think that? The magic no longer appeared when Goddess Abela was locked up, and I managed to eliminate all the witches other than Milfa instead of it being obvious I was doing that so that no one could call again a bully."

"Simply you like to fight and heroes are the ones you want to fight."

Laura exhaled a long breath then glanced at me with a look of hatred shown to others.

"I talk too much, it's true that I hate witches so much that I hate the world."
