Chapter 03: Meeting Elves

In the forest, Rolia and I began to walk through the forest under the moonlight, we had been gone all day but unfortunately I would say we were lost.

I started piling up leaves to sleep, not to forget I also made a bonfire to warm myself.

I used two stones thrown together, at least we were safe from the cold. I grilled some of the mushrooms and fish that I got this afternoon and gave it to Rolia after it had matured.

"Thank you."

I smiled a little at him.

"But those guys are so cruel accusing you of being a witch, I think Rolia is just a sweet-looking ordinary girl."

Rolia's face blushed in embarrassment, I was probably too blunt about it just now, there were still many things I didn't understand about this place but I realized one thing that Rolia wasn't a witch figure that I had to save.

Where is the witch? I have to find out later, the faint sound of wolf howls echoing in the desolate air made Rolia bring her body closer towards me.

He had experienced so much that I let him go until he fell asleep, I carried him and put him to sleep on the pedestal I had made before.

There were people who tried to slander Rolia as a witch and there were also people who were eyeing her for death, I wanted to ask further about it but Rolia might not be ready to tell others including foreigners like me.

I can only wait for him.

In the morning I woke up with little birds crowding me, I grabbed them and flew away. I try to move my body but I can't do it even my feet too.

I just realized that I was tied to a big piece of wood.

"Rollie?" I called out to him and he was on another tree trunk.

"Jason."

"You two dare to enter the land of elves, we will kill you as punishment," the person who said it was a woman with silver-colored hair, she had a tall body with an ideal posture.

His green-layer eyes looked at me full of hostility, his pointy ears being the hallmark of their race.

"Wait a minute.you misunderstood, we just happened to come here, please let go of the girl she's innocent."

"Be quiet, I have the right to decide whether someone is guilty or not."

I froze until a man showed up.

"What is this Mia?"

"Dad, they're coming into our territory.It's possible they're spies from the human kingdom."

The man turned out to be his father, he was younger to a man who had an adult daughter. In the book that I read elves can live hundreds of years or thousands of years maybe this is what is meant.

The man looked at me with a look as if he could penetrate right into your heart, we exchanged glances before he finally laughed.

"Take them both off, they're just ordinary people who get hit by shit."

"But dad, they're human. We know what they did to the forest."

"Then they're both innocent."

The person named Mia seemed to let out a long sigh and then walked towards me while swinging her sword. It cut my strap well, it also untied Rolia.

"You two please come with me, let's talk in a comfortable place," said the man, nodding his assent.
